Victorian Whore Dogs Announces New Album

U.K. sludge metal band Victorian Whore Dogs just finished work on a debut full-length titled "Afternoonified." Following two EP releases, this new album is set drop on April 1st, 2016 and will coincide with a U.K. tour the same week. Frontman Danny Page commented:

"'Afternoonified; is a sludge-doom cacophony of debauched madness and sexual expression. It is not so much art, but a rejection of self, a journey into the confines of our own repressive nature to come full circle and truly understand that life itself is a rose-tinted cumstain left on the sidewalk. We are exploring ourselves, within ourselves, outside ourselves, on our shelves. It's fuzzy, doomy, riffy, and angry."

He further stated about the upcoming tour: "To coincide with this musical expression, we shall be embarking on several long weekend tours throughout the United Kingdom over April, three with Morass Of Molasses, and one with our friends Greenhorn and Tides Of Sulfur. It will be a circus without the tent, a gynecological examination with no glove. This is real, heavy, filthy, sludgy, real.

Album pre-orders are up at this location and you can catch the band live on these dates: More...

Machine Head Kicking Off Solo Tour

Bay Area titans Machine Head will kick off an exclusive headline tour tomorrow in Geneva, Switzerland.

This "An Evening With Machine Head" trek spans across mainland Europe and the U.K will feature no support bands, no locals, and just 2 hours of bone-crunching metal anthems.

"We’re doing ‘An Evening With’ Machine Head. Meaning: it’ll just be us, folks,” commented guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn. “We are really excited about playing longer sets, throwing in some deep cuts, and just having it be our own world. We did this in the U.S. and eastern Europe recently and it’s done amazingly well.

"Fans seem to really love the 'Evening With…' format for a band like us who has a long-standing and diverse catalog. While the sets vary from night to night, there were a couple nights on the last run where we reached the 2 hour and 40 minute mark. It was crazy! We could have played all night, the crowd was so insane!!”

Robb Flynn also recently had some choice words for Phil Anselmo that have been dominating the Internet for days. If you haven't seen the video yet, check it out here. Catch Machine Head live on these dates: More...

Asking Alexandria Posts New Video

Asking Alexandria is perfectly poised for the biggest year of the band's career with the release of fourth full-length album, "The Black" (March 25th). Couple that with a huge North American trek with fellow countrymen Bullet For My Valentine and While She Sleeps (starting Feb 2nd) and all the pieces are set into place.

In anticipation of that tour the band is very proud to present a music video for the new disc’s title track. Check it out below.

Life is all about how quickly you get back up. In January of 2015, everything changed for Asking Alexandria when the chart-topping outfit parted ways with singer and founding member Danny Worsnop. On the outside, the future might’ve seemed uncertain—even grim—to some, but Ben Bruce [lead guitar, vocals], James Cassells [drums], Cameron Liddell [rhythm guitar], and Sam Bettley [bass] dusted themselves off, lifted their chins, and got right back up.

“We hadn’t reached our destination yet, and Danny had,” admits Bruce. “I think it was necessary. When it happened, I was devastated. I lost my best friend. We even started referring to this part of our career as ‘The Black period.’ It was the darkest time, but we weren’t going to give up. If he hadn’t left, I don’t think we would’ve been as inspired as we were. I also don’t think Asking Alexandria would still be around. Instead, we’re more excited than ever about this band.” More...

Selfmachine Re-Signs With Wormholedeath

Wormholedeath is proud to announce that Dutch modern metal act Selfmachine has re-signed with the label. The band is ready to enter RealSound Studio (Parma) to record their sophomore album and follow up to the 2014 debut "Broadcast Your Identity."

The band commented: "We are proud to announce that Selfmachine has re-signed with Wormholedeath Records to release our sophomore album. Two years ago, when we signed to Wormholedeath to distribute our first album, all we expected them to do was get our record out into the world and maybe send a press release or two. However, what we got was a whole lot more.

"Over the last two years, Wormholedeath has continuously supported Selfmachine in any way they could. We could always turn to them for advice and they would give it to us honestly and directly,... even if it that advice might not have been what we wanted to hear! We have also seen Wormholedeath grow and expand their business and the passion they put into their work.
In short, the last two years have been great, so when they came to us with the offer to work together on our next album, the decision wasn’t hard to make. Over the last couple of months we have already seen their invaluable input in fine-tuning the songs for Selfmachine’s next album. We are really excited to continue and expand our cooperation with Wormholedeath and we can’t wait to get into the studio to record this album. Y’all better brace yourselves,... this one is going to be a blast!"

The All-Star Jam band, which returned this past January will also be back, led by Annihilator's Jeff Waters and members from the various acts aboard performing cover tunes live.

In addition, the ship will broadcast the upcoming Super Bowl between the Carolina Panthers v. Denver Broncos live on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
