The following update was sent regarding Ozzy Osbourne's BlizzCon 2009 appearance, confirming rumors at least for this show that Gus G (of Firewind) will be joining him:

"Ozzy will be performing at the Anaheim Convention Center as part of the closing ceremonies at BizzCon '09. However, Due to Zakk Wylde's current touring committments with Black Label Society And Mike Bordin's ongoing reunion tour with Faith No More, Ozzy will be playing with guitarist, Gus G, and drummer, Tommy Clueftos for this special performance. They will be joining current Osbourne band members, Blasko (bass) and Adam Wakeman (keyboards). Ozzy loves the challenge of working with new musicians and is enjoying the sound and energy that this band has been producing in rehearsals this week. Catch Ozzy's performance as part of DirecTV's pay-per-view airing of BlizzCon '09, which is also available as an internet stream from www.blizzcon.com."

to think that this is how zakk finds out he is officially fired is outrageous! zakk was more than willing to go along with "plan a", which was touring with ozzy this fall and finishing up a studio album for release around thanksgiving time. ozzy went along with his other plans instead.........

Makes me wonder what´s made Ozzy this cold? Has he just lost it, or maybe the full story on Zakk has not been told... yet

What's "made Ozzy so cold" is that NOTHING is his call, hasn't been for years. I'm willing to bet he doesn't even know he's on stage half the time. He's a puppet, and he always has been. Geezer wrote all the Sabbath lyrics, and he buys his solo material.

Maybe $haron just finally got tired of Zakk Mylde's drunken douchebaggery, fake-biker, redneck-from-new-jersey (??) act. He's a great guitar player, but he's cornered himself in one-trick-ponysville.

Come on JC, Its clear that Ozzy´s out of it and has been for years, but he´s praised Zakk quite a bit during the years as well referring him as a "brother" and now he´s acting like Zakk never existed.
Sure, Sharon runs the show, but no matter how out of it Ozzy is, surely he´s noticed his current guitar player is other than Zakk. And still no reaction?
I call that "Cold"

Okay, so I waited until I actually saw footage of this show to comment. Here it is in a nutshell: Ozzy - did his usual. Couldn't hit the notes. Lost his place in the song structure several times during the performance. Gus - did his best to emulate Zakk. From the pinch harmonics all the way down to his head movements and stage presence with the Les Paul. Tommy Clueftos - A complete hack. Completely lacking in ability and talent. Blasko - Probably the only thing even moderately respectable on the stage. All in all.... Complete crap. I don't expect much from the new album and would recommend anyone who plans on spending their hard earned money to see this travesty live to forgo this cheap immatation of what Ozzy used to be. It's depressing to see him reach this level after having such a succesful career. The douche of darkness has truely sunken into the abyss. RIP Ozzy Osbourne.

man, i hope tommy clufetos doesn't go with ozzy... cuz then, who will replace him as rob zombie's drummer? that's where ozzy got him from, in case u didn't know. coincidentally, blasko played bass on all 3 of r.zombie's solo albums...
