Necrotted Posts "Imperator" Video Online

German slamming death metallers Necrotted have released a video for their new single "Imperator." The track is taken from their crushing fifth album "Imperium," due for release on 22nd September via Reaper Entertainment. You can check out the video below.

Musically the five Swabians experiment one again, combining elements of death metal with black metal, garnished with parts of the core spectrum. Lyrically, "Imperator" is the highlight of the storyline that has weaved throughout the band's last two albums. The lyrics are written in English and German, which adds spice to the dismal mood and the topic of the song - the final moral and psychological decline of the protagonist.

New album "Imperium" marks another milestone in the band’s history. Another concept album, the LP develops the elaborate storyline of its predecessor with great detail. Necrotted continue to tread experimental musical paths; their proven recipe of melodic guitar riffs, thundering blast beats and oppressive slams is combined with immersing black metal elements. Written mostly in English, the lyrics also contain passages in the German native language, which are performed with banefully deep growls and strident screams.

The band add: "We're extremely happy to announce that in September 2023 - just in time for our 15th band anniversary - our fifth studio album will see the light of day. The new long-player will bear the name 'Imperium' and will be released via our label Reaper Entertainment. Already today, we'd like to present you the cover artwork and the tracklist of the upcoming album. The artwork for 'Imperium' was once again illustrated by 3D designer Robin Schneider and perfectly visualises the evolving, elaborate storyline that builds on the acclaimed predecessor Operation: Mental Castration. It fits brilliantly with the album's dystopian, socio-political themes and dark musical atmosphere." More...

Theocracy To Release New Album In October

Last week, US progressive power metal quintet Theocracy announced their signing to Atomic Fire Records, and the new partners aren't wasting any time in revealing details of the group's highly-anticipated forthcoming studio album right away. As brilliantly showcased by its stain-glass-window-like artwork by Steven Howard, the offering has been given the name "Mosaic." The ten new hymns were recorded, produced, and mixed by Theocracy's own Matt Smith at Theocracized Studios and Full Moon Studios in Athens, GA and rounded off by skillful mastering engineers Emily Lazar and Chris Allgood at The Lodge, NY. »Mosaic« will be supplied in various formats (see below!) to their loyal followers worldwide on October 13, 2023 via Atomic Fire Records, and can be pre-ordered now.

Seven years after the release of their previous album, 2016's "Ghost Ship," Theocracy are also excited to unveil their first new song today. Clocking in around 4:30 minutes, infectiously melodic track "Return To Dust" is a more than worthy musical ambassador of the band's return. A supporting performance music video which was produced by Industrialism Films can be viewed below.

Frontman Matt Smith explains: "'Return To Dust' is a prototypical mid-tempo anthem with a classic, massive Theocracy chorus. Not really progressive or anything, but infectious with a great riff and energy. The lyrics deal with the inevitability of death, and the choice of who or what we're living for in the short time we get on this earth. The whole album runs the stylistic gamut you've come to expect from Theocracy, from the progressive to the thrashy to the pensive to the majestic. So while 'Return To Dust' doesn't represent the entire experience of 'Mosaic,' consider it a nice appetizer for the full meal. Enjoy." More...

Kataklysm Debuts "Dark Wings Of Deception" Video

For almost three decades, the US/French Canadian-based melodic death metal syndicate Kataklysm have delivered unapologetic waves of powerful sound across the entire globe. The band’s fifteenth full-length studio album, "Goliath," is now available for the masses via Nuclear Blast Records.

In celebration of the album release, Kataklysm offers fans the music video for "Dark Wings Of Deception" directed by David Brodsky for My Good Eye: Music Visuals. You can check it out below.

"Goliath" was recorded at JFD Studios in Dallas, TX and Studio City, CA as well as The Cabin in Orlando, FL by J-F Dagenais, who also produced and engineered the album. For the mixing and mastering, the band returned to Chris Clancy with assistance from Colin Richardson. The cover artwork required an image that captured the iconic battle of David versus Goliath theme that is echoed throughout the album while matching the power of the music. The band enlisted renowned Berlin based metal illustrator Eliran Kantor (Testament, Fleshgod Apocalypse) to create the artwork which who took the Kataklysm look and gave it a macabre filter that compliments the brooding sense of uneasiness that was felt during the writing and recording of the album.
