Damnations Hammer Reveals New Album Details

Building on the foundations set by their previous 2019 album, "Unseen Planets, Deadly Spheres," September 15 will see Damnation's Hammer release their much-awaited, magnum opus, "Into The Silent Nebula."

On their third album, Damnation's Hammer unleashes eight songs of relentless heavy metal, incorporating the band's trademark doom-laden groove. Once again produced by Mark Mynett, "Into The Silent Nebula" will feature guest appearances from Rotting Christ’s Sakis Tolis, Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride and Fenriz from Darkthrone.

Give ear, today, Damnation's Hammer are presenting a first single, the colossal album opener "Sutter Cane“ (feat. Aaron Stainthorpe). A video can be viewed below.

The band comments: "'Sutter Cane' is based on the film In The Mouth Of Madness. Sutter Cane is the protagonist from the film, he's a horror novel writer who goes missing before the release of his latest book, In The Mouth Of Madness. It turns out that what Cane is writing is becoming reality: He's opening a gateway to other worlds allowing an unspeakable horror to spill into our reality! That's Aaron Stainthorpe from My Dying Bride at 02:51 minutes wanting to know 'Do you read Sutter Cane?'"

Set to be released on CD digipak, Ltd. vinyl LP and digital formats on September 15 via Massacre Records, the album pre-sale is now available here. More...

W.A.S.P. Cancels Tour With Armored Saint

W.A.S.P. has announced that their planned tour of the United States this year has been cancelled, owing to back injuries frontman Blackie Lawless has sustained. Fans can receive refunds for both tickets and VIP packages from the point of purchase. A statement from the musician reads as follows:

"The extent of the trauma I endured on the 2023 European Tour was far greater than originally diagnosed and surgery will now be needed to correct the problem. In addition to the original herniated disc, as that tour continued, a 2nd disc became herniated. Upon returning home a 2nd MRI also revealed a broken vertebrae to my lower back. I've been fortunate to work with the best specialists in the U.S. and I've been in intensive rehab since we got home. It's going well but the damage was pretty extensive and all the Dr.'s agree moving the tour a few months back will be the safest thing. It's all been as the result of an injury that happened several years ago. I'm working my butt off to get ready and I'll be up riding on Elvis... bigger and badder than ever. If the Torture Never Stops, then the 40th Never Stops!"

Armored Saint frontman John Bush added: Armored Saint vocalist John Bush comments: "To say we are super bummed about the tour being canceled would be an understatement. We were all prepping hard, and I was looking forward to turning 60 years old in Wheeling, West Virginia. That being said, we understand Blackie’s physical condition and we stand behind him and hope for a speedy recovery. Thank you to all the fans who purchased tickets and VIP packages. The Concert Tickets and VIP packages can be refunded at the point of purchase. Armored Saint VIP Upgrade holders should go to www.national-acts.com for a full refund. Thank you for all your loyalty as always! I’m gonna turn a negative into a positive and let you know that this little snafu has allowed us to start writing songs for a new record. It’s sounding killer!"

Vicious Rain Shares "Blackout" Music Video

Swiss metalcore act Vicious Rain has released their crushing second single "Blackout" along with a stunning video via Arising Empire. You can check it out below.

Fronted by vocalist David Häusermann, guitarist and vocalist Mauro Gugerli, guitarist Tristan Meier, bassist Loris De Notaristefano and drummer Michael Teufelberger, the band‘s dedication to their craft and the sheer passion they exude leaves no doubt that their future is bright.

Following their debut single "The Devil & Lovers," the band continue their fruitful collaboration with acclaimed producer Manuel Renner. Renner‘s expertise and meticulous attention to detail brought out the best in the band, resulting in a powerful and immersive recording.

"While 'The Devil & Lovers' was a bittersweet and melancholic journey, our new single 'Blackout' is a fierce and unapologetically angry anthem. It‘s a raw expression of frustration and disillusionment, capturing the intense emotions that come with witnessing stagnation and toxic behavior. With blistering instrumentals and impassioned vocals, 'Blackout‘ channels our collective discontent and serves as a powerful release for both us as a band and our listeners." says guitarist and vocalist Mauro Gugerli.

"'Blackout' channels the raw frustration of witnessing someone you love remain stagnant, unable to change for the better. It‘s a poignant reflection on the hurtful reality of holding onto memories of how things used to be, while recognizing that toxic patterns can poison their own mind. This song is an emotional outcry, urging listeners to find the strength to let go and prioritize their own well-being." - David Häusermann (vocals) More...

And now, the quartet is poised to unleash its first long-player, “Streams of Rot,” on July 24 via Memento Mori. More...
