Debut album "As The Crow Flies" is set for release on April 22nd, 2016 and was produced by Sterling Winfield (Pantera, Damageplan, Hellyeah, Texas Hippie Coalition) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Rush, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Beastie Boys, Pantera).
Check out the "Pure Revolution" single below. Vocalist Chris Raposo comments on the track: "It's about not putting too much energy and stock into the negative energies that surround people... and knowing your value and the value of those who want you because of simply who you are, nothing more... it's a revolution in thought and action towards the ones that underestimate... once we find ourselves, were all a force to be reckoned with and it's up to us to show them what we got." Hollow Bones Releasing "Lionheart"
Empire State melodic metalcore quintet Hollow Bones will self-release debut album, "Lionheart," on May 27th. Over a year in the making, "Lionheart" was mixed, mastered and engineered by Randy Pasquarella at Pasquarella Recordings and self-produced by Hollow Bones with Pasquarella's assistance.
The band comments: "We are incredibly proud to present our debut album 'Lionheart.' It took us over a year to get everything we wanted, and although it was a long wait, we couldn't be happier with the final product. We hope that the passion we put into making this album rings true with people who are looking to find solace in music. We hope that people hear the words we are saying and are inspired to take action, or are relieved in knowing they are not alone and that others have felt the way they do and that there is reprieve. Our mission from the beginning has always been, and will always be, to find people who are as passionate about music as we are about creating it. Promote what you love, and use music to heal."
Last year Hollow Bones launched a music video for the first "Lionheart" single, "Drytooth," which can be seen here. In our exclusive premiere of the video, vocalist Patrick Anthony commented:
"Thematically 'Drytooth' is very dark. I lost my brother in 2007, and the song is really about not being able to move past it. Carrying around the weight of not knowing whether it was an intentional death or not. It is about the hole in your life that someone can leave, regardless of how or why you have lost them. It is about watching someone you love suffer through tremendous depression, and being powerless to do anything. More...

Reign Of Fury Catches A Wanking Driver
While out on the road touring, U.K. metal outfit Reign Of Fury came across something you don't typically see everyday: a driver full on jerking off on the highway. After Reign Of Fury filmed the incident, the story has managed to break out into the non-metal news sites. Mirror.co.uk reports:
Ross, from Horsham, West Sussex, said: "Obviously lots of bands have stories from being on tour but I think the 'wanking van driver' trumps them all. It was just unbelievable. It was clear as day what he was doing - there was no doubt left in our minds. The image has been burned into my mind and just pops up on its own - it's horrible.
"We beeped our horn at him to let him know we were watching him and he just carried on doing it. He didn't seem to care at all. It didn't faze him in the slightest. He seemed happy to be being watched. It's pretty disgraceful behaviour. He certainly wasn't giving his full attention to the road so that is dangerous.
"I still can't process what I saw, it was that horrible. He definitely did not have two hands on the wheel, let's put it that way."
Reign Of Fury released the "Death Be Thy Shepard" album last year, which is available for streaming in full at this location. More...

Augury Announces Return Of Antoine Baril
Augury has checked in with the following announcement about the return of former member Antoine Baril:
"We are happy to announce that drummer Antoine Baril is back in Augury. The recording is still underway and the process will be completed toward the end of the year. Antoine has been part of Augury from 2009 to 2012 so it was a natural and logical choice at the same time, since its a long time friend and somebody we admire a lot (you can hear one of his most recent work on the latest Deviant Process album 'Paroxysm').
"The band is actually starting the recording of the bass at Humanoise Studio with Mat, followed by vocals, guitar solos and acoustic guitars. The drums will be recorded at Hemisphere Studio this summer by Antoine. You can therefore expect some studio videos from us soon! To conclude, the mix and mastering work will be done by Christian Donaldson at The Grid in Montreal at the end of
the year, so be prepared to finally hear a new Augury album!"
Antoine comments: ''It's a pleasure and an honor for me to be back in the team again. I'm totally stoked to hear the new material that I have to work on and it's also a really cool thing to bring back some pre-prod that I already did with the band back in 2012. The chemistry is fully installed like it was before and the vibe is absolutely wonderful. Let's grind some drum sticks!!!'' More...

Backdawn Announces New Album
French extreme metal quartet Backdawn will release new album "I Shall Burn Your Empire" on 20th April, 2016. Composed of anger, violence and pure aggression, "I Shall Burn Your Empire" encapsulates the theatre of brutality that is Backdawn.
Recorded and mixed by Clement Decrock of Boss Hog Studio France and mastered by Annihilator’s Jeff Waters at his Watersound Studio, "I Shall Burn Your Empire" follows the band’s debut album, "Through Extermination" [2013]. Vocalist and lead guitarist Chris Snaeder had this to say on the recording process:
"It was a painful and intense session, and I think you can hear it in our production. It took two years work to write this album, and when we knew that Jeff would work on it too, we wanted to produce the best record we could…
"Work is work, when you want to get the best then you have to throw your entire soul and all your energy into it. We did just that, and at the end of the two weeks recording session, we listened to the whole unmixed album and it was already sounding great." More...

Wrong Relates Band's Brief History And Philosophy
Even though Miami, Florida-based Wrong played a stoner/doom-heavy festival called Heavy Metal Parking Lot during the week of SXSW in Austin, Texas, the band didn’t display much of those sounds. Sure, singer/guitarist Eric Hernandez claims the Melvins as an influence. Also, he played in bands that seem more aligned with that movement like Kylesa and Torche (and even spent some time as Corrosion of Conformity’s drummer). Wrong’s style is more in step with groove metal bands from the ‘90s like Helmet and UNSANE.
Wrong plays syncopated, aggressive rhythms that get into your brain and beat on it. They were certainly one of the bands that stood out at this festival. The group is still a new entity, though, so we caught up with Hernandez to talk about some of the band’s history, influences and philosophy for making music. Read on to learn more about this new band and watch for their self-titled, first album to come out on Relapse Records at the end of this month. More...
