Syrach Issues European Tour Road Report

Norwegian doom metallers Syrach have issued the following tour recap from their European tour:

"Now we have returned home from the first part of our european tour. I have to say it was a very interesting and exhausting experience. for starters, we didn't have a complete line-up before the week before departure. this was a bit stressful, but thanx to a certain mister Cato Eikeland from the band MELLOMGASS, we had a complete touring line up, and rehearsals could begin. with Andrea ‘Berg’ coming all the way from italy to join the band right before the tour, rehearsals got quite intense...

"so it was with some skepticism we sat sails for europe, and as we came to Leipzig some of the members had been drinking heavily for the last few hours.... but when we hit the stage, I think all sceptism was blown away. we did a quite decent show, especially when thinking that we only had 4 rehearsals together.

"after Leipzig we had an overnight drive (13hrs) to Olsztyn in poland. here one of our guitar heads broke down, but luckily the guys from the awsome band MESSA, let us borrow one of theirs. THANX! In poland we even got a few guest apperances from the audience, during our encore. we had one extra guitarist and one extra bass player on stage, pretending to play on our back-up gear. also the organizer did the vocal parts, as ripper stood in the audience taking pictures of this rather unexpected event. hopefully some pictures of this will be posted later... :-)

"in Uster, switzerland, we had the honour to meet the guys from EXCRUCIATION. they opened the show for us, with a really great performance! but due to the local football team taking on real madrid in the champions league, the attendance was quite poor. but the shows were great and we had a really great time (again)!

"Freiburg, and My Way was a new aquaintance for us. here we had a really great time, and gave a more than decent show to the attending crowd. we will honour once again our great support band ANCHON. they did a great show, and we had a great time in the beautiful city! also, I got a tattoo after the show, at silverskull tattoo. thanx a lot, thomas! hopefully we'll be back sometime!

"from freiburg, we drove to beautiful St-Etienne. here we played the Thunderbird Lounge. a great rock/metal pub. once again we had a great time, although we by now was getting a bit tired. obviously, the guys there wasn't so tired, and threw a great afterparty in our honour... as tired as we were, we got not much sleep. but we had a great time!

"after st-etienne, we had a day off, and got in the van to drive to tilburg and the incubate festival. we started off with the idea of driving all the 8 hrs and get into a hotel close to or in tilburg city. after some hours we started thinking of dividing the driving a bit, and get a hotel somewhere in the middle... since all of us was not too keen on dividing the drive, the mood in the van got quite strange as we approched tilburg, with no hotels in sight. this was solved by some beers, and all of a sudden we were in tilburg, and at a nice hotel. great planning...

"the show at the INCUBATE festival went great. as opposed to the last time we played this venue (little devil) in tilburg, nobody fell off stage, or got cut to blood, or played just crap. this time we wanted to leave the tilburgians with the impression that they should have of us! so we stayed sharp, and played well. no whisky or litres of beers before the show this time. so hopefully some of the guys there, was more impressed than in april. we did a great show, and had a very great time at the festival and the pub after the gig. our regards goes to the festival crew and the little devil crew, for giving us a great time in tilburg. we'd love to come back again!

"so after this summary, we will honour the ones that bothered to read all of this shit and thank you for your support! we hope to see you again soon and once again spreading our doom! now we will (and have to) relax for some days, before heading off to europe once again, to support the mighty PENTAGRAM and TROUBLE!"
