Black Sheep Wall Streams Full Album
California's crushing sludge/doom outfit Black Sheep Wall is streaming new album "I'm Going to Kill Myself" in full online. Listen in below, courtesy of a stream hosted by Lambgoat.com.
Black Sheep Wall will release "I'm Going to Kill Myself" in North America on January 27th (January 26th worldwide). Regarding the album, guitarist Scott Turner comments:
"It's crazy how much can change in a year or two, but when you think about our history those who have been following us shouldn't be surprised. We're very excited about the release of 'I Am Going to Kill Myself,' and the debut of Brandon as our full time vocalist after doing close to 7 years of duty on bass. His voice is the voice I've been waiting to have in the band for years.
"The album was just as much a labor of love as it was an arduous and brain wracking process. Once you hear the songs you'll know what I mean. They are a test of endurance as Jackson and I purposely tried to push the limits of taste for the album which I sometimes like to think of more as a special project than a true follow up album.
"'I am Going to Kill Myself' is unique to us in that rather than sitting down for formal song writing sessions we kind of just wrote songs through conversations, and with odd symbols and notes on paper that translated to guitar, bass, and drums in the studio. As for the album art, the always amazing Jeff Rogers really came through with beyond amazing artwork that really captures not only the album, but who we are as a band. I don't think we'll ever do anything like this again so hopefully you all enjoy it, and not really want to kill yourselves after, like I wanted to while making this album." More...

Red Razor Wishes You Were Beer
Brazilian old school thrash metal band Red Razor just released a video for the song "Wish You Were Beer" on YouTube, which is the second video for upcoming record "Beer Revolution," expected out in June 2015.
Red Razor was born in Florianópolis, Brazil, a city internationally famous for it’s beaches, surf and rich tourists with their shinny cars during summertime. Tired of the local scene, over populated by reggae and soft rock bands, the boys decided to follow a more aggressive path.
Back in 2011, they picked up their patch vests from the closet, turned on their amplifiers and started to write songs influenced by thrash legends such as Exodus, Slayer, Tankard and Kreator. The record is in it's final mastering process and will be released in the summer. More...

Agnostic Front Unveils New Album
The New York hardcore pioneers from Agnostic Front today announced the details for their upcoming eleventh album, "The American Dream Died." Commented singer Roger Miret:
"We chose this title because we want to open up people's eyes to what's going on in this country. We have a lot to say. Not everyone realizes that our government and the people who run this country are so corrupt, greedy and ruthless.
"We need to educate the ones we reach. We're losing our values. We address real issues from full blown corruption and scandals to unjust police abuse and brutality. Everything's we stood for as a country is going down the drain. But we still somewhat have our freedom of speech. We're expressing it all through this record while we can." More...
Cruadalach Releases New Music Video
MetalGate Records just released the second studio album from Czech Republic folk metal band Cruadalach, titled "Rebel Against Me."
“The main goal was absolute authenticity. I am very much aware that if we played a harder folk-rock with Czech lyrics about Celtic gods, it would have some commercial potential, but, pardon the expression, fuck that,” says band vocalist Jan Vrobel in an interview for the February issue of Spark Magazine, meaning that the second Cruadalach album can surprise one with serious and contemporary themes that are utterly devoid of any genre cliché.
The “Rebel Against Me” album was ceremonially christened by Milan Trachta, veteran of the Czech hardcore punk scene and vocalist of the band Hanba, in the Prague-based Jamm Club, where the Tribe also revealed a new music video for the song "Life-Worshipping Bastards." The video is now available online and can be seen below. More...

Massive Posts "Lead Hands" Video
New York-based metalcore band Massive has released a new music video all about police brutality, titled "Lead Hands" and featuring Landon Tewers of The Plot In You.
The hardcore-influenced track was produced by Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria) and the video was directed by Sam Link (Sleeping With Sirens, Bruised But Not Broken, and Crown The Empire). Massive front man Rob Ulshafer comments:
"I think police brutality is a small part of a much larger issue. The issue being that we as a whole continue to put people in positions of power who don't have our best interests at hand. Our world is growing increasingly unstable, and it's more apparent now then it has ever been, so the idea behind the song is to incite change, only by opening minds so we can come to understand that things are not as they seem to be. We've all grown tired of the ignorance and the lies but it's only by our own hands will they ever change for the better." More...
Damnation Angels Reveals Album Release Date
After pushing the release to October of 2014 and then again to February of 2015, Damnation Angels has now announced another delay in the release of "The Valiant Fire," which is now scheduled for March 27th. The band comments:
"I'm afraid we have some bad news regarding The Valiant Fire. Due to things completely out of our control the album is now coming out March 27th. We are really sorry about this, it's not an error on our part. We are probably just as annoyed as you are as we can't wait to release it and have been promoting the February release date for a while now.
"To compensate you all for this we will now be releasing two songs prior to the release and one of those tracks will come next week!! Also as soon as we release that new song you'll be able to pre order copies of the album and get yourselves new merchandise!" More...

Argonauta Records has checked in with the following announcement about inking a deal with Obese:
"We’re excited to announce today a new band in the Argonauta Records family. Obese is crunchy, catchy, powerful and above all heavy as hell.
"Bringing the groove back into stoner and feeding your appetite with fat tunes that will leave you hungry for more. The weight and thickness of sound is being explored one track at a time: corpulency never felt that good. The immense riffage in a vast landscape of bulldozing euphony will leave nobody unsatisfied.

Revision, Revised Posts New Video
Ohio-based melodic metal band Revision, Revised has dropped a brand new music video for the "Clocksweeper" track.
The video is an eerie psychological thriller that mirrors the aggressive track, which was produced by Detroit-based metal producer Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada). Frontman Charles Wilds had this to say about the new video:
"The video is a psychological horror, mirroring the lyrics of the song. 'Clocksweeper' portrays a man who has been deceived by his own mind — but believes someone else had deceived him and wants revenge; however, everything leads back to himself in the end." More...

Dead In The Manger Releases New Video
The wrath of "Cessation," the debut full-length from sinister black/grind metal quartet Dead In The Manger, will scar humanity in less than two weeks through the Black Hand at 20 Buck Spin, and with it rapidly advancing, Decibel Magazine has unloaded the band's first official video as a harbinger of the album's severe fury. Check it out below.
Dead In The Manger, which purveys full anonymity in identity and content, similarly keeps the titles of these brazen audio attacks incredibly stripped down, with the movements on "Cessation" simply bearing the titles "I" through "VI."
Directed by David Hall of Handshake Inc. (Today Is The Day, Fuck The Facts, Maryland Deathfest The Movie), the "II" video is corrosive and epilepsy-inducing in its creator's patented style, and through an obfuscated but obviously occult driven plot for the belittling sermon, imposes more of an unsettling feeling rather than a clear cut storyline.
"This is probably the first time I've made a video for a band without talking to any of the members," offers Hall on being approached to create Dead In The Manger's "II" video. "I sort of just got an email one day from the label that asked if I'd be interested in making a video for a black/grind metal band. I listened to the track and really dug what I heard so I agreed. The only real info and guidance I was given was the name of the song, 'II', the album title, and the album's artwork. From listening to the track and taking the cover artwork as inspiration, I decided to try and create a depressing and degraded, impressionistic, moving version of the cover, and use some found footage, stuff that I shot, and mix it together to make a scratchy, black-toned void that hopefully assaults the eyes as nicely as the music assaults the ears. After a few botched attempts, I arrived at the version you see now." More...
Soilwork Unveils Live DVD Artwork
Soilwork today reveals the cover artwork for the band's first-ever live DVD/BluRay, "Live In The Heart Of Helsinki," due out March 13th, 2015. Check it out below. Commented singer Björn "Speed" Strid:
"We’re very proud to present the artwork for our upcoming live dvd/blu-ray!
"Once again we collaborated with Mircea Gabriel Eftemie to create visuals that would perfectly capture the unique vibe of this very special evening. 'In The Heart Of Helsinki' is somewhat of a testimony of our career and the live action shots are mixed with a blast from the past, including a collage of Soilwork memorabilia. I’ve always loved collages, especially on the inner sleeve of a vinyl.
"As for the cover, we wanted to capture that melancholic wintery feel that the Swedes and Finns have in common- not just emotionally but also culturally. It was appropriately cold during the big night and Mircea did a fantastic job recreating that eerie, magical feeling. Last but not least, don’t forget to read the liner notes!
"They tell the story of where we came from and where we are today. It will help you understand why it’s taken so long for us to finally get a live recording out. But hey, it’s only a matter of weeks now! We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do!" More...
Defeater Signs With Epitaph
Boston-based melodic hardcore band Defeater has signed to Epitaph with plans to release a new album in 2015. After a full year of being off the road, Defeater also announced dates for a U.S. headlining tour this Spring.
Front man Derek Archambault performed shows for two years with a cane, but now, fully recovered from a 2014 hip replacement surgery, he is ready to perform again.
“After a year away from touring and nearly two of immobility, I have never been happier to push forward with Defeater,” said Archambault. “Releasing a new album with a label I have bought records from for more than 20 years still doesn't feel real. Like many of my peers, Epitaph's 90's roster was a big part of the soundtrack to my teenage years. Signing to Epitaph and a full U.S. tour this spring has the makings of a banner year for Defeater.”
Defeater's previous albums include "Travels" (2008), "Lost Ground" (2009), "Empty Days & Sleepless Nights" (2011), and "Letters Home" (2013). All of the band's recordings tell the story of a working class family living in New Jersey during the Post-World War II era. Defeater will release a fourth concept album in 2015 on Epitaph.
“We want to thank everyone for the unbelievable continued support of us this past year and we hope we get a chance to thank you personally in 2015. Let’s do this,” said guitarist Jay Maas. More...

Theories Releasing "Regression" Album
The Seattle death grind terminators and recent Metal Blade signees from Theories will a drop the ferocious wares of their new full-length upon the masses this Spring.
Titled "Regression," the ten-track bruiser was recorded at The Red Room and The Boiler Room with producer/engineer Derek Moree (The Sword, Pelican, Minus The Bear et al), with mixing and mastering manned by Visceral Sound's Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed).
The resulting ten cuts make up one of the most belligerent releases from the Metal Blade stable in recent memory. The label describes "Regression" as "a gristly, fuck-all soundtrack to social discontent, economic uncertainty, environmental catastrophes, and the inevitable cycle of decay. Doused in gnashing, prototypical hyper speed blasts and sub-nuclear riff incursions, the band's meticulously-executed yet organically-scornful delivery is difficult to dismiss. Still, listeners will find moments of dissonant groove and clarity, as well guitar leads not often heard within the genre."
The track listing is:
01. Burnt Concrete
02. Cycle of Decay
03. Shame
04. Abortive Crescent
05. Bathing in Pigs Blood
06. First World's Last Breath
07. Swimming in Mud

Horsehunter Reveals Album Details
After streaming the track "Stoned To Death" online (still available below), Horsehunter is now ready to reveal full details of the "Caged In Flesh" album.
Canned, scrapped, rewritten, and re-recorded numerous times over an obsessive two-year period, the compositions of "Caged In Flesh" embody Horsehunter’s perverse and maniacal precision as a band. It’s an album forged in iron and cleansed by fire. Sinister, brooding and heavy enough to weight the earth in place and stop it spinning on its axis.
"Caged In Flesh" will receive an official worldwide release on April 21st via Magnetic Eye Records. The track listing is:
1. Stoned To Death (16:28)
2. Caged In Flesh (12:00)

Nader Sadek Posts New Song "Descent"
Nader Sadek is streaming the final track "Descent" from the oncoming EP "‘The Malefic: III." Explains Nader:
"I can only speak lyrically about this song. The music was composed by Rune Erikson and Flo Mounier collectively, it took about six months for me to create the phrasing and write the lyrics, I had about 4 different version of vocals, but they were not working for me.
"At its inception it was intended to be an instrumental with a few ‘spoken word’ passages and maybe some samples, but i realized later that isn’t what the song needed. One midsummer night, after a lot of hardships and loss, my grief materialized into a river of ideas, lyrics and phrasing. I wrote it all at 5am when I couldn’t sleep.
"Conceptually, this is the very last song in the third and final chapter of 'The Malefic,' the protagonists final thoughts and dwellings in remorse and regret are expressed: ‘what have I done? Where have I been… inside? I tried to save thee, and instead I pillage to condemn you.’ Even though its a fantasy based story, its actually based on real events in my life, making it extremely personal in this sense. Get over it, and move on stronger." More...
