Khost Streaming New Album

"Governance" from Birmingham, UK-based industrial metal duo Khost is now available through Cold Spring Records and can be heard below.. The label comments:

"Khost's 'Governance' is like driving at night with your spirituality asleep at the wheel. Continuing the band's immersion in themes of detachment and dissonance, the album was written and recorded during the Winter of 2016-17, a time of great unease and sickness for the band which nearly resulted in the death of one member.

"A hinterland of low resolution transmissions interspersed with broad concrete columns of distortion that loom suddenly from the dim landscape which devastates the listener with nearly fifty minutes of entrancing yet hazardous tectonic doom-laced revulsion." More...

Broken Hope Posts "The Meek Shall Inherit Shit"

Broken Hope just posted a new 360 degree video for latest track “The Meek Shall Inherit Shit." Explore unique perspectives of the extreme and incredible art of Wes Benscoter and experience a kaleidosphere of death metal misanthropy at every turn in this interactive video.

While much of the album pays tributes to John Carpenter’s classic "The Thing" and John W. Campbell Jr’s short story "Who Goes There," the lyrics behind “The Meek Shall Inherit Shit” were actually inspired by the true horrors observed in the real world.

Guitarist and songwriter Jeremy Wagner explains: “'The Meek Shall Inherit Shit' is a song I've been wanting to write lyrically for some time. I'm an environmentalist - a guy who considers environment, rather than heredity, as the primary influence on the development human beings. Homo sapiens are living in a shitpile.

"We constantly foul our nest, we are killing the planet, and we cause up to 2,000 extinctions every year. Look, I don't want to get all hippy and political here. I just love the natural world so much and I hate what's being done to it. It fucking pisses me off! And you can hear my anger in the lyrics and the music of this track." More...

Abhorrent Decimation Posts "Conspire" Video

UK-based extreme death metal group Abhorrent Decimation is about to drop a masterclass in dynamic, cutting edge modern death metal in the form of sophomore release, "The Pardoner," due out worldwide on July 28, 2017 via Prosthetic Records. Pre-orders are available starting today this location.

Abhorrent Decimation also just released a brand new music video for the track "Conspire" - check it out below. Vocalist Ashley Scott commented about the track and video:

"We collaborated with Scott Canty at Dark North Media for this video. Mainly, we wanted something super sleek and simplistic for the first single with a subtle, conceptual gesture built in. I didn't want an over-complicated narrative for people to have to follow and we felt Scott's style lent itself to what we had in mind. The subtle conceptual gesture is the explosions of gold near the end of the video. It's quite unique as I can't think of many/any death metal bands that have incorporated the use of gold confetti cannons on a video shoot." More...

Cradle Of Filth Reveals New Album "Cryptoriana"

UK's legendary extreme metal icons Cradle Of Filth have announced the details for the band's upcoming 12th full-length album.

"Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay" will be released on September 22nd via Nuclear Blast. You can view the stunning cover artwork by Arturs Berzinš below. Berzinš is the mastermind behind the new record’s artwork, photography and videography – best known for his defiant neo-symbolism raster graphics and oil paintings; postmodern interpretations of classic myths. He has been proclaimed as a "sacred monster of Latvian postmodernism."

The album was recorded at Grindstone Studios, Suffolk, UK by the very honorable Scott Atkins, Esq., who has been the resident go-to producer for Cradle Of Filth for several albums. Dani sat in during the mix, serving up flaming mugs of teas, making the studio couch his own and lending his ears when necessary.

Commented the infamous Dani Filth: "The album is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that. 'Cryptoriana' implies the Victorian's infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish. And the subtitle 'The Seductiveness Of Decay' further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation."

The first single off from the album will be released on July 5th, the same day that the album pre-order will become available. More...

Exit Eden Announces Debut Album

Four musicians from four different countries with four entirely different biographies, yet all stemming from the world of Rock, have united in one band: Exit Eden!

The four piece ensemble unites all attributes ascribed to the new millennium: cosmopolitan, self-confident-independent and ready to do it's very own thing! Despite the diversity, the four singers: Amanda Somerville (Avantastia/Trillium/Epica), Clémentine Delauney (Visions of Atlantis/ex-Serenity), Marina La Torraca and Anna Brunner blend together personally as superbly as they do vocally with their very diverse vocal tones and techniques that go from opera style to raspy rock! This constellation created extraordinary and powerful ideas and finally became a unique plan to raise Exit Eden's very own edge: to show the world that almost every classic song can be transformed into a solid metal-rock song.

The band's debut "Rhapsodies in Black," which will be released on August 4th via Napalm Records (worldwide excluding Germany/Switzerland/Austria via Starwatch), is home to a colorful mix of international super hits from Rihanna to Madonna, from Depeche Mode to Adele, and many more! Still and all, it's miles away from being just a cover album. A first video will present a grand entrance very soon!

The track listing for the album is: More...
