Wormreich Working On New Album
Wormreich was formed in 2009 by guitarist/vocalist Vulk and joined by current and former members of Blood Stained Dusk, Ancient, and Hallows Eve. despite tragedy and death, Wormreich has returned to unleash Satan's will upon the Earth!
Currently the band is working on a next full-length album, to be titled "Vril: Elixir of Death and the Void," and also just signed a management deal with Alpha Omega.
Comments Vulk (guitars/vocals): "We are honored and pleased to sign with Alpha Omega Management. This new partnership will allow Wormreich to take our supreme Luciferian art to the next level, and subject our void-worshiping live rituals to a much wider audience the world over!"
Alpha Omega Management adds: "We are so thrilled to announce the signing of the black metal horde, Wormreich, who emerged from deep within the fetid and rotten bowels of America's bible belt! We're looking forward to bring their rituals and art on stages everywhere, so stay connected for next announcements!"
About the band's upcoming releases, Vulk reveals: "As of now, we are currently in the process of writing and recording our next full-length album, to be titled 'Vril: Elixir of Death and the Void.' We will also be putting out three split releases through various labels this year: a split 12" LP with Florida's legendary Kult ov Azazel, a split 7" with Texas black/death titans Hod, and a split CD with North Carolina's Vesterian and two other artists yet to be announced. More details will be released in due time. We also wish to announce that our first full-length album, 2011's 'Edictvm DCLXVI,' will be reissued sometime this year through Black Plague Records. The 69 Eyes Posts Making-Of Clip
Helsinki's The 69 Eyes recently proudly announced the release of new, 11th studio album to be titled "Universal Monsters." It will be released on April 22nd via Nuclear Blast, and to bridge the gap until the album is unleashed, the band just launched a new making-of trailer.
Vocalist Jyrki commented: “The 69 Eyes are a guitar rock band. The main sound relies on two guitars, bass and drums - a classic set up. The overall sound is also shaped by all members' different musical backgrounds.
"Rhythm guitarist Timo-Timo's musical inspiration used to be punk rock, classic UK '77 punk as well as 80's hardcore punk. Not only just rhythm guitar, he's often behind the melodic guitar licks the make The 69 Eyes songs so memorable. No beers in these sessions but you’ll get to hear a glimpse of the next single pick from the album called 'Dolce Vita'! Still some two months to for that and the album though. Naturally it's pure co-incidence that his features are strangely similar to Bela Lugosi…" More...

Nonpareil Streaming "Blood Cockles And Gutter Oil"
New band Nonpareil – comprising ex-members of Abigail Williams, The Bled, Death of Marat, Blues, and more – reveals the "Blood Cockles and Gutter Oil" track online today. This song opens up the Phoenix, Arizona band's debut EP, "Allergen."
Nonpareil layers ironclad noise-rock with the desperation of post-hardcore. Churning, bruising rhythms of the Shellac variety are topped by wild-eyed vocals and leads that nod to the Gravity Records school of emotional distress.
The EP's lyrics are based largely in frontman Connor Woods' experiences traveling in China for a year - "themes of alienation, isolation and an aversion to the misguidedness of human progress," in Woods' words.

Daydream XI Posts Drum Playthrough
Brazilian progressive metal outfit Daydream XI just launched a drum playthrough video for the track "The Guts of Hell." Check it out below.
"On this recording we wanted to showcase what the drums are really doing underneath the wall of guitars and vocals by making the drums louder in the mix," drummer Bruno Giordan told DrumMagazine.com. "There are a lot of cool double bass pedal patterns, some very heavy sections as well as a very wide usage of the drum kit on this song."
"The Guts of Hell" comes from the band's debut album, "The Grand Disguise," which released in September 2014 on Power Prog. Daydream XI is currently at Monostereo Studios recording the follow-up to "The Grand Disguise."
"The recording process of our second album has gone really well," added Giordano. "This time I brought some new influences to my playing and sought inspiration in different places. Even though the arrangements are harder to play and way more technical than on our first album, the recordings ran easier because I was much more prepared this time. It was a fun process in a very light environment at Monostereo Studios and, despite the difficulty of some sections, I think I was able to take my drumming to another level this time." More...

Season of Mist is proud to announce the new signing of River Black, with the band currently recording at New Jersey’s Trax East studio alongside producer Eric Rachel for an album to see release later this year. The label comments:
"River Black is an emotional reaction; an answer to the call of today's heavy music. It is a creative process that journeys to the heart and soul; purging all the good, the bad and the ugly along the way.
"The band includes four veterans of the metal scene in its ranks; guitarist John Adubato (ex Burnt By The Sun), vocalist Mike Olender (ex Burnt By The Sun / For The Love Of... / Endeavor), bassist Brett Bamberger (Revocation, ex East Of The Wall), and Dave Witte (Municipal Waste, ex Burn By The Sun) on drums.
"River Black was formed by Adubato and Witte after the dissolution of Burn By The Sun. The duo felt the need to keep the spirit and energy behind that going, pushing it a darker and heavier direction than anything in their collective past, and enlisted long-time friend Bamberger. After working through a few different line-ups, the trio brought Olender into the fold." More...

70,000 Tons Of Metal, Day Four: "Band Vs. Nature"
I woke up at the usual 7:30am after arriving at my cabin less than three hours prior. I really thought there would be more of a hangover…but then again, it really wasn’t that long since my last drink. I usually reserve the last full day/night of the cruise (today) to be the time I lay down the camera and act more like a fan, but circumstances were such that Saturday night was the party night.
So the last full day of the cruise is met much like any other Sunday before you go back to work…the morning brings the feeling of “I still have a full day ahead of me.” By mid-morning you think “Ok…I have to find a way to slow this day down.” By noon its “I still have lunch and dinner and a bunch of shows to see.” By mid-afternoon its “well, the sun is still out.” By early evening its “Fuck…its almost over.”
I headed up to the Windjammer for some breakfast and I brought my camera so I can check out the 10am pool deck show with Twilight Force. After eating, I walked up to deck 12 and guards were blocking the pool deck from every angle. Apparently there was a banner that was blowing around that may cause harm if it detached…or so the story went. I checked back four times…even seeing many of the band members in costume and ready to go. It was not to be…Twlight Force would be cancelled and rescheduled…but this was just the beginning of the nightmare. More...
Eohum Streaming "Eurocide"
Montreal black metal band Éohum is now streaming second single "Eurocide," taken off upcoming EP "Ealdfaeder," which is set for release on March 18th.
Band founder and guitarist Jeremy Perkins comments: "'Eurocide' is the opener to our EP, a direct introduction with sounds of flutes and drum, influenced by the Celtic and Gaulic sound. Notes you would of heard in ancient Druidic ceremonies and festivals.
"It is a song I keep close to my heart and I believe it can be seen as our manifesto, speaking of the loss of tradition, culture and identity, these being side effects of any form of colonization and indoctrination of any peoples on Earth throughout the globe at any time in history. I think every culture can come together and relate globally. More...
A Breach Of Silence Finishes New Album
Australian powercore-metal pioneers A Breach Of Silence just completed tracking a third full-length album with legendary music producers Fredrik Nordstrom and Henrik Udd (Bring Me The Horizon, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Opeth).
“We approached this album differently than the last two albums Freddy and Henrik did for us” says guitarist Cossie. “They flew down here to meet up with us the day after Christmas, and over the next twenty days we tracked the album. Drums were done at Core Studios in Gold Coast, guitars were tracked on a farm in Roma, and vocals were done at Cosgrove Manor in Brisbane. Afterwards, they brought the stems back to Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden where they have been sending us various mixes of the album on a consistent basis.”
Vocalist Rhys Flannery continues, “We’re really proud of what we’ve created here. It’s different than our previous album The Darkest Road. Blair and I are doing lots of vocal harmonies, there’s a lot more stuff people can sing along with. It’s still heavy as hell, just much more diverse than our previous album. We did well on our last album, and set the bar for success pretty high, so we’ve got to top that this time around. The support and encouragement from our fans was a great source of inspiration throughout the song-writing process. In return, we knew we would have to give them something that connects with their hearts and souls, not just their ears. I think we’ve done that here – although we still have to come up with a name for it!”
The unnamed new album will contain thirteen songs, and Eclipse Records plans to release it before the end of 2016, with more info coming soon. More...
