Over the next few weeks we'll tell you more about it. We're going to video tape our thoughts so you can literally watch us talk about our love of this song."
Machinery Writing New Material
Swedish metallers Machinery have issued the following update about working on new material:
"hey boys and girls!
"Had a nervous breakdown today trying to fix the soundcard on my homepc! damn computers...can really fck your mind up!
"well we are just working kinda individually on songs so far just to see what kinda stuff comes out and choose thereafter. we have already a bunch of songs made and god knows we have tons of material since the good ole days still unreleased. doubt much of that will come out though. as a musician it..s always more fun and inspiring to concentrate on the present stuff and where to go...
"and in the end it..s gonna be all about choosing direction i guess. as always with this band which has so many elements to choose from. but off course you guys know already we are suckers for diversity.
"but if i get to choose now it..s gonna be a bloody mellow record hehe. things that pop on my stereo these days all have the the thing in common its pretty calm! but don..t worry guys...johan would rather kill me than having a record without any punch you in the face stuff in it!...sensing a rumble ey?
"well le..ts just see how things develop. but as for now the material written so far has a bit more landscape feeling in it. something which i personally think we..ve never done before. well we have slow parts as in bloodline or in the passing, but not like this. if we choose to put that on the album remains to be seen though."
Ace Frehley Signs With Season Of Mist
Season of Mist recently announced a deal with legendary guitarist ACE FREHLEY, of KISS fame.

Scheduled for release on September 15th, the original KISS guitarist's fifth solo album, "Anomaly," will be released on his own Bronx Born Records, with Rocket Science (USA) and Season of Mist (Europe) providing full label service platforms.
To commemorate the event, Gibson has created their second ACE FREHLEY signature Les Paul guitar. The first, in 1997, was one of the best-selling signature models of all time.
The record includes several nods to his distinguished career throughout, from the pickup acrobatics of "Fractured Quantum", through a supercharged cover of SWEET's 1975 classic "Fox on the Run" to the unmistakable signature solo on "Outer Space" and wah-wah scourge of "Genghis Khan" (featuring backup vocals from MEAT LOAF's daughter Pearl Aday).

Dragonwind Completes Recording New Album
Buffalo, New York metal band, Dragonwind, has issued the following studio update:
"Today, we laid down guitar solos, vocals, and keyboards (courtesy of Doug White on keys). It was a very efficient day, as we finished a half an hour early. This album will be a powerfully emotional record, and the most textured Dragonwind recording to date. Pat McFeely and Scott Ketch unleashed some of the smoothest and most skillful solos ever; a testament to more than a decade of dedicated playing. Steve Gmyrek's vocal monstrosity exhibited his skill of many ranges, as well as his ability to write lyrics that span the darkest part of the human mind. All in all, this will be a deeply pleasing record for those who enjoy our sound and style. Tomorrow we will mix and master, put on the finishing touches, and put up new songs on myspace for all to enjoy."

The material turned out to be much more melodic with more complex arrangements and longer structures, while still keeping the integrity of what we did on our EP. We begin tracking drums this week at the infamous Ice House Studios."
Shadows Fall Comments On Upcoming Music Video
Shadows Fall has issued the following statement about their upcoming music video for the song "Still I Rise:"
"We are all very excited about the upcoming debut of the video for Still I Rise, the first single from our new album Retribution. About a month ago, we meet up with director Zach Merck and his film crew at the Affliction Clothing warehouse in southern California. The folks at Affliction were cool enough to have some of their MMA fighters and ring girls come down and allow us to shoot them in action in their cage while extras we had invited were all around them going insane. Even Basko got in on the action for a quick cameo. We then ran through a bunch of takes of the song with the fans up close including full circle pits around the band. It looks amazing and draws a cool parallel between the aggression of a cage fight and the fury of a metal show. Thanks to all the extras, the fighters, Affliction and Zach and company for making it such a great day.
"You can watch the 'Still I Rise' video on Myspace next Tuesday Aug 11th and on Music Choice as of Aug 17th"
Photographs of the video shoot can be found here. "Still I Rise" is off the upcoming album "Retribution," which will be released on September 15th.

It will be released soon once we have other things including a new layout and logo completed. Next, for those who are gonna ask why change the name, we are a new band now. we have a new lineup and a new more hardcore style so were starting fresh. Next. Our good friend Justin is in the process of designing a sick layout and logo. Lastly, for the few of you who are talking shit ( you 2 know who you are ) we don't care that you are but chances are you 2 are the only ones listening so don't bother spreading false rumors or trying to 'fuck our shit up'. You're wasting your breath.
"So with all of that being said keep listening/supporting and looking for more updates"
