Judgement Day Posts Rare Track For Free Download

Metal chello and violin trio Judgement Day has posted a rarity track, "Noae Kaedae" (electric version), for free download. Here's what the band had to say about the song and offer:

"This is the happiest song that Judgement Day ever wrote. If you have heard Opus 3: Acoustic then you know the acoustic version of Noae Kaedae but we also have an electric version. We originally recorded it during the Dark Opus sessions but we decided it was just a little bit too sunny (and sloppy…) to fit on that disc. It ended up on the 2005 Norcal Compilation which was put out by Agent Records and featured other bands like Tera Melos, Desa, Audrye Sessions and Overview. We still have a few copies of it lying around. We might be able to sell you one if you want but you could also just download Noae Kaedae, Electric for free here."

Led Zeppelin Is Over According To Page's Manager

Despite reports contradicting reports earlier this month, Jimmy Page's manager says that Led Zeppelin will not be touring or recording in 2009 and is, in fact, "over."

Peter Mensch, whose company Q Prime also represents Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lostprophets and Muse, had told the BBC's digital station 6Music that:

"John Paul Jones [bass] and Jimmy Page [guitar] enjoy playing with each other, Jason Bonham is a really good drummer so why not? We just need to find a singer."

However, in an interview with Music Radar this on January 7, Mensch said:

"They tried out a few singers [to replace Robert Plant], but no one worked out. That was it. The whole thing is completely over now. There are absolutely no plans for them to continue. Zero."

"Led Zeppelin are over," he added. "If you didn't see them in 2007 [at London's O2 Arena], you missed them. It's done. I can't be any clearer than that. Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it."

January 12 marked the 40th anniversary of the release of Led Zeppelin's eponymous debut album.

Sepultura Guitarist: "Max Cavalera Is Crazy"

Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser recently conducted an interview with Blistering.com. During which he gave his opinions on former Sepultura and current Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera. Some excerpts from the interview can be read below.

Q: Is there any resentment toward the new lineup in Brazil? In North America, it seems the old lineup is that all people want to concern themselves when it comes to Sepultura.

A: "Everywhere we feel very positive vibrations. (Former Sepultura frontman) Max (Cavalera - SOULFLY/CAVALERA CONSPIRACY) has played a lot more in America than us, so his point of view was spread much more in the press. I guess that’s normal, it’s propaganda. Max is crazy - he says crazy stuff in interviews, contradicts himself a lot and you can never count on what he says, so I guess people are confused. People can say or think whatever they want, but I wish we could have done without that. We are going to have the chance to go back to America. This album is really strong and the reaction has been strong as well. I’ve been doing a lot of interviews with people in the United States and it’s been very positive. People have to listen to the music with an open mind and ears and not with all the gossip and politics and bullshit. Sepultura is something that is alive. It’s not something that stopped in ’95 or ’96. We create this band everyday." More...

Thornafire Prepares To Record New Album

Ibex Moon Records has issued the following press release about Thornafire working on a new album:

"Chilean death metal warriors Thornafire are preparing to enter the studio on February 2nd to record their sophomore album for Ibex Moon Records, Vorax Deconstruction. Two years in the works, the follow up to the monumentally monolithic Exacerbated Gnostic Manifestation is sure to be another Metal of Death tour de force. The act has captured the true spirit of a Southern American death metal style that worships at the altar of the ancient ones and takes it cues from the likes Morbid Angel, Krisiun, (early) Sepultura, and Pentagram (Chile), while putting its own unique spin on the genre.

Following the release of Vorax Deconstrucción, Thornafire will embark on its first ever U.S. tour in July with the legendary Monstrosity and Missouri's Torn the Fuck Apart. The band's storied live performance is not to be missed. Says guitarist Victor Mac-Namara, "We are preparing our axes and will work to annihilate the stage each night. We are very anxious to showcase our death metal coming from the Hell of South America!"

Kult Ov Azazel Delays New Album Release Date

Florida based black metal band Kult Ov Azazel has issued the following statement:

"The release date for Destroying The Sacred has been delayed until June. We were informed from Arctic Music that the North American distributor has refused to distribute the album due to the cover art. This is the not the first time we have encountered problems likes this with our releases be it the graphic or lyrical content. We have already remedied the situation with a slip insert that will go over the cover art and the only real setback is that the original release date has been pushed back.

The good news however is we have streamed another new track on the Kult ov Azazel MySpace page. The song is Storm The Gates and is track 4 on the forthcoming album. We have also confirmed participation on a Venom tribute split with Teratism. This split vinyl release will be titled In League With Satan and released through Negativity Records with a limited run of 666 copies. We are also working on putting together a CD/DVD release to be released later in the year through Arctic Music."

Secrets Of The Moon Finishes Writing New Album

German black metal band Secrets Of The Moon has issued the following update about the recording of their new album:

"I am proud to tell you guys that the writing process on 'Privilegivm' is almost finished. the album in its amplitude is quite a maze at the moment and we are currently trying to find the way out. We are perplexed... like mr. perdurabo used to say in his famous last words.

There is one more song added to the prior posted list and its name is "sulphur pulse". we will record a cover song of a well-known band as well, so there is plenty of material to be recorded with a running time of approx. 80 minutes.

Moreover there are some festival shows to be confirmed and new websites will be launched sooner or later. So there is a lot to come.
