Autumns Eyes Posts Studio Update

Autumns Eyes just released a studio video updating fans on the progress of new album "Ending Life Slowly," which follows previous release "Broken Leaves and Haunted Streets," and also issued this statement:

"It’s a strange position to be in, being a solo artist with no record label breathing deadlines down your neck. On one hand it’s quite therapeutic to create music without any restraints, but to fans who await your new material, it can be a grueling process of patience. When I first started making music under the name Autumns Eyes, I was cranking out song after song, album after album, and totally hitting my stride. As the years progressed, so too did the years between new albums.

"Working under seemingly limitless conditions caused this process of creation to become more relaxed, but at what cost? Well, the older you get, the more life tends to get in the way of things you once enjoyed so freely in your youth. What used to be such a well-oiled music making machine, has progressed into a passionate project that only gets attention whenever the calamity of life mellows out just enough to let the project thrive again. So, I suppose there are in fact limitations on my easy-going therapeutic recording sessions after all.

"Despite these limitations, there is still music to be made, and Halloween is looming over the horizon. While promotion for the album is set to ramp up as the months progress towards October, I've put together a video to quench anyones thirst who’s been curious as to whats been going on behind the scenes. 'Ending Life Slowly' is scheduled for release this Halloween, and the 10 song album will be accompanied by new music videos, merchandise, and other Autumns Eyes goodies that are sure to satisfy fans both old and new." Book On History Of Metal Blade Announced

Metal Blade Records and BMG are proud to announce the upcoming release of "For the Sake of Heaviness: the History of Metal Blade Records" on August 29th. Written by label founder and CEO Brian Slagel with Mark Eglinton, the book features a foreword by Metallica's Lars Ulrich and celebrates the storied label's 35th anniversary.

Slagel comments: "I have been asked many times about doing a book about the history of Metal Blade and it just seemed like a cool thing to do to document the 35th anniversary. You never really stop to think about a lot of this stuff, so doing the book is a great way of looking back at how many awesome things have happened to me and Metal Blade.

"We have had a long relationship with BMG and with their new move in book publishing, it all seemed like perfect timing. Being able to work with their team really made the final decision to actually do the book. I am really happy with the way it came out and I hope everyone out there enjoys it as well!"

"For the Sake of Heaviness" is an inside look at how Slagel built Metal Blade from a one-man operation in his mom's non-air-conditioned garage to the preeminent international home of heavy music that it is today. Stay tuned for more details, and pre-order options, coming soon. More...

Hell In The Club Issues New Single, Video Clip

Italian hard rock act Hell In The Club - featuring Elvenking vocalist Davide Moras - released a video clip for the new single "We Are In Fire." Check it out in the player below. The song will be featured on the upcoming release "See You On The Dark Side," which will drop on September 15th via Frontiers Music srl.

Of the new album Moras commented: "The album sounds great, our best production with our most ambitious arrangements to date, but still with a rough and kickin' edge which has been our trademark since the beginning. As usual we've been melting all our inspirations and what we like in music and made a unique blend - pure 100% Hell in the Club - in these 11 tracks that contain a lot of different shades, melodies, power, heavy riffs, big choirs, sweet tunes and also a full swing/jazz orchestra this time!"

Bassist Andy Buratto had this to say about the video for “We Are On Fire”: "The videoclip of 'We Are On Fire' is dirty, sweaty and powerful. It represents the actual status of Hell in the Club! Flames, Energy and Rock'n'roll. Yes indeed...we are on fire!"

The album was once again recorded at Domination Studios under the watchful eye of Italian super producer Simone Mularoni (DGM). The track list is:

1. We Are On Fire
2. The Phantom Punch
3. Little Toy Soldier
