Gabe Seeber Posts Drum Play Through Video
There are many many artists in music today, from pop to metal, that would not be who they are or where they are without YouTube. The possibilities are endless when the right song or video begins to make the rounds and ends up achieving viral status that was typically never expected or intended.
The Kennedy Veil's own Gabe Seeber has decided to get more involved in creating content for fans to watch and share around via YouTube. The first of several upcoming drum play throughs has now been released for "Mental Crucifixion," a track by melodic tech death band Vale of Pnath, from the 2011 album, "Prodigal Empire."
Check it out below, and stay tuned as many more drum play through clips from Seeber will drop throughout the year.
2014 was a banner year for Gabe, with The Kennedy Veil releasing debut album, "Trinity of Falsehood" on January 21st, 2014 via Unique Leader Records, and immediately hitting the road in support of the album alongside labelmates Lord of War and Arkaik. Gabe was also a member of Sacramento tech death outfit and Unique Leader labelmates, Alterbeast. Gabe re-recorded the drums for what would become that band's UL debut album, "Immortal," which saw a release in March of 2014.
In late Spring of 2014, Gabe confirmed that he would once again be the touring drummer for Decrepit Birth for the Summer Slaughter Tour run, alongside death metal legends Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus and more. About a month after returning home from Summer Slaughter, Gabe hit the road with Alterbeast, alongside Chelsea Grin and headliners Suicide Silence and The Black Dahlia Murder for a month long tour across North America, which included being a part of the VIP Kick Off Party for Knotfest in San Bernardino, CA. In late 2014, Gabe officially parted ways with Alterbeast in order to focus more on The Kennedy Veil. More...
Orakle Reveals Album Artwork
French extreme metal band Orakle just unveiled the artwork for forthcoming album "Éclats," with all the cover and interior art of the album based around the sculptures of Robert Le Lagadec (1927-2002). A French documentary about Robert Le Lagadec’s works is available at DailyMotion.
Earlier in January, Orakle uploaded a two-part making of "Éclats" that can still be seen over at this location. Seven years has passed since the band's last opus, 2008's "Tourments & Perdition." Seven years that has allowed the band to build a very personal and audacious album, where black metal merges with a more experimental and dissonant sound with some prog rock influences.
"Éclats" will be released on May 11th via Apathia Records. Pre-orders will start on February 16th, 2014. More...
Inertia Posts "Forbidden Door" Lyric Clip
Five piece metalcore band Inertia has a debut lyric video out now for the track "Forbidden Door," which features David Moore of As We Walk. "Forbidden Door" is taken from the upcoming debut Inertia album "Tribulations." The band comments:
"For a more theatrical experience, the story takes place with a main character in the 18th century who is an artist, more of a painter than anything. One day he finds himself waking from a dream he can’t remember only to discover his flesh devoured with scorch marks. Having no memory of this or of anything else about himself, his life, he only knows that his art is all that remains. One thing he can’t escape from however, is the haunting image in his head. An image that will not go away, an image of what appears to be an angel or a demon, he thinks.
"As the images continue to haunt, he decides to apply his visions to a large canvas. Thinking to himself, once he’s done, all the answers will come to him. Little does he know what lies in store for him. Inertia’s first single is chapter three of the story, 'Forbidden Door.' Where the artist finds himself waking up in the middle of the night to find out hell has entered his home, from the demonic sketches that he put away in a room. A nightmare is about to begin..." Shining Comments On Upcoming Album
Swedish outfit Shining (not to be confused with the Norwegian band of the same name) recently announced the band's upcoming full-length will be titled "IX - Everyone, Everything, Everywhere, Ends" and will hit the streets on the 20th of April via Season of Mist. A pre-sale is scheduled to begin on February 4th.
Mastermind Niklas Kvarforth comments: "Shining, the ninth, has been given the name of 'IX - Everyone, Everything, Everywhere, Ends'. For once I am extremely pleased with how this album turned out. I believe that the fevered presence of filth and uncompromising darkness is more prominent than ever before.
"Not only will our more recent fan-base 'enjoy' the oppression contained therein, but I am also certain that those who stopped listening to Shining after our fifth album will find the new one plague-ridden with what some might have felt was lacking on the more recent efforts… that atmosphere of old."
Shining also unveiled a new official website today, which can be found over at this location. Stay tuned for more info on the band's upcoming album.

The music is in the same vein as always; raw and brutal black metal without any compromises. The album will be all done in March, but released in the fall, so on our upcoming concerts we'll probably play a few of the new songs. We'll make it worth the wait!"
Currently, the band is scheduled to make a rare North American appearance at this year's Maryland Deathfest alongside international metal stalwarts Sodom, Suffocation, Arcturus, and more.
Tsjuder also recently released pro-shot, live footage of an entire set at Hellfest. The performance is currently streaming at this location and includes a new track from the band, titled "Demonic Supremacy." More...

War Curse Premieres "Blue Line of Injustice"
The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it." - George Orwell
"The song “Blue Line of Injustice” is a direct reflection on the unfortunate society we’re living in," explains Cincinnati thrash act War Curse.
The band continues, "The value of human life varies greatly depending on socioeconomic status and the neighborhood (or country) in which you were born. Look no further than the streets of New York City and the death of Eric Garner for proof that justice isn’t always served. When a man is choked to death over suspicion of selling a cigarette, and his killer not only walks free, but maintains his job as a member of law enforcement, there is a problem.
"People are fed up, and our hearts are with them. Until everyone, regardless of profession, is held to the same human standard, and accountability for one’s actions is equal and acceptable across the board, there will be no peace in the streets. We’re heading down a very ugly path in America right now and it’s the duty of every citizen to voice their opinion in a civil, intelligent, but ferociously non compromising manor when it comes to the systematic abuse of power.
"This song, this album, and this band is devoted to speaking the inconvenient truths that need to be heard. If we offend a few people along the way, that’s fine. At least we’re standing up for our beliefs and being heard, and to us, that’s what being a musician is all about." More...

Asked if the band has commenced the songwriting process for the follow-up to 2013's "Deceiver Of The Gods", the band's bassist, Ted Lundström, stated earlier this month: "Yeah, we just started very recently. We have some ideas for songs and lyrics, but we haven't really sat down to put it together yet. But after this European tour, that will be our main focus, just to work on the album 24/7. So hopefully we can record it after the summer. That's the plan. But we don't have any finished songs yet."

Gary Holt Demonstrates New ESP Signature Axe
During an appearance at last month's NAMM show in Anaheim, California, Gary Holt of Exodus and Slayer unveiled his new signature model based on the ESP Eclipse. The Gary Holt signature models come in a high-end ESP version (ESP Gary Holt) and 2 LTD versions, the GH-600 and GH-200. All come with Floyd Rose tremolo system and dual humbucker pickups.
Explains Gary: "We have 3 price-point models. You have the top-of-the-line, most badass guitar I've ever seen and ever been associated with. And then you have, over there, you have the black-and-red one, which I think is as stunning as anything. It's affordable and it plays amazing - an incredible guitar. And here you have your starter guitar, which is still better than anything I started out with as a kid. It's, like, awesome."
