Legendary New York act Riot V, founded by the late Mark Reale, is looking for you to appear in the upcoming new music video "Take Me Back." Well, the you of your youth - back when hair was a bigger, cans of Aqua Net flew off the shelves and high school attire consisted of spandex and ripped jeans. Send those embarrassing moments to: RiotVRocks@gmail.com. The deadline for submissions is August 14th.
"Take Me Back" is taken from the latest album "Unleash the Fire," which is available now through SPV/Steamhammer Records. Check out our review of the disc at this location.
The band comments: "We know you have a photo or two from back in the day. Photos that you might be a little embarrassed to show, where you had big hair and spandex pants. We want a copy of that photo along with a current photo of you for use in our upcoming video for the song 'Take Me Back'!
"Not that Riot V vocalist Todd Michael Hall loves to be embarrassed, but see his example photos. You do not have to format them for us. We will do that. Just send us two individual files, one from back in the day and one from now, and we will do the rest. Email us your photos to RiotVRocks@gmail.com by August 14th.

The prolific instrumental duo of Steve Moore and A.E. Paterra, known as Zombi, has announced new album "Shape Shift" is due out via longtime label Relapse Records on October 16.
The album marks a return to the group’s rock roots after a detour into electronic textures on previous albums, a path that had been informed by pursuing the group as a long-distance studio project following a withdrawal from live performance in 2007.
Energized by returning to the touring circuit in 2013 (supporting Italian horror soundtrack legends Goblin), the band resumed regular rehearsals to compose as a unit. Moore commented on the new material: “It’s a rock record – think of it as a follow-up to 'Surface To Air.' There are no techno jams or symphonic prog fantasies. No solo track interludes. We have officially moved from ‘studio project’ mode back into ‘live band’ mode.”
The track listing is:
1. Pillars of the Dawn
2. Total Breakthrough
3. Mission Creep
4. Interstellar Package
5. Diffraction Zone
6. Toroidal Vortices
7. Shadow Hand
9. Siberia II More...

A Devastating Truth just checked in with some devastating news about parting ways with two band members:
"Dear friends, we've got some good and bad news for you. First off the bad news.
"We've decided to part ways with our drummer Lucas and our bassist Guido due to a few recent issues concerning the future of our band. We wish them lots of luck with any of their future musical aspirations and their personal lives.
"Further off we've managed to find a new vocalist. Freek Kruijswijk will be filling in the empty spot as vocalist. Last but not least, some words concerning our new music. We're almost done writing our full length and we'll start tracking in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled for the new material.
"P.S. Finishing the album is our main priority right now. The hunt for a new drummer and bassist is on a low profile, but if you think you have the skills required of becoming our new bassist or drummer be sure to contact our guitarist Tim."
