After returning to Exodus last year, it seems Steve "Zetro" Souza will not be continuing as front man for Hatriot any longer. The band comments:
"As some already may know Zetro will not be fulfilling the vocal duties in Hatriot. Zetro has a made a full come back with Exodus, and had originally agreed to perform in both bands full time.
"At the time we were content with Zetro to remain in Hatriot and Exodus. Due to the impact of him returning to Exodus, their recent successful release, and their current hype it had become complicated for Zetro to perform vocals in both bands.
"We had come to the conclusion as a band not to get a new singer and instead promote Cody, Zetro’s son, to bass guitar and vocals. Cody sounds very much in the vein of his father. During Zetro’s time away Cody would fulfill vocals on various practices and shows. Zetro will continue being a part of the Hatriot camp assisting in running operations, writing lyrics, and overseeing the band as a whole.
"We are hard at work on our third studio album, which will debut Cody Souza on vocals. We will be adding the song 'From My Cold Dead Hands' off our sophomore album 'Dawn Of The New Centurion' on our band page featuring Cody on vocals." More...
British metal band Absolva today reveals the artwork for forthcoming 3rd studio album "Never A Good Day To Die," which is set for release on October 12th, 2015. The artwork was handled by CadiesArt and Absolva frontman Chris Appleton has this to say:
"I was lucky enough to have CadiesArt do the cover for my 'Restless' solo acoustic album earlier this year and after that amazing effort it was an obvious choice to invite the same artist for the new Absolva record. I love the way this artwork gives the possibility of both good and bad stories from the meaning of the album title and that's exactly what we wanted. Fans may also notice a familiar Absolva image included (as well as the band logo); it'll be interesting to see if people notice"
Chris continues, "We have a very good idea what the track listing will be but some of the songs are still developing in rehearsal so we'll not reveal the listing until we've completed the recording. We're definitely excited about the 11 or 12 songs which will finally be included." More...
Emerging south west U.K. metal outfit End Of Daze is pleased to announce the release date for debut album "Ascension" as September 14th.
Today the band also releases a taste of what's to come with a lyric video for track "The Tables Have Turned."
Recorded at SVM Studio in Poole with producer Pash Stratton, "Ascension" tells stories of personal experiences and incites strength in the face of adversity; big choruses and huge guitar driven passages is the end result. Vocalist Harry Shooter comments:
"We had an amazing time in the studio and we're all so glad to finally have something to show for all our work. 'The Tables Have Turned' was probably the most fun to record because we wrote it in the studio... We each had as much input as the other which was different for us because for most of the songs, our guitarist Jack [Wood] would have written all the musical elements alone before bringing a first draft of a song to the practise room for us to refine."

4. On Your Knees
5. The Tables Have Turned
6. The Skies Above (Featuring David Seymour)

Aenimus has issued the following statement online seeking fan help in tracking down stolen equipment:
"Today I went to our trailer to find that we had been robbed. We stored our trailer in the back of a gated (locked) parking lot in the industrial area of Santa Rosa while off tour. I went to the trailer to grab our merch, to get our online store up and running again, to find someone cut off the latches that lock our trailer door.
"Sean's Mesa 4x12 cab, w/ enclosed case and my Ampeg 8x10 cab along with all our hoodies, shorts, shot glasses and merch bins were stolen.
"As much as this sucks it could be a lot worse and we are grateful for that. Please share this around so that maybe we can recover our stolen gear. If you see any of our gear please notify the band directly via email and the Santa Rosa Police Department immediately. American horror merchants Kissing Candice today deliver the unsettling video for “Put ‘Em Up,” a single from the new album "Blind Until We Burn," which is available everywhere now.
“We set out to create an organically eerie and abrasive atmosphere for this video,” states guitarist Walt Dicristina. “Along with much of the album as a whole, “Put ‘Em Up” is meant to inspire one to stand up for themselves and what they believe in…leaving their fears and insecurities at the wayside.”

Clint Lowery of Sevendust notes, “We have a lot of history with Godsmack personally and musically and it’s going to be an incredible experience touring with them. This coming August 23rd, 2015 Humality will release new EP "Now Here," and today the band reveals the artwork. Humality comments:
"Once again we were lucky enough to have the talented KTB provide us with Part 2 of the EP artwork. The direction has incorporated the original ideas from the first EP with the story progressing to a darker stage, much like the music."
The "Now Here" track listing is as follows:
Unless you happen to be one of those smart or lucky folks who has nothing to do with Facebook, you've no doubt seen your friends and family throw down over whether or not people should keep displaying the Confederate flag in America.
The controversy erupted when Dylann Roof was arrested for gunning down nine African Americans in a church and photos surfaced of him waving the flag.
That controversy has now hit the music world, with Ted Nugent and conservative rocker Kid Rock teaming up to write a pro-Confederacy song titled "Kiss My Rebel Ass."
It seems even metal isn't immune to the debate, as in an interview with Hard Rock Haven, Philip Anselmo (Down, Superjoint Ritual, Pantera) was asked about the flag appearing on album covers. Excerpts from the chat follow.
HRH: Well I’ve got a question for you that might be an awkward one, but the cover of "Use Once and Destroy" and a lot of Pantera’s merchandise has the Confederate flag on it. What’s your take on all this business…the backlash against the flag? More...

Hardcore/thrash crossover act Crumbsuckers has teamed up with Dead City Records to release three albums of early rare recordings, "Demos," "Basement Tapes," and "Live at CBGB 1984-1985," on July 24th.
Compiled by original singer, Dave Brady, this will be the first time these recordings will be available digitally.
All recorded before Brady's departure from the band, "Demos" features early versions of songs which later appeared on the band's debut album "Life of Dreams." Meanwhile "Basement Tapes" includes early and alternate versions of songs recorded in their rawest form, originally meant for the band's ears only and recorded at various early practice sessions. Finally, "Live at CBGB 1984-1985" contains great quality early live recordings from the CBGB's soundboard. Dead City Records is proud to make the tracks available digitally worldwide for the first time.
"Direct from my personal archive of recordings comes the early days of Crumbsuckers material," commented Brady. "These are some of the earliest surviving recordings of the band, and you can hear the progress from our punk rock roots to what would be called the 'crossover' days of the mid-80s. This is the whole enchilada - from basement tapes, to pro demos and some choice early CBGB board recordings."
The Crumbsuckers formed in 1982 in Long Island, N.Y. as a party band covering songs by groups such as Minor Threat, Bad Brains, and Kraut. The band was best known for the release of the classic and highly influential albums "Life of Dreams" in 1986 and "Beast on my Back" in 1998 before disbanding soon after. More...
Elysian Fields' "Adelain," originally released back in 1995, is now seeing a new edition from Nuclear War Now! Productions due out August 15th. The label comments:
|Greek black metal from the early to mid 1990s is rightfully one of the most celebrated convergences of time and place in the history of the genre. There are relatively few styles in metal that can be so easily identified as having emerged from such a narrowly defined context as the archetypal sound that was pioneered most famously by the likes of Rotting Christ and Varathron.
"Among other less-commonly-referenced bands from the same scene was Elysian Fields, who initially began to garner attention in their country following the circulation of two promo tapes in 1994 and 1995. The unique sound refined in the bands early development and demonstrated on these tapes soon resulted in their signing to the renowned Unisound Records, which in turn led to the 1995 release of Elysian Fields debut album, 'Adelain,' a recording which represents both a nod to their aforementioned fellow countrymen as well as an incorporation of other various influences.
"Although it certainly exhibits primary elements of the black metal immortalized on other Greek albums such as Rotting Christ's Thy Mighty Contract and Varathron's His Majesty at the Swamp, Elysian Fields' 'Adelain' also reflects palpable traits of the death metal exemplified in the early recordings from Swedens At the Gates and the hybrid of gothic death/doom of Britains My Dying Bride.
