Stass Issues "Warriors Land" Lyric Video

Stass is a new band created by Felix Stass, vocalist from Crematory and Rogga Johansson, guitar player from Paganizer. Today, the band issued a lyric video for the first single "Warriors Land." The song is taken from the debut album "The Darkside," which drops via Mighty Music/Target Group on September 15th.

Stass was formed after Felix and Rogga met at a Paganizer gig in 2012 in Germany. Paganizer was playing a mini tour and at a gig in Ludwigshafen near Mannheim where Felix resides, they bumped into each other.

Sharing a mutual love for metal and drinking, as well as eating, there couldn't be much question that they would enjoy each other's company. After keeping in touch and Felix guesting on a song on the second Megascavenger album, they both thought it would be cool to work on a whole album together, combining their talents in the best possible way. The idea of Stass was born.

The idea was to make an album together that showcases both the heavy and the dark and also the melodic sides to both member's main bands. Fifteen songs were written and recorded and produced by Demiurg bassist Johan Berglund, who also plays bass on the album.

On lead guitars Paganizer's Kjetil Lynghaug stepped in and excels in some awesome solowork. The album was widdled to ten of the fifteen written songs and represents a vortex of melodic dark death metal, oozing of the vibe and the voice of Crematory but merged with the heaviness of Swedish death metal.

The track listing for "The Darkside" is:

1. Warriors Land
2. Crawling From Ashes
3. The Final Disease
4. Forever Blind
5. Angel of Doom
6. All Roads Lead To Hell
7. The Burning
8. Days Of Cremation
9. The New World Order
10. The Host More...

Soul Demise Lets Out A "Desperate Cry"

The band commented: "Times are rough. Underneath the human surface, so many negative emotions are being buried. A hard shell is growing on it, seemingly unbreakable. If all this negativity explodes in a desperate cry, it will often be too late for anyone to hear it."

For the video, Soul Demise teamed up with Jörg Harms from Black Vision Films to capture the mood of the song and add strong images to it. Check it out here:

Shadowside Announces "Shades Of Humanity"

Brazilian based metal act Shadowside revealed more details about the upcoming new album today. After several international tours and achieving international notoriety with the highly praised "Inner Monster Out," in 2012, the band announces the brand new work "Shades of Humanity," marking the official debut of new bassist Magnus Rosén (ex-Hammerfall). The album will be released in Japan on July 26th via Spiritual Beast, in North America/Europe on July 28th via EMP Label Group, owned by Megadeth's bassist Dave Ellefson, and in Brazil on September 4th via Furia Music Records.

"Shades of Humanity" explores deep subjects such as depression, abortion, the Mariana dam disaster in Brazil and mankind's moral values, branching out in musical ways nobody expected while still keeping their heavy guitar riffs and catchy melodies. The album was produced and mixed by Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, Hammerfall, Evergrey, In Flames, Dream Evil) and Henrik Udd (Architects, Dimmu Borgir, Dream Evil, Arch Enemy, Bring me the Horizon) in Gothenburg, Sweden.

"Shades of Humanity" features tracks such as "Unreality," written by Magnus Rosén in partnership with guitarist Andy La Rocque (King Diamond), as well as go-for-the-throat scorchers like "Insidious Me", modern-edged crushers "Make My Fate" and "The Fall" and "Alive", track that is also going to be the album's first music video. A sample of "What If," one of the album's tracks, can be heard in the player below.

The cover artwork (shown below) was developed by designer Douglas Jen of Furia Music, and demonstrates the heavy atmosphere of the lyrics, representing the several aspects of human personality, marked by defects and unfinished drawings that symbolize the imperfection of all people.
