Gristnam Streaming Music From New Album
"Even Less" is the latest full-length album from Louisiana sludge grind assassins, Gristnam.
Featuring former members of haarp and Omean, Gristnam lives by the grind-groove-repeat ethos spewing out billowing odes of revulsion, disease, and chronic disenchantment.
Out now on Housecore Records, "Even Less" is a dual bruiser that features five tracks from the band's 2013-issued "Release 1" EP and six new violent requiems.
In commemoration of its release, today CvltNation.com is hosting a stream of "Guilt Runs Red" and "Copperhead." Listen in below. The full track listing is as follows:

Seagrave Releasing "Stabwound"
Art of Propaganda is proud to present the debut album of Seagrave, titled "Stabwound" and set for international release on April 27th. The label also comments:
"Although a very new name, formed in 2014, Seagrave is actually the solo-project of Harakiri for the Sky's J.J., whose band released the critically acclaimed Aokigahara last year via Art of Propaganda.
"Here with 'Stabwound,' J.J. in Seagrave seeks to meld shoegazing black metal, melodic post-hardcore, and D-beat death metal...and does so, with dazzling results. From blistering beginning to mournful end, 'Stabwound' winds its way through a kaleidoscopic, sometimes-caustic array of colors, each song a patiently unfolding epic that uniquely spans a wide swath of sonic territory.
"Some will point to this sound as being rather nouveau, but J.J.'s roots in black metal stretch back to the mid-2000s with Hoffnungstod and then the subsequent Karg; thus, his integration of black metal tropes into other, seemingly disparate musical bedfellows is both authentic and daring. What results is a record that strives for catharsis, by any musical means necessary - after all, its central lyrical themes are the downsides of life like estrangement, broken relationships, depression, and drug abuse - and explodes with emotive, genuinely heart-wrenching violence. Healing from 'Stabwound' will not be an easy process..."

PanzerBastard Releasing Split With Rawhide
Unholy Anarchy Records, in conspiracy with Anvileater Records, will present a 7" split between Boston's PanzerBastard and Sweden's Rawhide on March 24th. Almost a year in the works, this slab of nasty wax is sure to get your blood boiling and your head cranking. Unholy Anarchy comments:
"Both bands need little introduction. PanzerBastard have been cracking skulls for over 10 years with a hybrid style of speed metal meets hardcore punk meets whatever the hell they feel like throwing in. These three tracks are just nasty, and come on the heals of the band's split with Tenebrae (available through Jailhouse Records).
"Rawhide have been on a path of destruction since their inception in 2003, with two full-lengths and a handful of demos, EPs and splits. Rawhide's two tracks are laden with riffs and memorable hooks using thier filthy, dirty, stripped down style of punk-infused rock. The band is also releasing a split with the almighty Hookers, which will be co-released by Devil's Grip Records, Totem Cat Records and Little T&A Records soon." More...

Bosse-De-Nage Gets On "All Fours"
Bosse-De-Nage has completed work on new album "All Fours," which is coming April 14th via Profound Lore Records. The band also issued this typically enigmatic statement:
“When she was a child, Marie decided to live her life as a horse. She greatly enjoyed her agony, but eventually the humiliations of the saddle lost their appeal. She lives with me now, in this house where every night we play the same game. It begins at dusk; Marie taunts me with her naked breasts, which hang like dazzling moons, then I dump one of our many overflowing ashtrays over her body. The ashes cling to the urine on her torn clothes forming new, amusing patterns each time. At night she reenacts scenes from her passion. She kicks and screams on all fours—her violent dressage thrills me. When she is too tired to move, I collect the bitter flakes from her head. I press against her naked body and squeeze it until she loses any remaining pretense of beauty. These acts are nauseating but necessary.”

Tempel Wrapping Up Work On Album
Following the Prosthetic release of mammoth 2014 debut "On the Steps of the Temple," the Arizona instrumental metal duo Tempel is currently putting the final touches on a new album.
The group, consisting of Ryan Wenzel (guitars/keys) and Rich Corle (drums), will soon finish tracking the new material at Wenzel’s Phoenix-area home studio, Arrowhead. An upcoming Summer release is expected.
“For us, this new album represents a big evolution in all aspects of our work,” commented Wenzel. “This is a heavier, yet more melodic album than our debut. It’s a clear representation of where we are musically. We poured ourselves into this album for nearly two years, and we have never been more proud of our music.“
Added Corle, “The goal was to make sure everything was constantly moving in these songs. We didn’t want anything to interrupt the forward momentum. At the same time, we wanted to work in all the different types of metal we love that we didn’t feel were represented on the debut.” More...

Vampire Posts "The Fen" Video
Swedish horror death metal band Vampire has completed a video clip for "The Fen," taken from the band's self-titled debut album (reviewed here).
This work of art was done by Mr. Daniel Garptoft of Dirt Frame and can be seen below, courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting.com. Vampire's lead singer Hand of Doom comments on the video:
"Working with Daniel Garptoft for the first Vampire video certainly fleshed out the aesthetics already in place on our 2014 album. We wanted something that gives off a classic horror film vibe, and that resonates with the recurring style of 'Scandinavian Gothic' present in much Swedish horror and thriller fiction from recent years.
"The video for 'The Fen' elaborates loosely on the content of the song lyrics, but also does a good job at accentuating the moods of the music. To us in the band, it refreshes one of our favorite tracks off the album, and reinforces the status of a popular live song as an essential aspect of the Vampire experience. More...

Jaded Star Details Debut Album

With over forty-five minutes of Jaded Star's energetic forward-thinking melodic heavy metal, "Memories From The Future" was produced by vocalist Maxi Nil (ex-Visions Of Atlantis), mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordstrom at the legendary Fredman Studios in Sweden (Arch Enemy, At the Gates, Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Opeth, etc.), and features ten brand new epic anthems. Guitar hero Kosta Vreto, with his unique finger strumming style, eschews the plectrum in favor of a raw, organic sound that literally comes straight through his hands. Babis Nikou on the bass brings a solid foundation and the chemistry between he and Maxi as the songwriting team provides emotion to match the power of the sound.

Sanctuary Announces New Guitarist For Tour
The 2014 comeback album, "The Year The Sun Died," from the legendary Seattle band SANCTUARY took the metal world by storm (see review here). The four original band members - Warrel Dane (vocals, ex-Nevermore), Lenny Rutledge (guitars), Jim Sheppard (bass, ex-Nevermore) and Dave Budbill (drums) - proved to be still on top of the game with an album that pleased every old fan without sounding old fashioned.
Now, Sanctuary is proud to announce the next chance to witness old and new songs live in Europe! The tour starts with a very special show in London before they join the mighty Overkill on a couple of mainland shows while finishing the trip with two headlining gigs in Greece.
The live line-up will be completed by the guitar talent of Nick Cordle. Lenny Rutledge comments: "Brad Hull has recently parted ways with Sanctuary. We are excited to welcome Nick Cordle from Arch Enemy and Arsis to the Sanctuary team. Nick is an amazing musician and we believe he will bring a fresh energy to the line-up. You can see Nick Cordle with Sanctuary this March touring Europe on the Killfest tour."
