Dying Fetus Releases Super NSFW Video

The harrowing new Dying Fetus short film for "Die With Integrity," directed by Mitch Massie, has come online. If you've got the stomach for this very NSFW video, check it out below.

The video follows a man enacting brutal revenge on a gang of miscreants responsible for the rape and murder of his pregnant wife. He is The Wrong One To Fuck With.

Director Mitch Massie commented: "I wanted to make a revenge tale, a western, and an 80s slasher movie, so I rolled them all up into this video. I love the idea of a guy cutting off heads and attaching them to a chain as he hunts down all the people that fucked his life up only to find out that it was a scorned madame of a brothel that instigated it all."

June 23rd, 2017 will see the worldwide release of "Wrong One To Fuck With" via Relapse Records on CD/2xLP/digital formats. More...

Devin Townsend Project Posts Video

The Devin Townsend Project has been on the road for the majority of 2017 supporting latest album "Transcendence." Recently Devin was in attendance at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods ceremony in London, where he was given the "Riff Lord" award, which has been previously bestowed upon the likes of Dave Mustaine, Brian May, and Phil Campbell.

In response to being recognized and given such a high honor, Devin offered the following statement: “Hey all! Well heck, I guess I won an award for being a guitar guy...sweet! All those years of social ineptitude has manifested in an ability to play 32nd notes. Take that, dad! ...to celebrate, we are doing a 'lyric video' for a track I had been encouraged to release when the album first came out, but decided to go with another one instead.

"As it turns out, people seem to really like this song, so have at 'er! Here's a kind of rockin', kind of straightforward track from Transcendence called 'Offer Your Light', written essentially about trying to look at the positive amidst the ever increasing sea of neurosis-inducing bullshit the world keeps spewing at us. I'm in the beginning stages of writing new music now, and I hope this finds a home in your listening world for the next 4 minutes or so...best part is; there's no guitar solo!" More...

Five Finger Death Punch Issues Statement

Full news has now come online of just what was going down at the disaster of the Five Finger Death Punch Tilburg show and what's going on with the group's vocalist situation.

Five Finger Death Punch will continue the current European tour without Ivan Moody. Tommy Vext will appear in his place.

Ivan himself issued this statement: "I am embarrassed and ashamed to admit that I have fallen off the wagon again. I was on shaky ground prior to our performance in Tilburg, and although a lot of the events of that show were out of my control, the shame of not delivering pushed me over the edge. It would not be fair to my bandmates or my fans to continue to perform in my current condition. One of the worst parts of addiction is the loneliness you feel, so having the support of my band and all the knuckleheads is what drives me. I am committed to getting better so I can get back out on stage as soon as possible."

Zoltan Bathory has released a new message explaining what happened during the concert: "As you probably know by now - the show 2 days ago in Tilburg was an avalanche of clusterfucks - a crew member rolled the intro without verifying if we were all present - we were half way into the first song when we realized that - Ivan wasn't even in the building yet.

"To save the day our friend Tommy Vext of Bad Wolves ran out on stage and sung until Ivan arrived... but you can imagine Ivan's shock - the band was on stage without him - so things escalated form there - as his anger got the better of him and in the chaos - more and more crazy shit happened - mistakes such us wrong intros resulted in skipping songs - which resulted in getting handed the wrong instruments for the wrong songs.... the aftermath was even crazier - so the events that happened in the following day left us no choice but to send Ivan back to rehab so he can take care of himself and come back stronger. Eluveitie To Release "Evocation II - Pantheon"

Eight years after melodic death/folk metal masters Eluveitie released the acoustic album "Evocation I," the Swiss musicians have stored their electronic instruments again in the rehearsal room. "Evocation II - Pantheon" will be released August 18th via Nuclear Blast Records. Also musically, for even though 'Epona' is an acoustic track, the song surges ahead with verve, power and speed and dashes like a galloping horse! It is a good song to give you a first glimpse of the raw, wild, honest, very folky and thoroughly celtic character of 'Evocation II - Pantheon'!"

Unisonic To Release "Live In Wacken" CD/DVD

German metal act Unisonic - featuring former Helloween members Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske - will issue the live CD/DVD "Live In Wacken" on July 21st via earMUSIC. A clip of the song "Unisonic" can be viewed in the player below.

With the 2012 self-titled debut album, Unisonic unleashed a storm of enthusiasm. For the first time in 23 years, the two former members of Hamburg's metal institution Helloween reunited to play in the same band. More than a few metal fans might have shed a tear.

After the successful follow-up album "Light Of Dawn" in 2014, a worldwide tour followed with memorable gigs in South America, Europe and Japan until Unisonic, still at full speed, brought it's energy to the small village of Wacken where one of the biggest and most spectacular metal festivals in the world takes place every year.

On stage, the band showed class and diversity; the sound is spiked with remarkable riffs and guitar solos, thundering grooves, classic metal hymns and hooks other bands would be dying to write. And on top the anthemic vocals of Kiske, whose “out-of-this-world” voice is so extraordinary and strong, he is often mentioned in the same breath with Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford and Geoff Tate.

Like the studio albums, "Live in Wacken" was mixed and mastered by the band’s own Dennis Ward. The release will be available as a limited CD/DVD (Digipak) version. The bonus DVD includes the video recording of six songs from their spectacular performance. More...

Sliptrick Records Signs Indignity

Polish death metal band Indignity signed with Sliptrick Records for the upcoming debut album "Realm Of Dissociation," which is expected this year. Details of the album are forthcoming.

Indignity was brought to life in 2014 by guitarist Miras and drummer Tarki, with the main inspiration coming from technical brutal bands like Decapitated, Archspire, Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation. The two decided they wanted to create something fresh and new so once bassist Sesil was added on bass guitar in the same year, the band started to record what would become the three-track demo "Decrepitude." This process would help them find the last missing piece, the vocalist. In 2015, they found the right guy when Kilas joined with his impressive deep throat and a ton of attitude. After finishing "Decrepitude," the music quickly started evolving with grind and slam touches added.

Stay tuned for new information. More...

Amplified Memory Signs With Sliptrick Records

German melodic death metal act Amplified Memory signed on with Sliptrick Records for the upcoming new album "Vas Hermeticum." The album is set for release later this year, with details expected soon.

Dreams, recurring patterns, reminiscences, desires, the question about reality or simply the longing for the vast, undiscovered universe. These are the focus of Amplified Memory, which has been working on it's own musical conception of melodic death metal since 2008. While the debut album "The Ever Spinning Wheel" (2013) was almost exclusively influenced by the classic Gothenburg melodic death metal, the band expanded the style gradually by using numerous elements of progressive and black metal without giving up the original strengths: dual guitar lines, powerful growls, beautiful melodies, atmospheric keyboards and elaborate riffs.

Regardless of whether the songs are doom/black metal ballads, stomping mid-tempo beasts or fast death metal, Amplified Memory stands for an innovative mixture of different metal sub-genres with a focus on 90’s melodic death metal. More...
