Anger As Art Issues Album Recording Update
Anger As Art vocalist Steve Gaines has issued the following update about the recording process for their new album:
"Hey guys-
"I have a little time here to give you an update - This might be a little selfish, as a lot of it has to do with me... but what the hell... you love me (shhh.... stop laughing)
"ANGER AS ART - on pace to finish the Disfigure album by Labor Day weekend. Suffice to say that wherever we have a BBQ, we will be listening to it - so come have a dog, and a beer, and a listen. Completely unofficial listening party, but we have kept this under wraps long enough and want to share it with you all. More info as it gets finalized. Also, AAA is shooting photos later today for the record. Long overdue... but you will get to see our mugs in the current configuration. Watch for a posting of a song online here very soon - in the next week or so.
"ABATTOIR - Juan would kill me if I didn't mention it here, but Abattoir is filling in on a show cancellation on Saturday September 12 2009 at the Black Castle in Los Angeles. This is last minute promotion, so I apologize for using the AAA page. Go to www.moshking.com for details. If you go, I guarantee that you will be hearing the AAA album over the PA between sets.
"ME - I just found out that I will be appearing on 'Diners Drive In's and Dives' on Monday September 7 (Labor Day). We shot an episode in June, and it will air that day on the Food Network. Guy Fieri is very much like he appears on the show - a very nice person. We shot it at a place called 'Mom's Tamales' in Lincoln Heights/ Los Angeles. The place rules. Anyone who knows me knows that my life revolves around Mexican food - I have even been named an honorary Mexican by my friends/co-workers - thus given the name Esteban Hernandez (long story). Watch closely - as my shot will either be about 3 seconds long, or on the cutting room floor.
"That's all - off to shoot pix. Talk soon."

"Let The Metal Flow In The Veins Of Asagthoth...
"The pre-production recordings of the new material for the forthcoming album are moving on. So far three songs has been taped and it all feels fucking cool to finally get some new shit recorded, even though it's all roughly done on a basic 4-tracker by the band itself.
"We can now reveal that there will actually be two new NOMINON CD-releases out within the coming 6-7 months. Here's the story; As soon as possible after the hellish recordings of the fourth full-lenght album at NECROMORBUS in September the record company DEATHGASM RECORDS will unleash a 4 song MCD. This release most likely including one song of the coming full album, one exclusive song that will only be on this particular Mini-CD, one re-recorded older song and perhaps some live stuff that were recorded during the BENEDICTION tour that NOMINON did back in September last year. The whole album will then be released worldwide in early 2010 (most likely in mid February) through DEATHGASM RDS (CD) and BLOOD HARVEST RDS (LP)."

Primal Fear Issues South American Tour Diary
Germany's Primal Fear has issued the following tour diary from their South American tour:
"At the beginning of August, Primal Fear and Special Guest Sinner traveled to South America to play four shows in four countries in five days. This meant: Maximum Rock’n’Roll, amazing fans and almost zero sleep. Prepare for take off!
"Two bands, three techs, that’s a lot of people. And it has been a while that we started from Stuttgart with six guys. Among us is our latest addition, drum tech Tommy, who fits very well into the Primal Fear camp. We’re also especially happy that our long time friend Duce is making his comeback as guitar tech, now that he is usually travelling with Children Of Bodom all the time. For a massive trip like this it’s good to know you have good people with you. This of course includes our master of sound, Achim Köhler (a.k.a. ‘the guy called Coca Kohler’), and the legendary Klaus Sperling on drums with Sinner. After the easiest check-in ever we’re flying to Frankfurt and then without much further ado to Mexico City - on a 12hr flight! But: Kohler has entered the Business Class! More...
Amon Amarth Issues Tour Recap
Amon Amarth has issued the following recap of their summer festival appearances:
"Summer’s over!
"It’s been an amazing festival summer for us this year. We had shows nearly every weekend from the beginning of June till the end of August.
"We got to return to some of our favourite festivals as well as discover some new ones. Some highlights have been on home ground at Sweden Rock Festival. It’s been a real honour to see how many fans we have gotten in the last couple of years in our own backyard. We also got to play for the first time at Roskilde, a long time dream for us. Metalcamp in Slovenia has become like a summer home and the warm reception in Turkey has been overwhelming!
"One show that goes on the top list was of course the one we did at Wacken Open Air. It was the fifth time for us there, first one being 10 years ago in 1999. It’s amazing to see how much that festival has grown over the years with over 75 000 tickets sold (!!). The festival was close to hosting 100 000 people this year. Summer Breeze is another festival that we keep going back to. This year was one of the best times we’ve ever had there! The summer ended for us at Rock Area Festival, a great festival with a very nice atmosphere. It was also the last show for us in Germany for a long time. Now we’ll take a break for about a month from touring. More...

Dave Mustaine Comments On Conducting Interviews
Megadeth front man Dave Mustaine has issued the following statement about conducting interviews:
"Droogies!
"So yesterday I am doing an interview, the third in a dayfull of interviews, which I am so weary of, and their ‘certain’ questions, that it can turn the mood of an interview into complete sh*t with-in seconds.
"I mean do interviewers not know that I am onto them? That I know they are just waiting to spring an antagonistic question to get me to talk shit about someone?
"You have no idea how much it sucks to be talking to a complete stranger, baring your soul, and then the person springs the questions that he has been salivating over asking, and with-in seconds, like I said, the interviews can turn south.
"I think it is unfortunate that you, as my fans, or if you're just lurking, and even if you are here under false pretenses just to be a shit stirrer (and there are a few here), it still sucks to be reading an interview and then it sours, and you are left at the mercy of the guy telling the story in the press, because he will ultimately decide that selling his magazine (or whatever - some people don't even have a job, and they just fool our publicity department at Roadrunner and get to the band) is more important than decency, character, and literary, journalistic integrity. Troll Signs To Napalm Records
Napalm Records has issued the following announcement about signing a record deal with Norwegian black metallers Troll:
"Napalm Records proudly announces the signing of cult band Troll! The legendary Norwegian Black Metal band is behind such classics of pitch-black art like 'Drep De Kristne.' Lead by frontman Nagash, Troll create an inferno of bestial blastbeats, piercing guitar riffs and possessed vocals that seem the emerge right from the depths of hell itself. The band promises to make no compromises when it comes to the new material, hence a lesson in Black Metal will soon be unleashed! A new opus of satanic art is tentatively scheduled for winter 2009."
Nagash of Troll also commented:
"The basic foundation and inspiration for Troll besides the Devil, has always been the Underground. And what soldier doesn’t like the smell of napalm in the morning?! Our choice was obvious."
