Pittsburgh's Complete Failure is streaming the Season of Mist full-length, "The Art Gospel of Aggravated Assault," which can be heard below. Regarding the album, the band said:
"'The Art Gospel of Aggravated Assault' is the god-product for us 4 of many lost relationships, arguments, lost sleep, migraines, pain, loss of life, debt, one assault, one ruined career, countless hours of driving, writing, rewriting, rewriting, fighting and shit talk over arrangements, drug addiction and rehabilitation, and about 50 hours straight of recording over the course of two and a half years at people's houses in a few different states at pretty much any affiliate band members house that had a microphone and a laptop that could run recording software of any kind.
"Nothing I personally have ever been a part of as a human being has ever called upon so much out of me from a standpoint of living breathing resentment and frustration for being alive and trying to 'keep up' with earth around you. With every passing day to practice to show to belligerent release of sobriety between us as members of Complete Failure, it was more and more obvious that if it weren't all coming out right now then never. I don't know if the wise man ever said it but he should have. You could die tomorrow for anything, so why not kill yourself for nothing today." More...
Midnight today premieres the new track "Woman of Flame," which can be heard below courtesy of Slam Magazine.
"Woman Of Flame" comes off forthcoming album "No Mercy for Mayhem," which is due out on August 19th through Hells Headbangers. The label comments:
"Hotter than Hell in the metal/punk underworld, Midnight's debut album, Satanic Royalty, became an instant classic upon its release in 2011. Now, with anticipation at a fever pitch, the hooded demons return with the even better No Mercy for Mayhem.
"Whereas Satanic Royalty was the culmination of nearly a decade's worth of hard slogging in the underground, No Mercy for Mayhem is an intensification of everything its predecessor seemingly perfected: the hooks even more anthemic, the power more piledriving, the dirt dirtier, the sum effect being absolute Blackout.
"Really, there's no current band who are able to mainline classic heavy metal, hard-charging punk rock, and grimy rock 'n' roll quite like Midnight can, and No Mercy for Mayhem is studded-leather, 10-track proof that mainman Athenar and crew are at the top of their game and bow to no one."
The track listing is as follows:
1. Penetratal Curse
2. Evil Like A Knife (streaming here)
3. Prowling Leather
4. No Mercy For Mayhem
5. The Final Rape Of Night
7. Woman Of Flame
8. Try Suicide

10. Aggressive Crucifixion

Damnation Angels has checked in with the following update about releasing a forthcoming album:
"Mixing of The Valiant Fire is underway but due to the album being such an epic job and us wanting it to be perfect (meaning not rushing the last part of it after all the effort so far) we're pushing the release back to October.
"However trust us when we say it will be worth the wait as we are firm believers that rushing albums, ruins albums. We'll have a concrete date very soon so stay posted."
Forthcoming album "The Valiant Fire" will follow previous debut release "Bringer Of Light" (reviewed here), which dropped as a limited release in 2012 and then saw official worldwide release in early 2013.

Nearly a decade after its formation, Divider will deliver a first full-length album titled "All Barren" on September 23rd via Glory Kid Ltd. The following press release was also issued:
"All Barren is Divider's debut full-length yet the Long Island, New York band has been making records since 2006 – a Kurt Ballou-recorded debut EP and a split with Bone Dance, among others. Through many changes in personnel, the band has persisted almost ten years, touring the nation alongside other standouts of the DIY circuit like Capsule and Khann.
"The All Barren lineup consists of vocalist Chris Tzompanakis – former frontman of Skycamefalling – founder/guitarist Anthony Fusco, bassist Peter Gerontakos, and drummer Victor Mouradian.
"All Barren is the sound of a band plowing forward after years of internal and external turmoil: lineup changes, lawsuits, and, most recently, the complete destruction of frontman Tzompanakis' home in Hurricane Sandy.
"Not unlike the relentless advance of that hurricane, All Barren is a campaign of mid-paced devastation that blankets the senses and dwarfs the will. From opener 'Crow Eater' onward, this is music that barrels forth unstoppably with a life of its own, radiating power. More...

Hailing from Canada, Kafirun's "Death Worship" EP is the reflection of hate and darkness that dwells in man's heart. Out now in digital format, you can hear the tracks below or download your own copy at Bandcamp here. The following press release was also issued about the EP:
"Eternal glorification of the ever devouring darkness and death, dissolution of the soul and life!!! Spiritual death and re-creation of the self over god's image. There are no keyboards. There are no flutes. There are no abrupt digressions into other styles of music. There’s no fusion with folk or trip-hop or other non-metal. There aren’t any operatic vocals, or angelic female vocals – no sung vocals at all, in fact.
"On 'Death Worship,' atmosphere comes first, and to generate it the band seems to draw from every aesthetic resource available within their chosen discipline, rapidly shifting between mid-paced guitar churning, blasting tremolo and a few slower segments as the situation demands. Religion hating, true black metal from start to finish."
The track listing is as follows:
1. Beyond The Flesh Vessel
2. Killer Of All Man
3. Thousand Spears More...
Fractured Spine's new album "Memoirs Of A Shattered Mind" is due out August 1st via Inverse Records, and today a new track from the release can be heard below. Inverse Records also comments:
"Starting out with instrumentals and ballads, Fractured Spine’s music quickly evolved into heavier death/doom metal. However, few songs were released to the public before 2012 with one notable exception being the very limited edition demo 'Frost' in 2008. The band still draws its main influences from outside the metal genre, often from progressive rock and shoegazing.
"The line-up consists of two core members Antti (instruments, vocals) and Timo (vocals), with occasional visits from session musicians and guest vocalists. All songs are recorded and mixed at the band’s Studio Fracture, with only mastering, publishing and distribution given to professionals
outside the band. More...
German melodic death metal band Nothgard will release second full-length album "Age of Pandora" this coming September 12th, 2014. Artwork for the release was handled by Peter Sallai. Vocalist/guitarist Dom R. Crey comments:
"With 'Age Of Pandora' we've made, what we haven't reached with it's album predecessor. Aggression combined with harmony, technical parts combined with silent nuanced, more emotional, orchestral passages. Even on the lyrical level I'm very satisfied this time.
"There are no clichés at all on this new album, but true real-life topics and our very own feelings, which have a deep meaning for me and the band. Simply perfect for our fans to get eventually 'lyrical mirrored' so to say."
The forthcoming album will feature a guest spot by Equilibrium vocalist Robse on the track "Obey The King," and according to a press release "Age Of Pandora" will be "bombastic, epic, and very technical." More...

Winnipe's melodic death metal band Laika is proud to reveal to fans the artwork and track listing for new full length album "Somnia," which is due out September 30th, 2014 via Filth Regime Records.

Enjoy Somnia."
Founded in 2009 as a six-piece and named after the Soviet dog who became one of the first animals to travel to space, the band unleashed a self-released album in 2010, then hit the road, sharing the stage with the likes of All Shall Perish, Kataklysm, Necronomicon and Unleash the Archers, before temporarily backing away from the spotlight.
