"We are starting to receive some chart positions for Endgame. These are the 1st to arrive....

"For Canada, we are receiving word that Endgame will be a top 20 record, which of course please me greatly ( I am hoping for a single digit chart position, just as UA was - we'll see) We have to thank all of YOU who support the cause, and get out there to purchase the record (what a concept, eh??) without your support, these chart positions simply cannot happen, so we are grateful, believe me. By weeks end, we should receive a lot more information on other chart positions throughout planet earth, so as always, keep checking in here with us to get the latest scoop, etc.
"With all this said, keep at it, people. Your help here is proof positive that spreading the word is making a difference. So many of you here on the boards are stepping up and making a big difference - When the other chart numbers come in, you will see it for yourselves. Again, a big THANK YOU!!!"

Syrach Issues European Tour Report
Norwegian doom metallers Syrach have issued the following tour recap from their European tour:
"Now we have returned home from the first part of our european tour. I have to say it was a very interesting and exhausting experience. for starters, we didn't have a complete line-up before the week before departure. this was a bit stressful, but thanx to a certain mister Cato Eikeland from the band MELLOMGASS, we had a complete touring line up, and rehearsals could begin. with Andrea ‘Berg’ coming all the way from italy to join the band right before the tour, rehearsals got quite intense...
"so it was with some skepticism we sat sails for europe, and as we came to Leipzig some of the members had been drinking heavily for the last few hours.... but when we hit the stage, I think all sceptism was blown away. we did a quite decent show, especially when thinking that we only had 4 rehearsals together.
"after Leipzig we had an overnight drive (13hrs) to Olsztyn in poland. here one of our guitar heads broke down, but luckily the guys from the awsome band MESSA, let us borrow one of theirs. THANX! In poland we even got a few guest apperances from the audience, during our encore. we had one extra guitarist and one extra bass player on stage, pretending to play on our back-up gear. also the organizer did the vocal parts, as ripper stood in the audience taking pictures of this rather unexpected event. hopefully some pictures of this will be posted later... :-)
"in Uster, switzerland, we had the honour to meet the guys from EXCRUCIATION. they opened the show for us, with a really great performance! but due to the local football team taking on real madrid in the champions league, the attendance was quite poor. but the shows were great and we had a really great time (again)! Manticora Offering Mini-CD As Free Download
Manticora has issued the following statement about offering an earl mini-CD titled "Dead End Solution" as a free download:
"A looooong time ago we decided to record a mini cd to promote ourselves and to shop the result to a record label....You've probably heard this story before, since this is the traditional way to be heard by other people than your friends and family. We've always been hiding this release since the outcome could have been better, and the fact is that it simply sold out after a lot of concerts - and there was no need for us to re-print it, since we eventually landed the record deal.
"Dead End Solution was recorded and mixed over a weekend due to the fact that we didn't have much money........anyway, you can judge the result yourselves. The story continues today and we've now released 6½ albums including this mini cd.
"Since our fans can't find Dead End Solution anywhere (other than split up as bonus tracks for our re-releases of the first 3 albums) and have been asking for it for years now, we've decided to put it on our website for FREE download. Consider this as a token of gratitude. We really appreciate the huge interest in this mini cd - an interest that has been increasing every year. THANK YOU!"
Power Quest Changes Entire Line-Up
Steve Williams of U.K. based power metallers Power Quest has issued the following announcement about completely changing the line-up of the band:
"Following on from the departures of long standing members Steve Scott (bass) and Alessio Garavello (vocals) earlier in 2009, it is with great sadness that we bring you the news that Andrea Martongelli (guitars) and Francesco Tresca (drums) have also decided to call time on their tenure in Power Quest. Andrea has recently taken on a lot more teaching work in Italy and has also got a lot of work to do with his band Arthemis and, as a result, felt he wouldn't be able to dedicate enough of his time to PQ as he would have liked and has done in the past. Francesco came to the conclusion that it would not make sense to have a drummer based in Italy when he realised that the new guys were more than likely going to be UK based. He is now teaching drums regularly in Italy as well as working with his band Hypnotheticall.
"Well, it's certainly been an eventful year! That's probably the understatement of the year as well! It was a wrench to see Steve and Alessio leaving earlier in the year but to hear from 'Doc' and 'Checco' that they were stepping down as well, it felt like being hit by a sledgehammer! However, I must point out that after working with these guys for so many years now the split is perfectly amicable. Friendships have been formed that will last a lifetime and I wish the guys all the very best for the future and I look forward to hanging out with them again in Italy very soon!
"As you can imagine, this left me behind the 8 ball somewhat. Should I carry on with PQ? Or should I lay it to rest now? Having thought the whole thing through and discussed it with friends, family, management and other business contacts I came to the conclusion that I have invested 10 years of my life into Power Quest and have been the driving force behind the band as well as the primary writer, why should I stop now? Visions Of Atlantis Prepares To Hit The Studio
Austrian metallers Visions of Atlantis have issued the following statement about recording a new album:
"Hey Guys and Girls!
"After 2 months without any message from the Band here are some News wich may interest you
"FIRST the most important thing: Our bassist Mike and his Girlfriend will become parents very soon and we all want to wish them the best with their little rocker. But that leads directly to some bad news: Mike will leave the band and will take a baby-break from music so that he can focus on his new role as father a 100%. We all understand his decison completely and so we had a last big party last weekend where we played a little gig with a handful of invited close friends to release Mike in his Baby-Break. If and when he will return to the band is completely unsure at the moment which is also clear and we (the whole Voa-Family) hope that you out there will understand Mike and also wish him the best!!!
"This will have NO AFFECT on the recording process for our forthcoming album, which leads me to the next hot news: Maxi Nil does a great job in singing in the stuff for pre-production and except some very little stuff and some last guitar details finally everything is recorded now and in November we..ll enter the studio to record our fourth album finally. Very soon we will announce the studio for our new recording and we also got a name for our fourth album, but this is still secret and just no secret within the band ;-)
"As soon as there are news and details about Studio in November and all other things concering the band and what..s going on with VoA we..ll be back with a new blog... So stay tuned, because when we..re in studio we..ll keep you informed by every possible ways (video, studio-diary, pics, etc.) directly from the band ;-) Best wishes, and as promised...2010 will be THE year for VoA as everything seems to turn out good finally!!!!!"
