depends, dude. Depends if we are talking about "off the rack" guitars or signature models, apart from Ibanezes which all seem to have the same flat skinny neck and fairly light and non resonating body no matter what model (my opinion. I played Ibanezes over 15years). For someone like Michael Amott it makes zero difference what brand he uses as he's got his own specs for whatever guitar he gets made for him. Basically Dean just made him a better offer than ESP, which means Dean is on a roll as they snatched Mustaine from ESP as well a few years back.
But, fair enough man. "Off the rack" Deans are far better (built) than all the BC Riches, Most LTD ESPs, Ibanezes, and the new, anemic Jacksons (thank you very much Fender Inc)

My acoustic/electric is an Ibanez V series Dreadnaught. Pretty fond of it. Very bright sound, great action on the neck. The body itself is a bit thin compared to most regular acoustics, but the sound is never flat. Not sure if that's true for most Ibanez's just saying I like mine.

Dean guitars are my primary choice for shredding. The Tyrant Bloodstorm offically makes me c** blood.
