After unearthing the "Black Throne Of All Creation," the death metal explorers from Dehuman have now discovered the "Graveyard of Eden" (reviewed here), with the discovery set to be shared with the rest of the metal world in March.
Today we provided a sneak peek with an exclusive full album stream (still available right here). Along with that stream, Dehuman drummer Laye Louhenapessy and bassist / vocalist Andrea Vissol shared an extensive look at the album's creation and what the band hoped to achieve with this sophomore full-length release.
Andrea had this to say: "What 'Graveyard of Eden' is aiming for is to contrast with today's ultra compressed and generic material that our generation seem to have fallen into. Pure aggressive music, that shoots for creating the new, while not forgetting the old."

Michigan outfit I Am Abomination has checked in with the following statement about touring guitarist Shawn Reed passing away:
"As most of you know, in the past we have had several touring guitar players in I Am Abomination.
"One of those guitarists was our good friend Shawn Reed and unfortunately, we learned that he passed away yesterday. Shawn was very talented and a great person, and it is truly a shame that he was taken so early.
"Shawn's family has set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral and burial expenses, Donations are truly appreciated and any amount will help."
Italy's Bullet-Proof form in August of 2014 with founding members Diego Polli (bass) and Richard (vocals) and Lukas Hupka (drums).
To achieve the full, desired sound, they were still missing something important, and after many changes and tests, the band found the right solution in guitarist Andrea Demasi.
Now a full band, Bullet-Proof concluded in early January the recording of a first album. You can also see the band's new video for "The Cage" below.
Hailing from the Toronto sector of the Canadian province of Ontario, Abyss has locked a deal with Olympia, Washington's 20 Buck Spin for the release of the faction's first full-length album, "Heretical Anatomy." The label comments:
"Exploding with a tenebrous style of stygian, grinding death metal, witnessed through two prior demos including The Reins Of Horror via Dark Descent Records, 'Heretical Anatomy' documents the first fully realized glimpse into the dark surging Abyss.
"Hideous shapes and bloodthirsty rites of the Old Ones are viciously summoned upon the bones and bowels of the Earth, through eight odes to nameless terrors and protean revulsion mercilessly ripped from the flayed life of the cosmos and dripping with crimson adoration. The frenzied blasting of early American and U.K. death metal and grindcore, before a distinct separation between the two existed, is a hallmark of 'Heretical Anatomy,' yet the overwhelming speed scattered throughout the album's duration is expertly applied, never descending into a one dimensional space where only velocity is the basis for existence.
"Songs are crafted with the care of the elder gods, rigorously refined with a seasoned sophistication, always maintaining a sharply primitive ferocity. Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust adds his touch to the production, mixing and mastering this malformed death metal and the horror of its Lovecraftian persona." More...

While Heaven Wept has issued the following announcement about cancelling all upcoming European tour dates and festival appearances:
"In 25 years of While Heaven Wept, this is surely the most heartbreaking statement that I’ve had to make, but it is vital that we let all of our friends, fans, and partners know that as of today, all proposed and previously confirmed European dates are cancelled, including the Rock Hard Festival.
"Despite all of our efforts, and those of our agents, local promoters, and even past business partners, the numbers simply are not adding up…and the necessary resources do not exist to self-finance. Along with Rock The Nation and several industry friends, I’ve spent 5 months attempting to pull everything together, and though we’ve come very close to making it happen…it’s just not close enough.
"Without getting into every last detail, the gist is that when we agreed to accept Rock Hard’s offer, conscious of the fact that it really only accounted for at best, 3 roundtrip flights from the USA, I assumed it would be no problem to arrange enough dates to cover the balance (as we are a 7 piece band - often touring as a 6 piece to reduce expenses), as well as the costs of ground transportation, crew, taxes, tolls, etc. More...

Stepping a bit outside the boundaries of black metal, Forever Plagued was compelled by the dark nature of this otherwise-unknown band from Italy. Fronted by a violin player named Ecnerual, Mourning Mist has a very avant-garde nature about it while still being nicely arranged with darker atmospheres.
Lyrically dripping with misanthropic topics on mankind and its existence, those of us who enjoy black metal but are also into the darker side of music in general will find Mourning Mist to their liking.
