Righteous Vendetta Releases Music Video
Wyoming-based metalcore outfit Righteous Vendetta just unveiled a new music video for "Weight Of The World." The video is for the current single off the band's new album, "Cursed," which dropped back in March via Century Media.
Speaking about the concept behind both the song and the video, the members of RV comment: "'Weight Of The World' is an anthem that we feel a lot of people can relate to. No matter what your situation is, everyone has times where they do their best to keep it all together, but everything seems like it's crashing around them.
"We wanted to portray that tension visually, and Orie and the Enlighten Creative team really helped us achieve that. We all meshed and had the same goal to create the vibe that would allow the listener to feel that much more connected with the song."
Fans can also see Righteous Vendetta performing at Riff Fest in Clarkston, Michigan on September 29th alongside Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Pop Evil, Fozzy and many others. More...
Grave Pleasures Posts "Infatuation Overkill"
Finnish apocalyptic post-punk quintet Grave Pleasures is ready to unveil the first new offering of music from upcoming sophomore release, "Motherblood." Check out a music video for debut single, "Infatuation Overkill," in the player below.
"This song draws first blood, where desire reaches fever pitch," divulges vocalist Mat McNerney, "'Infatuation Overkill' is a picture of the current zeitgeist in free-fall. Our voyeurism, our all consuming ego, our absolute fixation with our own image and our descent into a commonly accepted form of mass schizophrenia. Obsession and omnipresent violent lust have become the norm as mania begins to seep into our intrinsic make-up. We attempt to portray the feeling of being pulled apart as the volcano erupts on our species and the dawn of man begins to draw to a close."
Scheduled for release on September 29 via Century Media Records, "Motherblood" features ten hook-laden tracks as well as guest vocals from David Tibet of Current 93. "Motherblood" was recorded at Orgone Studios in the U.K. with Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Ulver, Paradise Lost) which was situated on the site of an old WW2 coding bunker.

Discrepancies Premieres "Art Of War"
Think nu metal is dead? Think again! Today we're premiering a new video from St. Louis rapping metal crew Discrepencies for the track "Art Of War" - check it out below and let us know what you think.
Comprised of Garrett Weakley (Bass), Addison Bracher (Guitar/vocals), Phatbeatz (Drums), and ATG (Vocals), Discrepencies has formed an undeniably powerful persona blending together different genres for an innovative soundscape.
"Art Of War" is taken off the group's latest album "The Awakening," which can be streamed in full or picked at Bandcamp. Vocalist ATG Metcalf comments on the track:
"'Art of War' is metaphor comparing love and war. It's a story of betrayal. Being in a relationship is a war that you and your significant other fight together side by side as soldiers. Inevitably, an obstacle is thrown at you, leaving you injured. Your partner can either stick it out with you or leave you behind. In the absolute worst case, your partner joins the other side. This song is my interpretation of your soldier joining the other side."
The clip below was filmed by Matthew Goodman and produced by The Film Legends. Like what you hear in the track? Be sure to follow Discrepancies over at Facebook. More...
