Argonauta Records just issued the following statement about inking a new record deal with a band featuring a very distinctive name:

"We’re excited to announce a new very promising name today joined the Argonuata Records family: She Hunts Koalas, authors of a nocturnal and emotional heavy psych doom rock.

"Formed in Toulouse (France) by Julien Aoufi (Drums), François Cayla (Bass & vocals), Alex Gavalda (Guitar) and Dan Letellier (Machines/vocals), She Hunts Koalas kept on experimenting and working on a dark and melancholic universe full of shadows, in which larsens, drones, walls of guitars and powerful drums flirts with doom, sludge and ethereal voices.

"She Hunts Koalas' music is a trip from the depth to the astral. The encounter between powerful forgotten monoliths and interstellar satellites. Whispers and hallucinated screams create an alchemy both sweet and violent.|

Blind Idiot God To Play Roadburn Festival

Indivisible Music is proud to announce that Blind Idiot God has been confirmed to perform at Roadburn Festival in April 2016. Festival founder, Walter Hoeijmakers, explains:

“Over the past decade, Roadburn Festival has been about sonic diversity, whether it’s crunching heavy riffage, weird psychedelics, avant-garde or post (noise)rock, and a cult-band like Blind Idiot God has always been an huge inspiration to fulfill our quest for 'leftfield sonic pleasures that push the boundaries of music.' Blind Idiot God almost singlehandedly embodies our manifesto.

"The moment we heard the band’s first release in over 20 years, the kaleidoscopic, and equally brilliant, Before Ever After, we got extremely excited, and feverishly hoped to get them at Roadburn 2016. It was one simple statement over at The Obelisk, saying that Blind Idiot God found themselves a European bookings agency, that got us immediately on the phone to get the invitation through.

"It’s not surprising that we’re overjoyed to welcome Andy Hawkins (guitar), Tim Wyskida (Khanate, Jodis, Plotkin & Wyskida) on drums, and Will Dahl on bass (though founding member Gabe Katz plays bass on the album) at Roadburn 2016 on Sunday, April 17th, along with Neurosis (celebrating their 30th anniversary), Jakob and Amenra among others. it will be an incredible sonic mass.” More...

Melechesh Frontman Comments On Arrest

Ashmedi, frontman for Sumerian black/thrash pioneers Melechech, has recently been arrested for assault in his hometown of Jerusalem. As rumours have spread over the past two weeks, the band has decided to speak out on the situation. Ashmedi had this to say:

"While on vacation in Jerusalem, I was arrested for beating up somebody in a bar fight. After 3 days in jail and a 3,000 dollar bail plus 18,000 dollar contingent guarantee, I was placed under house arrest for the last 7 weeks and will remain under house arrest until the court sets a date for a trial. Then the judge will decide what will happen next.

"I was having a nice night out at a friend's bar. After several verbal provocations and then verbal death threats to me, I acted in what to me seemed self-defense and finished it. Normally, people know me, I often stop fights and buy people drinks to calm them down - this time shit hit the fan....

"Well, it was a stupid bar fight, which is not my style really, yet things got out of hand and the vacation turned into a nightmare. 3 days jail and now I am still under house arrest for the last 7 weeks until a yet unknown court date, the fortunate news however is that I will be given permission to do the Melechesh concert in Jerusalem, so I can go out for a few hours to rehearse with my guys and the next day naturally perform with Melechesh."

As he mentioned, Ashmedi has been granted permission to rehearse with the rest of the band for tomorrow's concert in Jerusalem, which will mark Melechesh's first show there since the summer of 1998.

Melechesh is currently supporting latest album "Enki" (reviewed here), which was released in early 2015. More...
