Earache Releasing 30th Anniversary Book

A very special release to commemorate Earache's 30th anniversary is on the way. Chronicling the development of this independent label, "Adapt or Die - 30 Shades Of Noise" tells the story of how a disparate group of amateur enthusiasts bonded over a form of music deemed too dangerous or deviant for the mainstream, and left a lasting legacy on the wider music scene.

The tale explains the evolution of the label and the music it released, with testimonies from those that were there and made it happen - label staff, band members, and music industry associates - recounting the herculean effort that took underground punk from the squats to the global media, the highs and lows along the way, and the recent reinvention and resurgence Earache has enjoyed with a more commercial brand of hard rock.

The book itself includes anecdotes and new information previously unheard until now from key staff members, as well as members of all the iconic bands from Napalm Death through to Rival Sons.

Additionally, the release contains hundreds of unseen and unreleased photos from the personal archives of those involved, and is accompanied by 4 CDs compiling over 70 tracks from the past 30 years. Pre-orders are available here. More...

Romero Kicks Off U.S. Tour

The genre-bending heavy stoner rockers from Romero are returning to the road this weekend. Romero's first tour of 2017 stretches across 9 U.S. heartland states in just under 2 weeks.

Singer / guitarist, Jeffrey Mundt comments: “We do this, essentially, because we love to…not because anyone is paying us a ton of money or as an obligation to sell a product.”

“This band is 100% self-financed,” Mundt continues, “so we can only do what we can afford to do… or what we can afford to eventually pay off. We work very hard and time is definitely an issue. By no means is Romero a group of careless, invincible 20 somethings living under the same roof. Those days are long gone. All four of us have separate lives, families, responsibilities & interests. It’s really tough for any of us to leave home, so we try to find a balance.”
