Nonpoint Set For Headline Tour w/ 12 Stones

NONPOINT has announced plans for a U.S. headlining tour this fall. The band will be joined by 12 Stones and ANew Revolution on all shows, as well as Royal Bliss and Midnight To Twelve. Set to kick off October 15th in Atlanta, the tour will be Nonpoint's first since the departure of guitarist Andrew Goldman. Joining the band in Goldman's place for the tour will be Chicago based guitarist, Zach Broderick.

Undaunted by their hectic touring schedule, Nonpoint has already begun writing their next album, which they currently have slotted for a 2009 release.

Paint It Black And Trash Talk To Tour Europe

Paint It Black And Trash Talk are heading overseas to being thieir European tour. Here is the word directly from PIB:

"This one goes out to all our friends across the Atlantic. In two short days we'll be on a plane crossing the ocean with our friends Trash Talk, to launch a 16-day assault on the shores of Europe. We're all really fucking excited about this tour, not only because it's going to be amazing playing with Trash Talk every night, but because its the first time that either band has been to Europe since the release of our new albums on Reflections Records. Traveling far from home, seeing new things, and meeting new people is one of the most exciting privileges of being in a band. We're grateful for all the support that "New Lexicon" has received in Europe since its release in February, and we can't wait to play! We'll see you very soon in one of these cities:

Unholy Signs To Prosthetic Records

Prosthetic Records has announced the signing of Syracuse, NY’s UNHOLY to the Los Angeles-based label’s ranks. Currently writing material for the band’s second full-length record, the forthcoming effort will be the follow-up to the band’s debut, "Blood Of The Medusa," which saw a June 2007 release through Lambgoat Records.

“We're really excited to share our future with Prosthetic Records, I think we'll fit well with their roster of already great bands,” UNHOLY guitarist Jonathan Dennison says. “We've been hard at work writing new material for our upcoming record with the addition of Billy Price on vocals, slated for spring of 2009. To say the least, this record will be very innovative and hard hitting...for extreme music fans everywhere!”

Featuring members of Path of Resistance, Another Victim, Godbelow, and Santa Sangre, UNHOLY most recently added Price to its ranks and the as-yet untitled effort will be the vocalist’s recording debut with the band. Brain Drill Announces New Bassist

Santa Cruz, CA's Brain Drill is pleased to announce the addition of Ivan Munguia as the bands new bassist. Ivan has played bass for metal acts such as Carnivorous and Odious Mortem. "I'm stoked to be playing with such high caliber musicians, in a band as crushing and talented as Brain Drill. Soon, we'll be out on the road laying waste to crowds, and delivering some sick new tunes" comments Ivan. New Metallica Album Released Early In The U.K.

Metallica's new album, "Death Magnetic" has received an early release in the United Kingdom after the bands label Vertigo, told stores to release the album due to it being leaked heavily.

A spokesperson for HMV states: "We were advised yesterday by the label that because it's been leaked quite heavily, they should bring forward its physical release and allow retailers to merchandise it. That was the communication we received and we've responded to that. I'd imagine it's a similar picture across the whole of retail"

Kataklysm Begins Shooting New Video

Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono has posted the following update:

“A while back ago we made the decision to have the title track ‘Prevail‘ be the next video clip. After carefully thinking it over, we have now decided to go with our original plan and shoot the video for ‘Blood in Heaven.’ Lots of fans have been asking us to do a clip for that song so we decided, ‘why not, it’s all about the fans anyways!’ Besides, ‘Prevail‘ is already a massive live song and doesn’t need any more of a push. There are other gems on this album that we want to introduce so here it goes!

Blackened Prepares Debut Album

Blackened, the new Connecticut-based hardcore/metal band featuring current and former members of Hatebreed (bassist Chris Beattie and original drummer and founding member Dave Russo) as well as current Connecticut contenders and alum alike, including vocalist Jay Reason (The Distance) and guitarist Chris Legg (Fastbreak), has posted a demo version of the song "Let Them Drink Venom" on its MySpace page.

For their forthcoming debut, appropriately titled "This Means War," the band has joined up with Think Fast! Records, a label not only responsible for introducing bands like Have Heart and Outbreak, but also spanning a back catalog containing veterans like Sick Of It All and Ignite. Think Fast! Records co-owner Ryan O'Connor comments: "When we received the Blackened demo tracks, we immediately knew that these guys were onto something special. The amazing line-up aside, these songs are crafted in a different vein than all of their past bands, which was the most impressive point of all. We're very excited to bring the first taste of Blackened to the world."

"This Means War" is scheduled for release on January 20, 2009.

Avenged Sevenfold Cancels Rest of Current US Tour

Citing vocal strain for M. Shadows, Avenged Sevenfold has cancelled the remaining shows of their current US tour with Shadows Fall and co-headlining dates with Buckcherry. They will be begin touring again October 15 in Osko, Japan and will begin touring again in the US in November with Buckcherry and Saving Abel beginning November 4.
