KreepMaster Calls It Quits
Budapest outfit KreepMaster has issued the following announcement online about deciding to call it quits:
"I regret to inform you, that I have decided to entirely close this musical project. I am sorry, because it started really promising, I felt I created something unique and musically better than average, but the recent lack of support, ignorance, money and time management problems are making me disappointed and preventing me from keeping promises about a new release.
"I would like to thank Bezsella János (Worros), David Henk, Kortis József, Stephen Bagdadi, Jose Soto, Matt Sarich, Aaron Caulfield, Vera Thall, Brian Earl, Roman Barbun, Matt Gabnai (Dust In Mind), Sandro from Clawerfield, Dan Cole (All Things Metal), Andrey Sazonov, the team of Got-Djent.com and Dreamwhishmaker Music for their constant support.
"Hope to see you again! You can keep following me on Soundcloud if you're interested over here."

Child Bite Announces New Tour Dates
After a short holiday slumber, Detroit's favorite road hounds from Child Bite will take to the streets again for another round of onstage pandemonium.
The live chaos will commence February 11th in Saginaw, Michigan and trample through eleven cities, with the trek coming to a close on February 21st again in the band's home state in Grand Rapids. Child Bite will be joined by Against The Grain for the first three dates before uniting with Poison Idea for the remaining dates.
Comments frontman Shawn Knight: "Us Child Bite assholes have been chomping at the bit to hit the road again. Feels weird to sit still for more than a week or so. We are tickled pink to finally be doing a few out of state shows with our Detroit bros Against The Grain! Both of our bands have been hitting it hard for a while now; I'm glad we can combine forces. We met Poison Idea when we both played Berserker Fest last year, so when they asked us to do some East Coast and Canadian dates with them we responded with a resounding, 'duh!.' These are our first shows of the New Year and we are ready to blast off with a big kaboom!" More...

Mikael Akerfeldt Comments On Lemmy, David Bowie
Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth just posted this lengthy message online about the recent deaths of David Bowie and Lemmy from Motorhead:
"At the time of hearing the news of Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister’s passing on the early morning of the 28th of December I felt a familiar feeling deep inside. That of losing someone really close. Someone who’s been present in your life for its whole duration.
"It’s a very strange feeling that you can be so attached to someone you don’t even know, and I didn’t know Lemmy at all. I’ve met him on a couple of occasions. I remember calling him 'Ian' as I’d had a few beers and wanted to come off as someone that possessed a little bit of a deeper knowledge of him than the aggressive selfie-hunters. Obviously I failed miserably and I don’t think he liked me very much, and he didn’t want to be called 'Ian' at all. He’s 'Lemmy' and that’s that.
"So on the subsequent meetings I resorted to a respectful nod and perhaps a feeble sounding 'Hi!.' I saw/shared a bill with Motörhead many times, and I’m very happy I managed to catch their final headlining show here in Stockholm on December 4th. The place was packed. At a legendary venue for metal in my hometown. Hovet. There’s a special feeling in the air. As usual it was a celebration of heavy music as well as that of Motörhead, Saxon and Girlschool who were on tour together. But I also think a lot of people at the event knew that it’s possibly the last time they’d be able to see Motörhead. At least on a headlining tour. It was quite magical I have to say. There’s a profound feeling of respect in the air throughout the evening. I can’t recall any previous show I’ve ever been to that had that same vibe, or even similar. More...

Devil To Pay Posts Lemmy Tribute Track
Devil To Pay today releases new song "Your Inner Lemmy" in tribute to the Motörhead legend who passed away last month. The track is available for free download at Bandcamp here, and Ripple Music also comments:
"On 28th December 2015, the music world lost a true legend with the passing of Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister, the long time leader of seminal heavy metal band, Motörhead. Known for his fierce independence and true originality, his spirit has influenced several generations of musicians and music lovers.
"Devil To Pay is one such band that owes a tremendous amount to Lemmy's enduring legacy. Originally inspired by the great man, the Indianapolis quartet have chosen to honour his memory with the free download of new song, ‘Your Inner Lemmy’, taken their forthcoming album A Bend Through Time and Space, due for release later this summer on Ripple Music."
Steve Janiak, singer and guitarist of Devil To Pay, explains, "We initially came up with the riffs in 2013 and they obviously sounded very Motörhead-ish. I named the track 'Your Inner Lemmy' because it felt like we were channelling the rock god. Months later we fleshed out the arrangement and wrote the lyrics; it’s a textbook lesson on everything Lemmy was about to us personally. We initially didn't intend to put it on the record, but the more we played it, the more it spoke to us and after we recorded it, we really hoped that somehow he would end up hearing the song. His unfortunate passing shocked and saddened us all." More...

Dream Death Returns With New Album
Somewhere in the darkest depths of Pittsburgh, Dream Death has risen from their self-imposed grave. After making their full-length debut in 1987 with the groundbreaking doom/death/thrash masterstroke "Journey Into Mystery" - an album that somehow bridged the groaning gaps between Celtic Frost, Slayer and Saint Vitus while going on to influence many a notable death metal and death/doom faction-the vastly underappreciated band pulled the plug in '89 and formed the more traditional doom outfit Penance.
The latter's 1992 album "The Road Less Travelled" was one of the earliest Rise Above releases, while Dream Death began what would prove to be a 22-year hibernation. In 2011, vocalist/guitarist Brian Lawrence, drummer Mike Smail (formerly of both Pentagram and Cathedral), bassist Richard Freund and guitarist Terry Weston regrouped and eventually stormed the studio for Dream Death's 2013 comeback album, "Somnium Excessum." It's a frozen frame in a huge leap to the void, as if one could endlessly cherish the joys of letting go, without having to hit the ground, ever. But this time, your daily dose of evasive drugs is going to taste a little bit more sour. Prepare yourself for 'A Year With No Summer.'"

"We spoke with the guy who just launched Candy Grenade (video production), and he mentioned he was looking to shoot his first music video. We were definitely keen on the idea and decided to work with him to shoot a video for the song 'King of Slaves,' which is the 5th track on our Unique Leader debut album, 'Trinity of Falsehood.'
"We chose this song because it wasn't previously released as a single, and also because it's one of the heavier, more groove-oriented songs and we wanted to try and showcase the slightly sludgier side of TKV. More...

Deathless Legacy Details Sophomore LP
Italy's Deathless Legacy - featuring Vision Divine keyboardist Alessio Lucatti (as Pater Blaurot) and Motus Tenebrae drummer Frater Orion - released the debut album "Rise From The Grave" in 2014. A summary of the horror and the macabre haunting their creepy minds, this talented group of young musicians was able to create a hazy, powerful and captivating sound, which they like to call "horror metal."
The band signed a new deal with Scarlet Records, and now are ready to release the second chapter in a fast-rising career, "The Gathering," another horror-infused album which creates creepy musical landscapes and atmospheres while exploring occult and esoteric themes. The Gathering was recorded at Eden Studio in Pisa, Italy and mixed & mastered at Domination Studio in San Marino by acclaimed producer Simone Mularoni (DGM). And if the band's influences are unmistakable, it is also true that their music stands out as something unique, as it’s particularly evident during the very theatrical live shows they are known for.
The track list is as follows:
1. The Gathering (intro)
2. Circus Of The Freaks
3. Phantom Manor
4. Baal
5. Wolfgirl (song streaming here)
6. Tiamat
7. The Tomb

Human Fortress Announces "Thíeves Of The Night"
This March, German epic melodic metal band Human Fortress will deliver another strong album entitled "Thieves Of The Night." Two years after the group had returned to the style of their successful first releases from the early 2000’s with "Raided Land" – introducing new vocalist Gus Monsanto (Symbolica/ex-Adagio) - Human Fortress continue right where they left off.
Songs such as the catchy title track, power metal hymns ("Rise Or Fall," "Vicious Circle") or the slightly modern - but not less epic - "Thrice Blessed" will amaze every fan of the Hannover-based band. But "Thieves Of The Night" additionally could appeal to worshippers of Virgin Steele’s 80’s/90’s classic releases, Kamelot and Avantasia.
A video clip for the album's title track is planned for release soon. The exact date of the new release will also be announced in the coming weeks.
