Tengger Cavalry Posts "Hymn Of The Earth" Studio Performance Video

New York City-based Mongolian folk metal group Tengger Cavalry will perform a two-hour unplugged set at the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall on December 24th, 2015. This performance is the band's first unplugged concert, portraying strong metal rhythms and riff-weaving in the midst of folk tunes.

In anticipation of the event, Tengger Cavalry invited Gear Gods to the studio to witness a unique (plugged) performance of the track "Hymn of the Earth" accented by Altan Seseg, a Mongolian dancing group formed in New York who perform the traditional dance of Buryat Mongol. This is one of the more entertaining thing you'll see all day, and it's available below.

""Hymn of the Earth" is one of the most folky pieces that Tengger Cavalry has ever composed. It incorporates Mongolian dancing music grooves with hard rock beats," states bandleader Nature Ganganbaigal. "In this video, you'll see dancing by Altan Seseg, a Mongolian dancing group formed in NYC. We really enjoy working with them. They arranged a new set of dance based on this metal song we wrote and it was really cool, conveying the culture and emotion behind the music perfectly."
