Darkher Unveils New Music Video

Darkher are now premiering the bitter-sweet video single "Where The Devil Waits" taken from the beloved Northern English doom act's sophomore album "The Buried Storm," which has been slated for release on April 15. The details of Darkher's second full-length can be viewed below.

The clip "Where The Devil Waits" was filmed by videographer Kathryn Pogue within the Victorian gardens and grounds of Muncaster Castle in Cumbria and it perfectly captures the equal measure of painfully raw beauty and utter sadness that mark "Where the Devil Waits."

Darkher comments: "The song 'Where the Devil Waits' relates to the shadows within and the attachments to what can become destructive", explains composer, lyricist, and visual artist Jayn Maiven. "It is about empowerment and light. This particular line 'here I bury the storm, in blinding light' served as my definite inspiration for 'The Buried Storm', the album's title." More...

Agathodaimon Shares New Lyric Video

Agathodaimon's comeback, seven years after their release of "In Darkness," is one not to miss: "The Seven," the seventh studio album of the German frontrunners, will be released on March 18, 2022 via Napalm Records. Agathodaimon's brand new ten track offering stays true to their old-school spirit hits with new vigor, one hard to pigeonhole due to its widespread musical styles, creating gloomy atmospheres with sharp growls and insane clear vocals. Prepare for an exceptional sonic universe!

Let yourself be consumed by Agathodaimon's obscure second single "Wolf Within", released today with a gloomy lyric video. The song is drenched in a sense of pain and nostalgia, and with lyrics such as ‘Taste the sin and cross the horizon, the world goes gently up in flames’, it’s impossible to overlook. An evocative guitar solo will guide to the peak of this doom-filled track and sets the listener free from its spell with one last emotional chorus.

Founder, bandleader and guitarist Sathonys on "Wolf Within":
"We wanted to show a different side of the album with this song. While the first single sounded primarily aggressive and brute, 'Wolf Within' is just as dark, but a good bit more melodic and thanks to some quiet passages and Ashtrael's clear vocals also quite memorable. Enjoy this pre-taste of the upcoming album, and be sure to check out the lyric video, as it features some of the excellent artwork created to illustrate The Seven." More...

Nazareth To Release New Album In April

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the forthcoming release of ’Surviving The Law’, the brand new studio album by legendary Scottish rock band Nazareth. Out on 15th April, fans can get their first taste of new music from the record today with the release of a single and video for the song 'Strange Days'.

It is difficult to sum up in just a few words the influence of Nazareth in the history of rock. Having celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2018 with the release of ‘Tattooed On My Brain’ (their 24th album), ‘Surviving The Law’ continues the new chapter that started for the band with that album following the arrival of vocalist Carl Sentance, while the remainder of the group line-up also remains intact: Jimmy Murrison (longest serving guitarist in their history), Lee Agnew (drummer since Darrel Sweet’s death in 1999) and Pete Agnew (bassist and founding member).

After original singer Dan McCafferty had left Nazareth for health reasons in 2013, Sentance joined two years later (with the former frontman’s blessing) and the eventual release of the hard rocking ‘Tattooed On My Brain’ showed off a rejuvenated band with all their magic ingredients still in place. As with that record, ‘Surviving The Law’ has been produced by Yann Rouiller at Sub Station in their home town of Dunfermline, Scotland. It features songwriting by all four band members and proves that, 25 albums into their career, the fire of rock ’n' roll still burns as bright as ever. More...

Extinction A.D. Releases New Lyric Video

US metal band Extinction A.D. have unveiled their politically charged new single "1992," taken from the upcoming album, "Culture Of Violence," due 18th March via Unique Leader. You can check it out below.

Vocalist / guitarist Rick Jimenez commented: "1992 - I was 12 years old in 1992 and the weight of the events that took place in America were heavy. Throughout the last decade and into this one, I've gone back and drawn parallels between what's happened in our recent history and what's happening now all while viewing things now through the eyes of an adult. This song is a pummeller both musically and thematically and will hopefully open some eyes about the problem with not learning from the past." More...
