Fvcking disgraceful...cartoon goat boy has zero business bawling on this sh!t
Guitars are also embarrassingly sh!tty
Figures these two righteous libtard fvckoffs would get together to butcher a classic
The ultimate tribute eh? nah, ultimate hack-job...the other line ups seem alright, maybe will show some class and actually pay a proper tribute to the Master and not fvcking chump it as done here?

As bad as that was and it was real bad and should be forever forgotten. WTF is with Tim "The Ripper" Owens going cover 8 of the 11 tracks?!? Is this his tribute? Did he just need 3 other singers to go on this so he could call it a tribute??? Super F-ing lame in my books. I will try to pretend this never happened

Morello and Tankian have no business covering a classic metal song together - ANY classic metal song.
Their styles are so unique (one dimensional?) that they don't lend themselves well to imitating others. Like xF said, Serj's vocals really come off as sarcastic and mocking instead of the tribute it was meant to be. Tom was also a huge offender here. If it was meant to be a performance to honor Randy, then he should have checked is sizable ego at the door resisted the urge to call attention to his style of playing. A little here and there is fine, but this was just rife with his special effects that really took away from the feel of the song. I think Morello is overrated, and this performance suggests that without his effects, he has little else to offer.
Pairing Tom and Serj with metal veterans Rudy and Vinny only added to the disconnect. Honestly, I'm disappointed in their performances as well. Rudy seemed to give a phoned in performance and never locked in with Vinny. And while Kerslake's original had both a groove and forward momentum, Vinny's plodding beat held the song back.
Vinny, can't you play anything other than 1/4 note wacks on the hi-hat? 1/8's, 1/16th's? come on, man! And quit throwing in an extended drum fill at the end of every. single. bar line!

I'VE NEVER BEEN A MORELLO FAN EITHER. HIS WORK IN AUDIOSLAVE IS TOO HIP HOPPY AND WICKY WACKED OUT FOR MY TASTE. RANDY WAS A NEOCLASSICAL 80'S SHREDDER WHO DESERVES A BETTER "TRIBUTE" THAN THIS. I'LL STICK WITH THE BEST.
