Dark Sermon Posts New Track Online

Dark Sermon has debuted another all new single titled "In Each Hand, A Talisman of Sacred Stone.”

"We almost named the record after this song because of how demonstrative it is of the duality of our new material," says front man Johnny Crowder. "It incorporates a lot of the faster blackened influences you're used to hearing from us, but is equally balanced by a slower drone feel that you can expect to become more familiar with once the album is released."

The track comes off upcoming LP "The Oracle," featuring artwork by Shaun Beaudry of Mister Beaudry Illustration.

Crowder adds, "The album art portrays the Divine Feminine in her human form. She speaks with the stars and sacrifices herself in martyrdom, understanding that blood is the only channel the children of Earth are willing to comprehend."

Dark Sermon will release "The Oracle" on August 21st, 2015 via eOne Music / Good Fight Music. The track listing is as follows:

1. Ode To The Black Widow
2. In Each Hand, A Talisman of Sacred Stone

Teloch Vovin Announces New EP

NYC-based occult metal coven Teloch Vovin will unleash the next chapter in the band's recorded lineage with the rapturous tones of the "Further Down The Tunnel" EP on September 23rd. The following press release was also issued about the band:

"The cryptic works of the Teloch Vovin sect have amassed a respectable and diehard legion of devotees for the cult over the past three years, regionally via notable live performances throughout the greater New York City area and internationally through their independently-released 'I' rehearsal promo CD in 2013, and last year's 'Atah Gebur Le-Olam Sathanas' limited edition live CDR.

"Unloading a Khaotic disease ridden, occult-based, black/death metal attack infiltrated with ceremonial bells, chimes and unorthodox instrumentation amidst layered vocal insanity, the band's on-stage rituals include candlelight altars, sacrificial bones and blood, and an ablaze atmosphere of pure death. Lyrically, the outfit delves further into the abyssal unknown than a great majority of their peers, with an incredibly devoted intensity to their craft.

"The first day of autumn will see the delivery of Teloch Vovin's latest works, with the release of the 'Further Down The Tunnel' EP. With a more clarified delivery than the band's prior recordings, the five tracks presented here were engineered, mixed and mastered by Jos-Sothoth, the passages of the new record show the band honing their craft with more slickly-deployed proficiency, yet still retaining the demoralizing, unchained bombast one would expect from this unit. With nearly a half-hour of tormented disharmony, the EP takes the listener one step further from the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, deepening the souls fall into Khaos." More...

The Augments Project Posts New Music Video

Los Angeles based metal band The Augments Project has released the "Awaken" music video off a new EP of the same name, which is available now through Bandcamp.

The video was written by Jimmy Trigger, directed by Trigger & Brian Cox, with filming/editing also handled by Cox. The Augments Project comments:

"The track 'Awaken' was the first song we all wrote together, so it holds special weight for us all. The ideology of the band is for us all to shine in our skill sets, and I think that happened. The result: something fresh & new but hinting that old skool influence. 'Awaken' is an aggressive song, that got me to delve into emotions that I haven't visited in quite a while.

"The song deals with the turmoil's of life and doing our best to succeed regardless. There are a lot of metaphors in each song, but some are very real (Take this noose around my neck that binds me to my lives regrets). You can decide, I guess. The end result should always be a PMA view point, or PMMA (positive mental motherfuckin attitude) as I say." More...
