Shock Recording New Album
Canadian band Shock just issued the following announcement about gearing up to record a new album:
"We have been very quiet, not posting much on the old FB machine in the last few months due to things going on behind the scenes - some things that worked out and some that didn't. We've always been a band that didn't post unless we had something to say - right or wrong that's our approach to social media.
"Any who, we've spent a lot of time working on material for our next album, more time than we've ever spent before a recording, including doing preproduction demos. We're very excited that next week we start the recording of our follow-up to 'Once Denied,' so we've fired up the diesel powered generator, blown the dust off the Commodore 64 and peeled the plastic off our last AOL free trial CD to reconnect to the interwebs.
"We'll be posting some videos and pictures of the process cause, well - that's what you're supposed to do - right? Plus it's cool... We just need to figure out how to do all that from a flip-phone."
A music video for "Full Speed Ahead" taken off previous album "Once Denied" can also be seen below. More...

Tidemouth Streaming Full Album
The new Tidemouth album, "Velvet and Stone," is now streaming online in its entirety. Check it out below. Melotov Records also comments:
"'Velvet and Stone,' five years in the making, shows this LA band to be fully evolved from its former screamo self. Many hardcore bands discover goth and post-punk and make a shift in that direction but in Tidemouth's case the band has followed that path and found its own greatness.
"Not fad or fashion, 'Velvet and Stone' is pure soul: wrathful hardcore punk (arguably 'blackened,' by virtue of its sheer intensity), brooding, dead-end blues, and the 'ghostly, gothic cadences' that PunkNews references add up to something real and new."
Graveworm Teases Bon Jovi Cover

Deicide: "This Will Be Our Last U.S. Tour...."
After Entombed A.D. was booted from the trek and the "Metal Alliance" name was taken off the tour posters, Deicide has finally posted this series of messages via Facebook about what happened with this ill-fated tour:
"These are the final dates to this tour, we could have just said fuck this whole mess, and been done with it! We don't do business like that and believe there is honor in finishing it not for ourselves but for the fans who deserve to see the band and who expect us to show up! This will be our last U.S. TOUR FOR A LONG LONG LONG TIME, come on out and support these great bands
"What happen with this tour is this...the agents put together a package that the local promoters had no faith in and couldn't afford and we're all asking to cancel their dates, so to keep it going and finish it out entombed were told to go home not by us. But by the agents that set up this tour so the local promoters could still do the shows, we are all in this mess together and I can assure you we will never get involved in anything like this ever again.
"We had nothing to do with entombed being kicked off tour blame metal alliance, there fucking mess!
"METAL ALLIANCE IS WHO YOU SHOULD BE ANGRY WITH, THIS FUCKING TOUR IS THERE BIG FUCKING MESS, NOT DEICIDE WE ARE ONLY GUILTY OF AGREEING TO DO THE TOUR!" More...
