"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Enduring The Fall Parts With Bassist Jason Duncan

Jason Duncan from Enduring The Fall has issued the following statement online about parting ways with the Canadian band:

"Five years ago, I was welcomed into Enduring The Fall as the band's new bassist. It was an exciting time for me but, it was also nerve racking for me. I was only 20 and had only been in one other band for a brief period. Yet, the guys placed their trust in my abilities and I am forever grateful for that. As a result, I rose the occasion, learned the material and helped become a driving force and mainstay in the group.

"It is with a heavy heart that, today, I announce that I will be leaving Enduring The Fall after our upcoming show at DV8 on December 19th. Though it was a very difficult decision for me to make, I feel it is the right one at this time. I feel as though it is necessary in my development as a musician.

"At this time, I'd like to thank all the bands I've had the honour of sharing the stage with, it was a blast. I'd also like to thank everyone, past and present, who I've had the pleasure of creating music with. David Slater, Ryan Anderson, Mike McDonald, Dan Withnell, Guy Kurtz, JP Blais, Jon Kurtz and last but certainly not least, Rob Kadatz. It was Rob who brought me to the group and it was Rob who believed in me most. I want to wish all of you guys the best of luck in the future, no matter what you do.

"So, in closing, I hope to see everyone at the show next weekend to help make my last show with ETF a memorable. These guys deserve your support with or without me. One final thank you to all the people who made every show I played an experience I will never forget. Thank you all, and farewell..."
