Skinlab Issues Band Update

Skinlab has issued the following update about their recent and upcoming activities:

"Last night 's shows was killer!! Thanks to everyone that came out to make it such an awesome night!! Huge props to Andy Green for sitting in for Paul while he was away with family obligations. Andy came in with less than two weeks to learn our shit and absolutly crushed it.....not only crushed it but seemed to be a crowd favorite as we left the stage a few people stating chanting Andy,Andy...fuckin way cool junior! Kiler job brother!!......If that wasn't enough to keep the crowd going, last night also served as the first show of our new guitarist Buzzard. Buzz who is also the current bassist for our homies 36crazyfists has been a longtime friend and was actually in Skinlab during the first albums touring cycle and has always been a metal brother who we all knew would be jammin with Skinlab again.

"While originally set to replace Glenny for the Brazilian tour that got snuffed! After trying out a couple of guitarists we decidided to fly Buzzard back down to do this show and start rehearsing for our up coming tours...to say the least Buzz kranked out the whole set as if hes been in the band for years, representing Skinlab fully.......all in all great fun with some good buds......we've proved once again to ourselves that we work best under pressure, we're ready for anything that comes our way........bring it!!!

"Now, with the release of our new album The Scars Between Us just 17 days away we are putting the final dates together for our first tour of the U.S in nearly 3 years. It's been a long time since we've been on the road, we're all definetly excited to get back out there and seeing all our friends again. We'll be heading out on a 5 week run with our bro's Mower and labelmates Flateline on the SONS OF A SIKWORLD tour Sept/Oct be sure to check out the dates and help spread the word.......Skinlab is back!!"

World Of Lies Comments On Festival Cancellation

World of Lies has issued the following statement about canceling their appearance at the Field of Death festival:

"Sorry to anyone who come out to see us at the Field Of Death. Sorry to Zach, thanks for putting that on, it was a grand idea. We are truly sorry we didn’t stay and play.. The cops made our paranoid asses pack up and run.

"The fire that should not have been lit was lit… and it was all downhill from there… Fire engines, cops… the show looked doomed, not to mention if we were searched we too would have been doomed! Lol We had to bail, better to get away without dealing with the cops than to have risked it in our eyes.

"Yeah so if anyone one is reading this and doesn’t know what we are talking about.. There was as bunch of debris in the middle of a field of dry grass. Someone lit the debris on fire… everyone knew if that was lit on fire it would spread through out the field since there was nothing like rocks or anything to set up to the barrier of the fire and the grass… once it went up a guy with a garden hose came out and tried hard but there was no way it was gonna go out with out the fire department… once the fire department came, which was super fast the cops weren’t far behind.

"One cop went from the entrance, to the fire then all the way back to where the bands were playing. People had been drinking and doing drugs out all day long and there was evidence all around of this… people we still partying as the cop was assessing the situation… seemed like only a matter of time before they all came in since this was a police gold mine… think about all the under age drinking they could ticket for, how many DUI’s they might have been able to arrest people for… how many people had drugs… who knows… but I wasn’t waiting around to have the cops come in and start busting people…

"We will be posting all the pictures we took through out the day while we were there… was a great fun time… til the fire."

Sinister Announces Live Album Release Date

Metal Mind Productions has issued the following announcement about releasing a live album from Sinister:

"Sinister, one of the most underrated death metal acts ever to emerge on the 90’s metal scene. In 1988 they began their quest for metal annihilation, recording several demos and EPs which slowly paved the way for future success. Today, after releasing eight LPs, Sinister can stand proudly next to such giants as Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel and Death - their music is a sheer definition of death metal destruction. In 2006 Sinister visited Poland to play a very special concert in Warsaw. The band's outstanding performance that night was captured on film and released as their first ever DVD - ‘Prophecies Denied’. Today this material is available in an audio version.

"The concert - recorded at Stodola club in Warsaw on 24th August 2006 - quite clearly showed that, despite many line-up changes that the band had to undergo, Sinister is still in great shape and deserves its place among such death metal stars as Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Deicide, or Grave - bands with which Sinister was honored to perform in the past. The tracklist of the show featured both new and old Sinister songs, all played with just as much charisma as deliberation. A genuine marriage of chaos and logic, of seemingly unrestrained aggression and the structural subtlety that only the best death metal bands manifest - the guys from Sinister do their best not to be forgotten!

"Metal Mind Productions will release ‘Prophecies Denied’ CD on 21st September in Europe and 1st December in USA (via MVD). Digipak edition is limited to 1000 copies."

The cover artwork for "Prophecies Denied" can be found here.
