After parting ways with Dominic "Forest" Lapointe earlier this week, Beyond Creation has now issued the following update about recruiting a new bassist:
"It is a great pleasure to announce that Hugo Doyon-Karout is now part of Beyond Creation as our new bass player!
"Being a very talented, forward thinking musician and a 6 string fretless bass player as well, he proved himself to be right what we needed to complete our formation. As most of you may not know, Kevin and Hugo have been playing together with our brothers in Brought By Pain for the past 3 years, allowing us to develop a close friendship and musical synergy along the way.
"It is the start of an exciting and inspiring experience for us and we'd like to thank every fan for their supportive attitude towards our evolving musical journey." More...
Night Posts New Single
In this first single from the upcoming "Soldiers Of Time" album, Night leaves its safe home to go exploring "Across The Ocean." Join the band in this journey below.
Night went back to the future to reinvent the band's self-proclaimed "80's heavy metal before 81" attitude. Upcoming album "Soldiers Of Time" tells a larger story holding 11 tracks of pure rockin' music where the band explores new territories and reconnects with the force that burns strong within. On the 2nd of March the album will be released worldwide.
"Soldiers Of Time" was recorded at Studio Underjord by Joona Hassinen (Year of the Goat, Skreakoedlan, Vanhelgd) and produced by Niels Nielsen (Ghost BC, Dead Soul). The drums on the album were handled by Martin Hjerstedt (Pg.Lost, Dead Soul), while the cover was made by Mattias Frisk. More...

Sister Of... Reveals New Album Details
On May 12th, Crowquill Records will finally release "The Serpent, the Angel, the Adversary," the debut full-length by St. Joseph's Missouri's Sisters Of... Crowquill Records also comments:
"The band's debut EP 'Follow Me As A Ghost' was hailed by critics and fans alike, and now the band has taken their music to the next level with an album that will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the best of 2015.
"Fans of Neurosis, Isis, Pelican and Russian Circles need to pay attention, as this album is what post-metal fans have been waiting for!
"The band is a project of musical mastermind Aaron Coker, who is best known for his jaunts as drummer in bands such as the Appleseed Cast and Reggie and the Full Effect. While those projects showcased Aaron's proficiency in more mainstream music, his new project shows that he is just as deft with heavier music. Once Aaron was joined by Chris Clark, the project became known as Sisters Of..."
Crowquill Records founder BJ Dierkes further comments: "Within seconds of listening to their first EP Follow Me as a Ghost,' I knew that we were going to sign these guys. From the beginning, the entire deal really revolved around putting out *this* record, their first full-length on vinyl. That was in mid-2013, making this the longest running project that we've been involved with as a label. I've heard every stage of the record from early writing, to scratch tracks with drums, and all the way through mixing and post-production. Aaron and Chris have created a phenomenal record, and we could not be any more ecstatic to be putting it out with them." More...

Vale Of Pnath Parts With Guitarist

"Unfortunately, we have to announce that we have parted ways with guitarist, Mikey Reeves. It has been a honor and a privilege to work with him for over 8 years.

The Beautiful Ones Releasing New Album
The first full-length release from Arizona's The Beautiful Ones has finally been announced: "Jaded Love" is set for an April 21st release date and the first song from the release, "Exhale (Room 312)," is available to stream below. 6131 Records comments:
"At first blush, it might seem easy to dismiss The Beautiful Ones as yet another in a long line of current hardcore bands aping late '80s NYHC conventions. Upon further investigation, a deeper and more genuine aesthetic becomes apparent, as evidenced on their new full length, 'Jaded Love.'
"The NYHC elements are undeniably present, yet a broader spectrum of influences stand out as well. Clearly the band has been listening to everything from Alice In Chains to Slowdive and have impressively melding them into one cohesive sound all their own.
"Unafraid to explore their mellower side, The Beautiful Ones recruited Pity Sex vocalist Britty Drake to sing on two of their new songs, including 'The Morning' which features Drake handling lead vocal duties.
"The result is unlike anything heard on records from their contemporaries and nods towards a certain progression for the band. The Beautiful Ones are not the sort of band that sets out to turn things on their head, but with Jaded Love they may be naturally stepping in that direction, and the results are striking."
The album's track listing is as follows:
1. Jaded 01:41
2. Preface (Take It All Away) 02:54
3. Exhale (Room 312) 04:04
4. Transcend 03:27
5. The Morning 02:08
6. Flowercrown 04:06
7. Lovers Stomp 03:35
8. Bloom & Destroy 03:58
9. Stay 01:38
10. Heart in a Jar 03:42
11. Nothing. Existing. Missing. 04:06 More...

This vinyl edition will be limited to 500 copies (200 X grey vinyl + 300 X black vinyl). Some copies will come with a strictly limited certificate hand signed by both bands. The release date is scheduled for April 13th, and the record label comments:
"Side A - Hymn Of The Afterlife
"The Abysmal Grief, historical lords of Italian dark sound, propose an horror/dark Ambient track conceived as a hymn to the afterlife and to the tragic fate that our frail, short lives share.
Death is a lady and noble Queen. She is the destiny of every man.
"Side B - Snuff The Nun
"The Italian master of experimental music, Claudio Dondo, proposes with his Runes Order an horror/dark Ambient song with a gothic decadent atmosphere. The track is a macabre hymn to pleasure and blasphemy portraying the profanation of the sacred through sbyff rituals of which the artist is a follower and faithful admirer. Alex De Siena, who was his partner in the Star Matter project, is both the singer and the priestess performing the rite."
Cold Lungs Posts 24 Minute Video
On the southside of Edmonton in the dead of winter, Cold Lungs set out to gather friends from the local hardcore scene to record a first live video.
It was shot entirely live off the floor in the practice space for Cold Lungs and a few other local bands. Chad Steeves Photography, Firth Photography, and a couple of GoPro's captured the madness that ensued.
The entire EP "New Pictures//Old Frames" was played front to back (along with 2 older songs) by 3 frenzied young men. This video represents two parts: one dim and the other grim, the black and white filming gives viewers a sense of the atmosphere and the loud abrasive music showcases the aggression of the Edmonton Hardcore scene. The video spans just under 24 minutes covering every facet of their passionate performance. Check it out below, thanks to PureGrainAudio.com.
Bassist / vocalist Justin comments: "This video couldn't have happened without the help of these insanely talented people we're lucky to call our friends.. Alley Kat brewery were also kind enough to give us a keg of beer, and a ton of people were kind enough to drink said beer and trash our basement. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out, it has the exact mood and atmosphere we want to create for our music, abrasive and chaotic." More...
