As some of you might know, we’re in the studio right now, nailing our upcoming acoustic album 'Evocation I - the arcane dominion!' More news will follow during the next two weeks!

But before this year’s over, we’d like to come up with a couple of pretty nice news! First of all we’re happy and proud to announce our new webshop! From now on, we have our own little webshop, filled with our albums of course and as well our own exclusive merchandise! After a while diverse merch articles, snips and goodies will be added. Furthermore we’d like to announce our upcoming spring tours, of which you might have heard already. We’re looking forward and proud to raid Europe on an extended tour with the mighty thrash metal veterans Kreator - starting in late January 2009 already! Besides Mille Petrozzas “chaos horde”, also the German Caliban and Emergency Gate are joining in!

In spring we’ll be back to the USA again! Co-headlining the second edition of Paganfest USA tour - together with our friends form Korpiklaani, Primordial and Moonsorrow as well as two bands from “the new world”: Blackguard and Swashbuckle! The second Paganfest US tour will start on May 7th @ the Chicago Powerfest. So... there’s nothing else to say than: See you on the road again! And until then we wish all of you a happy and metallish new year!"

Novembers Doom Recording New Album

On Friday January 16th, Novembers Doom will enter recording studio "Belle City Sound" to begin recording their 7th full length CD, to be titled "Into Night's Requiem Infernal." Tracking duties will be handled by Chris Djuricic (Engineer and Novembers Doom bassist), and the mixing of the disc by Dan Swano at Unisound. The band comments:

"We're using the same Recording / Mixing formula we've used on 'The Pale Haunt Departure' and 'The Novella Reservoir'. In our opinion, the combination of Djuricic and Swano creates the perfect sound for us, and we've received nothing but stellar reviews of sound quality from this combination in the past.

"Every band hypes their new material, and says it's the best they've done, and the hardest and the heaviest... You can judge that for yourself in time. What we can say is that this is the first time going into a recording the entire band feels confident and believes the material will please fans of the band, as well as turn many new heads in our direction. It's dark, aggressive, and melodic, and compliments the last three releases."

The cover art for the album can be viewed here.

Metallica To Tour With Guns N Roses?

According to Contactmusic.com, METALLICA would consider a rock supertour with GUNS N' ROSES - after hailing the group's comeback album "Chinese Democracy."

The "Enter Sandman" hitmakers are big fans of their rock counterparts, who they rose to fame alongside in the 1980s.

And drummer Lars Ulrich admits he would jump at the chance to tour alongside Axl Rose's legendary group. He says, "We're road dogs. We love to tour. So we'd never say no. We've learned never to say no to anything, and all four of us love 'Chinese Democracy'."

But guitarist Kirk Hammett admits he doesn't see the rockers making an offer in the near future, adding: "The real question is whether they would tour with us."

Abdullah Announces Final Show

The music section of Cleveland.com has reported that Abdullah is breaking up. Their final show will be Saturday, January 17 at The Jigsaw Saloon & Stage. An excerpt from the article follows:

After a decade together, local act Abdullah is somewhere between calling it quits and taking a long hiatus in order to allow Jeff Shirilla to concentrate on new project This is Antarctica. Abdullah -- Shirilla, Alan Seibert (guitar), Aaron Dallison (guitar), Ed Stephens (bass) and Kevin Latchaw (drums) -- has planned a farewell show this weekend. "Yeah, I didn't want to make too much hubbub about it," Shirilla said. "We're all kind of involved in different projects now, so we thought it would be a good idea to put Abdullah on hold for a while. We had a good run and it just seems like we've been in a little bit of a rut, so why not have one last bash. I'm ready to move forward with a new band. It's different in that it's a lot mellower. We're trying to revive the whole shoegazing sound from the '90s like My Bloody Valentine. It has an ambient, laidback feel but at the same time it still has pretty crushingly heavy parts. So it's a pretty unique sound and it carries over the same somber, melodic vibe of Abdullah. It's just not as rocking out."

Spiralarms Announces New Drummer And Guitarist

Spiralarms has issued the following end of year update and information about acquiring a new drummer and guitarist:

"Hello friends wanted to update everybody on whats been happening. Well, last year was a difficult one for us, with losing loved ones, a record that didn't see its release, botched business moves, I am still in shock that we were able to get past out internal bullshit and focus on the one and most important thing, MUSIC. Well here we are....with a few new band mates, some new music, and motivation to keep going. First we would like to welcome Ron Redeen to the drum throne. What a great guy and unbelievable drummer, great to have you aboard. Second, my little brother Greg Narducci has joined the rhythm guitar ranks. He always told me "One day we'll play in a band together and it's gonna be killer"! He was right all along, it is killer...welcome aboard bruiser. Third, yes Chris has moved on to take on other musical endeavors. We wish him the best always, and he will always be a brother in my book, thanks for rocking with us man! Last, we look forward to moving on with our lives musically and spiritually...If anything was gained out of all of the heartache of 2008 was to learn to forgive, and not forget why we make music in the first place...because its vital. Live Another Day~ Best, Tim/Spiralarms"
