Redemption Readies New Album
Progressive metal band REDEMPTION is readying their much anticipated fourth full-length release, "Snowfall On Judgment Day," which is set for a September 28th European release date (October 6th in North America) via Inside Out Music.
Formed in Los Angeles, California in 2000 by guitarist/keyboardist/songwriter Nicolas van Dyk, the band features legendary progressive metal vocalist Ray Alder of Fates Warning, as well as guitarist Bernie Versailles (Agent Steel), the rhythm section of Chris Quirarte (drums) and Sean Andrews (bass) and the keyboard talents of Greg Hosharian.
Nicolas van Dyk further comments: "We're very excited for the release of our fourth CD. We've continued to push the envelope of our unique combination of aggression and melody and the result is our heaviest and also our most melodic CD to date. There's a healthy variety in the songwriting, ranging from very heavy tracks to more ‘proggy’ songs, all of which share the melodic focus and emotional urgency that make our signature sound. We've had the opportunity to play a lot more together prior to the recording of Snowfall and I think the band is both organic sounding and tighter than ever. It's a record we're really proud of and we're glad to get it in the hands of our fans."
Throughout spring 2009 the band finalized Snowfall On Judgment Day, which was mixed by well-known producer Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Jorn Lande, Circus Maximus). The album also features James Labrie (Dream Theater) performing a duet guest vocal spot on the song “Another Day Dies.”
Redemption recently posted a new song, "Black and White World" on their MySpace player.

Mnemic Enters the Studio to Record Fourth Album
Mnemic has entered the studio to being recording their fourth studio album, entitled “Sons of the System,” for a January 2010 release via Nuclear Blast Records. The band states:
"After a minor 2 year break from touring, we have returned to the studio, to record 15 brand new tracks. Our batteries are re-charged and we are extremely excited to let you all hear the new stuff. The material it self is a mixture of grind, rock, polyrhythmics, electronics and represents the sound of a more mature Mnemic, at least in our humble opinion. Compared to the last album, the recordings will be kept completely on Danish soil. This time we are more within our own comfort zone, and will be working with the same dude that made us 2 great sounding albums in the past, which is none other than Tue Madsen, who is a really good friend and a great producer. The drums will be tracked at the Antfarm Studio, while guitars, bass and vocals will be immortalized at the bands own studio, under Tue’s supervision. At the end of the recording process, electronics, mix and mastering will then again be handled at the Antfarm Studios. During the recording process we will try to keep you all updated on the progress via sonsofthesystem.com.”
"Watch out for the 'Sons Of The System' in the making right here at this site! There will be tons of updates, pictures, videos and information directly from the band – Stay in-tune!"

Krypteria Cancels German Tour
German goth-metal band Krypteria has checked in with the following message:
"Dear Krypterians, dear friends,
"it is with great disappointment that we announce today the cancellation of our upcoming German tour dates.
"Last weekend Chris [Siemons, guitars] aggravated a herniated disc in his neck, an injury he originally suffered last winter while skiing. Part of the vertebral body is impacting the spinal cord, thus causing severe pain and palsy. Despite Chris immediately undergoing medical treatment in order to get back to 100% as quickly as possible, him being able to go on tour in October unfortunately is out of the question.
"We were so looking forward to performing for you and meeting you guys after the show; thanks to your numerous mails we know you were as pumped about this tour as the four of us. As you can probably imagine this was a huge blow to us, one that'll take some time to recover from.
All we can do right now is to sincerely apologize to you, the fans.
"That said, our team is working feverishly to get us back 'on the road' as soon as possible, hopefully as early as December so we'll get to perform for you live after all !!!
"We hope to see you there,
Ji-In, Chris, Frank & Kusch"
