Steve Vai To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award At Romanian Festival

Steve Vai's official website has been updated with the following statement:

"Steve will visit Brasov, Romania to appear at the Cerbul De Aur (Golden Stag) Festival on Sunday, 6 September.

"Steve will accept a lifetime achievement award at the event, and will perform two songs to backing tracks. He will not be appearing with a live band.

I have really mixed emotions about Vai.
He does have one impressive career, Frank Zappa - David Lee Roth - Whitesnake and on it goes... Passion & warfare was a brilliant album but most of his playing these days is just fret wankery.
SatrianiĀ“s the real guitar hero. His solos actually have point into them

^^ I'll agree with that....but lets face it, whether his solos are brilliant compositions or not, his abilities as a guitarist are insane. Satch will always be better than Vai, but they're both amazing guitarists. I definitely think Vai deserves this recognition.
