Embalmer Streaming "The Coroners Report"

Today the American death metal cult Embalmer premieres new track "The Coroners Report" online. Listen in below. The track hails from the band's second album, "Emanations From the Crypt," which is set for international release on April 1st via Hells Headbangers.

Says vocalist Paul Gorefiend, “This record is long-overdue, and we acknowledge that. The band never was truly happy with the '13 Faces of Death' album, so we worked hard to really make sure this release was a return-to-form of sorts, and true representation of what we feel Embalmer is, and always has been. We went back to the basics and drew influence from the original 'Into the Oven' and 'There was Blood Everywhere' eras musically, peppered in some extra Terrorizer / Autopsy influences, added some crazed Deranged Rated-X-style riffing over the top, and backed it all against the blasting, non-triggered drum assault Roy has become known for.

"Matter of fact, Roy still plays the same drum-set he bought in 1988, and used for all previous recordings. Vocally, all the elements older fans expect from an Embalmer release are present, from forceful lows, the trademark eeeeeees, and tortured shrieks and highs. I am speaking as a 20-plus-year fan myself, and not a member when I tell you this is the most aggressive, blistering and punishing Embalmer release to date. Yes, the wait was long but definitely worth it, and we honestly can’t wait to get this music out to the fans and hear their feedback!”

1. Dead Female Stalker
2. I Am The Embalmer
3. Emanations From The Crypt
4. The Coroners Report
5. Undead Exaltation
6. The Casket Calls
7. Procession Of Bones
8. Botched
9. Reduced To Human Scum
10. The Apocalyptic Rains
11. They Can Smell Our Blood
12. The Graveyard Fog (Outro) More...

He goes on to say, "If you were to tell any of us a few years - or even months ago - that we would be on this tour, we would have laughed in your face. We have something cool to offer everyone coming to see the tour. Our style is melodic, technical, and simple all wrapped in one, something that seems to encompass this entire package. It's going to be a wild ride and we cannot wait to get the festivities started." More...

Svoid Releasing New Album

Svoid just checked in with this statement about gearing up to drop a new studio album this coming April:

"Brothers and sisters, it is time to announce that Svoid is set to release our second full-length album titled 'Storming Voices of Inner Devotion' on the 18.04.2016 by Sun & Moon Records. We had the pleasure to produce the album together with Dániel Somogyvári at 1G Studios. The artwork was created again by Péter Sallai (Mortpaintgraphics) and his artistic output is a profound initiation of what we have done on the record.

"It was a long ride from our roots to get here but this sinister path shines so bright. The new album consists of eleven tracks and thousand waves of Doom which reflect our aim of today with strong understanding.

"This time we also had the opportunity to dive deep within our musical abyss which has thousand forms, extending the boundaries with a response of ages that we create order from. 'Storming Voices of Inner Devotion' is an ultimate trace of us devoted to All and Nothing, so be there to expect the unexpected." More...

Darkness Divided Releasing New Album

A true product of the Texas metal scene, Darkness Divided returns after two years of touring with a self-titled sophomore album, set for release on April 22nd, 2016.

Alongside fellow Texans and label-mates Shattered Sun, the “Texas Ragers Tour” has Darkness Divided slaying audiences with ear-shattering shards of new material, including the first video “Misery.” Check it out below.

"It's ironic that this came to be the first single on the record. It almost didn't make the cut because of how chaotic the song sounded," states guitarist Sebastian Elizondo.

Bassist Joe Mora continues, "’Misery’ was the first song written for our new record. We almost scrapped it when we wrote the rest of the album, but it turned out to be one of our favorite songs on the record because of how memorable the chorus is and how challenging it is to play."

Vocalist Gerard Mora chimes in, "We had very high hopes for the video, because 'Misery' has quickly become one of our favorites. With it being the darkest song on our new record, we wanted to bring out a darker element for a video, and the director and crew nailed the imagery. It has one of our favorite choruses, fast riffs, and is brutal, which are all things that make up Darkness Divded." More...

Acclaimed Swedish producer Jens Bogren Fascination Street Studios studios who has worked with the vikings Amon Amarth among many other great bands will put his Roman helmet and gladius by his side this time to mix this masterpiece.

The Body / Full Of Hell Posts Leonard Cohen Cover

Nestled between the harrowing originals that The Body and Full Of Hell created for their upcoming full-length collaboration "One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache," is a cover so radically reworked that even the closest listener might miss it.

"The Butcher," originally by Leonard Cohen, is shattered in to bits and pieced back together to create a jarring noisescape, mimicking the blues scale with landslides of shifting feedback, and orated in the trademark style of Chip King.

Check out The Body and Full Of Hell's cover version below. In related news, the nihilistic union will descend upon Europe together this April. The string of dates see the bands traveling across the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Spain and Portugal, including appearances at the renowned Roadburn Festival and providing support for Converge's "Blood Moon" spectacle at the Electric Brixton, London.
