Prime Meridian Streaming Full Album

Famined Records artist Prime Meridian finally sees the release of a new, self-titled album today, and you can stream all the tracks below. Vocalist Shae Portner also comments:

“Our new album is about an individual who is suffering from an immense case of depression. Every night he has a dream where he finally ends it by his own hands. These dreams seem almost too real, like an out of body experience, for the individual. Although he is not afraid of death, he is most afraid of how it will affect the ones he loves.

"As he delves deeper into his own madness, he often wonders if the people he loves, in return, love him back. This causes a regressive form of hate where these thoughts almost become a new obsession. This album is a narrative of his out of body experiences, his thoughts, and his proposed thoughts of those who loved him.” More...

Tengger Cavalry Posts "Hymn Of The Earth" Video

New York City-based Mongolian folk metal group Tengger Cavalry will perform a two-hour unplugged set at the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall on December 24th, 2015. This performance is the band's first unplugged concert, portraying strong metal rhythms and riff-weaving in the midst of folk tunes.

In anticipation of the event, Tengger Cavalry invited Gear Gods to the studio to witness a unique (plugged) performance of the track "Hymn of the Earth" accented by Altan Seseg, a Mongolian dancing group formed in New York who perform the traditional dance of Buryat Mongol. This is one of the more entertaining thing you'll see all day, and it's available below.

""Hymn of the Earth" is one of the most folky pieces that Tengger Cavalry has ever composed. It incorporates Mongolian dancing music grooves with hard rock beats," states bandleader Nature Ganganbaigal. "In this video, you'll see dancing by Altan Seseg, a Mongolian dancing group formed in NYC. We really enjoy working with them. They arranged a new set of dance based on this metal song we wrote and it was really cool, conveying the culture and emotion behind the music perfectly." More...

Gomorrah Streams "Dismantling The Throne"

Kelowna, BC's leading death metal architects from Gomorrah have released new single "Dismantling The Throne" off upcoming album "The Haruspex," which is due out on Jan 15, 2016 via Test Your Metal Records. Guitarist Bowen Matheson comments on the track:

“This track started out as a back burner track, and it basically re-wrote itself in the studio. Jeff had no set vocal patterns written for it, but when he did the black metal influenced high vocals at the beginning I knew the exact direction we needed to take with it. I wrote the entire solo based entirely off of a one take improvised solo that I did for the track in pre-production. It all came together so easily and it became one of the strongest tracks on the record."

The previously posted track "Sitra Achra" taken off "The Haruspex" is still available for streaming over at this location. More...

All In Posts "Capsized" Video

Mississippi melodic hardcore outfit All In has released a new music video for "Capsized." The song comes from the band's forthcoming debut EP "Lost," set for release on February 5th.

The five track album was produced by Zac Buras of Law Studios and mixed and mastered by Erik Bickerstaffe of Paralysis Studios. Jared Daws of All In had this to say:

"I'm so glad to have finally filmed this music video. We always wanted to one and when we finally got around to this point in our career, we knew 'Capsized' would be the right choice. I wrote this song to help kids understand that they aren't alone in their day to day struggles. Whether that be internal or external, your life is worth fighting for. Fight to be happy because at the end of the day, as people, we all just want to be happy. So many people, I find, in older generations do not believe someone as young as myself can be a voice of reason but I believe differently. I wrote this song for me. I wrote this song for you. Stay strong, and never let life defeat you." More...

Enduring The Fall Parts With Bassist

Jason Duncan from Enduring The Fall has issued the following statement online about parting ways with the Canadian band:

"Five years ago, I was welcomed into Enduring The Fall as the band's new bassist. It was an exciting time for me but, it was also nerve racking for me. I was only 20 and had only been in one other band for a brief period. Yet, the guys placed their trust in my abilities and I am forever grateful for that. As a result, I rose the occasion, learned the material and helped become a driving force and mainstay in the group.

"It is with a heavy heart that, today, I announce that I will be leaving Enduring The Fall after our upcoming show at DV8 on December 19th. Though it was a very difficult decision for me to make, I feel it is the right one at this time. I feel as though it is necessary in my development as a musician. More...

Destroying The Devoid Posts Making-Of Video

Destroying The Devoid is the progressive death metal project helmed by Craig Peters (Deeds Of Flesh, ex-Arkaik) forged in 2014. The "Paramnesia" debut full-length is set for release next year via Unique Leader Records, and today a making-of clip comes online and can be seen below. Peters comments:

"Being a huge fan of orchestral music and film scores, I definitely wanted the music of Destroying The Devoid to have a deep and emotional impact. These songs are dark, aggressive and very thematic. While the music's core has a very progressive death metal sound, the songs flow in and out of many stylistic changes ranging from blackened death metal to more melancholic and ethereal passages and some very intense instrumental sections that will leave your head spinning."

New album "Paramnesia" will be mixed and mastered at Castle Ultimate Studios by Zack Ohren (Suffocation, Arkaik, Wrvth, Fallujah) and see release in 2016. Further details are to be announced in the coming months. More...
