Five Finger Death Punch Replaces Guitarist?
Metalsludge.tv has issued the following statement about Five Finger Death Punch apparently replacing their guitarist:
"A hot rumor floating around NAMM this weekend is that Five Finger Death Punch has fired guitarist Darrell Roberts and replaced him with Jason Hook.
Sources close to guitarist Zoltan and drummer Jeremy are confirming the same story. This makes sense as Jeremy has had an on going friendship with Hook since he played drums on Hook's solo Cds. Jason recently has been playing guitar along side Keri Kelli in the Alice Cooper Band.
Darrell Roberts played guitar for W.A.S.P. for several years during the Neon God recordings and tours. Previous to the W.A.S.P. stint he played with TUFF to his admitted regret. Roberts is the signature Metallica guitar sound on the TUFF hit "American Hair Band" which was recorded during his tenure in the band in late 2000 into 2001. Roberts also played the "James Hetfield" role in the late 90s West Coast popular Alcholica (Metallica tribute band)."

Keep It True Festival Announces Lineup Changes
The following lineup change has been announced for Germany's Keep It True Festival
"Unfortunally we have to bring you some sad news for KEEP IT TRUE 12. HITTMAN had to cancel their show in April. The cause for that is an unexpected family tragedy at one of the band members. The band had talks to play with a replacement, but did not do it because it wouldn’t have been HITTMAN. We can totally understand this and want to express all our best wishes to the band and the musician. The door for a future show will always be open at KIT.
But we haven’t been lazy and so we can already announce the first class replacement band. Dutch Metal legend PICTURE will fill the spot of HITTMAN this April and all who saw the amazing show last year at Headbangers Open Air will know, that you can expect a high energy show filled with all the hits of this great band."
Other confirmed bands for the festival include Armored Saint, Lizzy Borden, and Abattoir.

JorZine has conducted an interview with Bay Area thrash/power metal band HATRED, the winner of the United We Rock Battle *Germany* to play one of the remaining slots on the Desert Rock Festival on March 6, 2009 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Here's an excerpt from the interview:
JZ: Soon you’ll be playing Dubai, a city that you’ve never been to before, how do you expect it to be? And have you been to any of the Middle Eastern countries before? Any thoughts about this?
HATRED: None of us has ever been to the Middle East before, so we are very excited how it’s going to be there. I only know it from school, some books and from TV. But you know, you can’t always believe what you see on TV. If possible, we want to spend a few more days there to learn a bit more about the area, the people and the very old culture and also the high-tech world of Dubai City. And we’re really looking forward to play for you crazy metalheads in the middle east. We hope you’ll like our stuff and we’ll have the chance to play more shows in your part of the earth in future!
