Flaw Reuniting, Announces New Album
Flaw is reuniting and has launched a crowd funding campaign at IndieGoGo here to release an upcoming album. The band comments:
"What's the best way to celebrate our comeback with all original members? By putting out a brand new FLAW studio album!
"We found from our many years of touring and communication on social media, that our fans (YOU) wanted to and loved getting unique items from us. We've seen as we've been performing across the country, that you love hearing our new material as much as the hits, and we want to keep them coming! In order to do this, we want to release our next demo as soon as possible!
"We are currently writing the new tracks that we're hoping to get on this album. We actually have quite a few (around 18 or so) that we're testing and working on while we're out on the road. From there, we're going to narrow it down, and bring in about 10-12 into the studio. We need to pay for some equipment and pay for studio time and space, as well as a van and trailer for touring. We're estimating these costs at coming in at approximately 30K. If we don't hit our goal, we will use these monies to help us get started, and work towards finding other means to find enough funding to move forward. More...
Rigor Mortis Reveals "Slaves To The Grave" Details
Twenty-Three years after the band's last record, and nineteen months after the tragic loss of guitarist Mike Scaccia, Rigor Mortis will release fourth and final studio album "Slaves to the Grave" on October 7th.
"Slaves To The Grave" features the classic original lineup (Mike Scaccia - guitar, Casey Orr - Bass, Bruce Corbitt - Vocals, and Harden Harrison on drums). Recorded less than a year before Mike's passing, the album was to going to herald the bands long overdue comeback. In February 2012, Rigor Mortis entered Ministry's 13th Planet Studios in El Paso, and recorded the 10 tracks that would become "Slaves to the Grave."
Today the track listing and cover artwork created by Michael Broom have been revealed and can bee seen below.
When no labels were willing to release the record (after all there would be no touring to support it, or a follow-up record) Rigor Mortis started a fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo and called in favors from friends to get the record mixed and mastered just right. A "making-of" DVD has also been added to the initial pressing.

Rabbits Posts New Song Online
Following the recent dissemination of news that Portland antisocialite brigade Rabbits has a bruising new album cruising towards release this Summer, today the first public audio flogging from the impending "Untoward" album takes place through Invisible Oranges.
Listen to "Pack Up Your Shit" below. The band also shit out this bit of insight on the anthem's background:
"It's a touching story about a friend who loses another friend due to that friend being more of a colossal fuck up then, uh, the first-person plural narrator, whoever that may be. We're talking about drawing a line in the fucking filth, man. The last defense against rampant advantage-taking by those dear to oneself. The coming class war between the low class and the no class..."
Rabbits will release "Untoward" on August 12th via Lamb Unlimited, the label spawned of Chris Spencer of Unsane and Alan Schneider of No More Records. The record was exhaustingly tracked live to tape at Type Foundry, Portland in one day and then mixed in two. The engineering duties on "Untoward" were tag-teamed by Jeremy Romagna (Trees, Tecumseh, Wives) and Fester (Nux Vomica, Usnea, Stoneburner), both of whom have recorded the majority of the band's previous material, the tracks mastered by Ryan Foster at Foster Mastering, and the cover artwork hand-sewn by Anne Mersereau. You can also see Rabbits live on these dates:

Nothing Comments On Cancelled Shows
Philadelphia outfit Nothing has been out on the road for a July tour that's hit a snag. The band comments:
"We have been stuck in Toledo now for three days and so far have had to cancel two shows. Our van was struck in a hit and run while parked overnight when we were sleeping Sunday morning.
We had to have it towed to a mechanic and unfortunately it has some suffered some serious damage.
"To make things worse one of the vital parts needed to get things running is on a national back order for a month, which means we're going to have to rent a van to continue this tour (on top of the cost of all the parts and labor to fix our current van). As you can imagine this is a pretty big set back considering any band of our size starts every tour in a considerable deficit, not to mention who rely on money at each show to keep things moving forward in general.
"If this was simply just a case of losing money at the end of a tour it wouldn't be an issue, playing in this band and punk bands since early teens it has almost become accustom, but as it stands now we simply can not afford to continue on.
"So at this point we are going to set up a paypal (nickymoney@gmail.com) for any donation you may be able to afford, so we can do everything in our power to make this awesome tour continue. ANYTHING will be sincerely and greatly appreciated even if it's just a repost.
"Thanks for taking your time to read this all and once again, apologies to Indianapolis and St Louis. We will be back soon." More...

Endast Parting Ways With Guitarist
Endast recently revealed a 10th anniversary tour (dates available here), and now the band has issued the following statement about parting ways with Pepe Poliquin:
"It is with a heavy heart today that we make the announcement that our 10th anniversary tour will be our last tour with long time friend and bandmate Pepe Poliquin. We wanted Pepe to have the opportunity to explain his departure in his own words:
It's with a lot of sadness that my times as a guitar player with Endast is ending soon but it's not on bad terms it's more for health and personal reasons. But you probably all know that I have arthritis and touring and sometimes playing is hard but the guys in Endast are not just my friends they are my brothers and you don't lose family it's always gonna be there for me.
And as for my future in music I don't really know what is gonna happen I love music and I will always play some but maybe more as a hobby. And for all the bands and friends that I have in canada it's time to say a goodbye but not forever cause I know I will see you all again I'm sure and you fans I'm gonna miss you a lot and thanks for the support and keep supporting the band. So I hope to see you guys on this tour and as for my brothers in Endast I wish you guys all the best and my heart will always be in Endast.
"Pepe has been a member of this band for many years and we have been through so much together. He's an integral part of our history and we could never have made it this far without him. He has sacrificed so much to help this band keep going and we will never forget that. We love our brother, we want him to be healthy and happy and wish him all the love we can possibly extend. We are super stoked that we get one last tour with Pepe. We would ask that everyone show him all the love in the world on this upcoming tour and send him off in style.
"With that being said, auditions are now open to the public. If you think you have what it takes to shred with Endast, please get at us. This is a serious band. We work hard, we tour hard, we party hard and we are ambitious as fuck. You have to be ready to be part of a family. If it sounds like something you'd dig being a part of, drop us a line on Facebook or speak to us at one of the shows on tour.
"We love you Pepe (aka Pepperoni, Peepee, Pepsi, Penis, Dr. Warmstick, Pepe Longstocking, Pepster)!!!" More...

Sunday Old School: Krisiun
As most sports fans, and even many who aren’t, are aware, today marks the final day of the FIFA World Cup, the largest international tournament in the sporting world. This year, it was held in Brazil, a country known globally for their love of and talent for football. But there’s another area the Brazilians seem to excel at, as Sunday Old School has shown in the past by highlighting such bands as Ratos de Parão and Sarcófago, and that is that Brazil has given birth to some of the most crushing metal bands of all time, as we’ll see today by taking a look at another of their excellent exports, Krisiun. The band was formed in Ijuí, Rio Grande do Sul, in 1990 by three brothers, Moyses and Max Kolesne, who handled guitar and drum duties respectively and singing bassist, Alex Camargo, who uses their mothers maiden name. They were heavily influenced by the aggressive metal of such acts as Morbid Angel and Slayer and recorded two demos before deciding that their career would stand more of a chance if they moved to Sao Paulo in 1995, where they were almost immediately spotted and signed by Dynamo Records.
The band recorded and released their debut studio album, "Black Force Domain" that same year and displayed their influences proudly with covers of "Nuclear Winter" by Sodom and the Kreator track, "Total Death." The album was well received by the death metal fans who heard it and soon afterwards, their brutal sound was to be brought to a larger audience when they signed with German record label, GUN. The group’s first release through their new label came in 1998 with the album, "Apocalyptic Revelations," which was also met with a positive response amongst the death metal community. More...
