Today, "In The Light Of The Sabbat Moon" from Dallas-based black metal horde Tyrannosorceress has come online, offering a taste of what to expect from the band's impending "Shattering Light's Creation" debut LP.
Offers Tyrannosorceress on the new singleL "An invocation of the Tyrant Sorceress, Jeh-Az-Kali, Lilitu-Jahi, the femine aspect of all creation and destruction. They are one in the same and cannot exist without each other, infinitely cyclical.
"In venomous congress within the sabbat dream, she opens the gateway to worlds in-between. Melding the conscious and unconscious self, to create one's own reality. By this we become deified as God, that is I. It is the blood within us that propels our path into this circle of being.
"It was gifted to us by those who descended from great heights long ago. This work is an epitaph to the knowledge bestowed upon us so long ago. For in the dark and hidden reaches, the truly ascended are of Hell. For we are all as gateways, and Lilith is the key." More...

Angelseed Releases "Dancing With The Ghosts" Video
"Dancing With The Ghosts," the brand new cinematic video from Croatian symphonic metal band Angelseed, can be seen below.
The clip was filmed in Zadar by Igor Goic and Kreathia Studio. The storyline is a slightly twisted exploration on the theme of soul cages. The fundamental idea of the storyboard is based on the five elements philosophy in Japanese Buddhism, known as godai, whose elements are Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void. Opposed to the five elements, there’s a diabolical and materialistic demon queen, the creator of earthly imprisonment.
Drummer Jurica Baljak explains: “It's a metaphorical journey into the core of personal darkness where each element is found stranded in its own prison. It represents the dichotomy of life and death through the image of acceptance, finding purpose and struggle with demons in search for redemption. This video is about the journey of mankind."
The "Dancing With The Ghosts" track comes off Angelseed's “Crimson Dyed Abyss," which was released in 2015 via Sliptrick Records. Stay tuned for info on a new album, due out in 2018. More...

God Root To Release "Salt And Rot"
Philadelphia avant-garde sludge shamans God Root will release second offering, "Salt And Rot," this coming July 11th digitally with Horror Pain Gore Death Productions and as limited, hand screen-printed compact discs available directly through the band.
"We hope this record helps people escape," bassist/vocalist Ross Bradley explains. "That's what we wrote it for and we paid a lot of attention to how it moves from track to track and what kind of journey it takes a listener on. Thematically the record deals with the frailty of human life and of ego and the dogmas we've tried to build for ourselves. It's about facing one's mortality and letting go of what you can't control, destroying those oppressive forces trying to control and manipulate you and becoming self-reliant outside of these systems."
Recorded throughout 2017 with Neil Cote and Richard Bukowski at Groundwork Sound in Somerville, NJ, God Root spared no expense to create its own brand of primitive and tribalistic sludge, resulting in the doomed cinematic soundscapes found on "Salt and Rot." More...

Today, Sawthis reveals a brand new guitar and bass playthrough video for "The Burning Place," featuring a unique twist on standard playthrough clips. The band performs amidst beautiful landscapes, surrounded by monitors - a striking juxtaposition of nature vs. machine.
Bassist Gaetano Ettorre says: "'The Burning Place' is track one from our newest album Babhell and best represents the entire album and the band's brand new soul. Musically, it is a dynamic, powerful, fast track but at the same time full of groove. It's also pretty fun to play, which is why we chose to share this new playthrough with you all." More...

The Ascended Signs With Truth Inc Records
Truth Inc Records would like to introduce and welcome Victorian melodic thrash metal band The Ascended.
Since forming in 2013, The Ascended has been touring across Australia introducing audiences to the modern style of groove laden, melodic thrash music.
In 2015, the band released the debut EP titled "Part 1" and soon after were supporting leading Australian acts such as King Parrot, Make Them Suffer, Elm Street and Dreadnaught. In 2016, the band returned to the studio and recorded the second installment to the EP, "Part 2." The Ascended is now set to once again tour across Australia in support of a single that will lead to the bands first full length album which will be released by Truth Inc Records soon.
"We are stoked to be joining the Truth inc Records roster. Their work ethic and exceptional relations with not only their bands, but the music scene in general, made the decision a no brainer. We can't wait to work with the team on our upcoming album and touring schedule, and are humbled by the opportunity to represent such a hard working label," says frontman Mat Wale.
"What really impressed me with The Ascended was the bands professionalism. We have been lucky to have worked with some very driven and capable bands, and The Ascended are to me an example of what a band should strive for. On top of that they offer strong musical hooks that I have no doubt will see the band gain an ever growing audience near and far," says label manager Greg Shaw on the new signing.
Stay tuned for more information expected soon. More...
Currents Releases "Withered" Music Video
While Connecticut based Currents is currently on tour warming up the crowds for label mates Miss May I, the band has just dropped a new video for the track “Withered” coming off of the highly anticipated debut full length album “The Place I Feel Safest,” which is available June 16th via SharpTone Records.
Vocalist Brian Willie states “Withered was one of the first songs we worked on when I joined the band, and it was a huge team effort between all of us. When I was trying to write the lyrics, I was at a point where I was feeling satisfied with the way things were going in my life; the downside to that being that I had nothing to write about. It had been such a long time since I was in a serious band that I started to doubt if I could even write lyrics or perform anymore. After spending a couple days playing the track over and over and obsessing over it, I began to draw from that feeling; essentially writing a song about writer's block. In the end, we ended up with a kickass song that we still love and I was able to shake off the dust and get to work on the rest of The Place I Feel Safest.”

Warbeast To "Enter The Arena" On New Album
Texas metal titans Warbeast will release the long-waited new full-length, "Enter The Arena," this August via Philip H. Anselmo's own Housecore Records. The album will see release on August 4th. Preorder bundles are currently available for both the CD version and the vinyl version.
Captured at Anselmo's Nodferatu's Lair, mixed by Mike Thompson at the Riff Factory and mastered by Lee Russell, "Enter The Arena" features newest Warbeast recruits, guitarist Drew Shoup and bassist Lyric Ferchaud, and stands among the band's most potent, volatile, and unrepentantly powerful offering yet.
"We recorded 'Enter The Arena' exactly a decade after we formed Warbeast," notes vocalist Bruce Corbitt. "The nucleus and founding members of this band [guitarist Scott Shelby, drummer Joey Gonzalez, and Corbitt] provided the essential veteran leadership that was vital for us to reach our goal of creating our magnum opus. The three of us also contributed our unique individual styles to guarantee that we still sound like Warbeast. But with the addition of our two newest members - guitarist Drew Shoup and bassist Lyric Ferchaud - who I call the 'Youngbloods,' it was like adding a breath-of-fresh-air to our chemistry. We definitely sound like a well-oiled-machine on this album. So get prepared for the upcoming onslaught of pure, fresh, and quintessential Texas thrash!"
"'Enter The Arena' is Warbeast at its finest in performance, writing and tone quality," adds Shelby. "I'm confident that it will please any rivethead out there! I believe it's mine and our best work to date." More...
