Kult Ov Azazel Read "Destroying the Sacred"
Floridian black metallers KULT OV AZAZEL have issued the following update via their official web site:
"Pre-production for the next album is slated to begin in December. Working title for this assault will be "Destroying the Sacred". Songs to appear on the album are 'Slaughter the Prophet', 'I am the Devil', 'Conquer & Annihilate', 'Bind, Torture, Kill' and 'Sacrilege: Destroying the Sacred'. Further details will follow as the album progresses."
KULT OV AZAZEL's third album, "The World, The Flesh & The Devil", was released in June 2005 via Arctic/Crash Music Inc. The CD was recorded and engineered by Shawn Ohtani, and was mastered by Erik Rutan at Mana Studios in Tampa, Florida.
Strommoussheld Working On New Album
Polish black metallers Strommoussheld are currently working hard recording their third, as-yet-untitled album, at SH Studio in Katowice, Poland.
Frontman/guitarist Maels has issued the following update: "The recording session is going awesome. It's the first time we're working with no deadlines at all, so we concentrate only on the most important things for us making the best album as we can do nowadays. Most of orchestrations, loops, synths, samples and guitars tracks are already layered, there're only bass guitars and drums left to record. It seems we'll finish the recordings in late December and enter the Green Studio to mix the tracks in January 2007. The new songs are more into down-tempo and avant-garde. Some special quests are also confirmed, among others: 'Vliege9', 'Valdi Moder' and 'CH District'."

Poostew Prepare "Plutocracy" For Release
Poostew have issued an update on their upcoming album:
"For the highly-awaited follow-up to 2005's "Struggle" Poostew again tried out a new studio and it was the best decision they could make. At 3rd A Studio, Hamburg with Jens Ballaschke on the producing helm Germany's steamroller finally received the punishing sound it deserves. They've increased the speed again and deliver 14 high explosive deathgrind tracks! Their debut "Struggle" convulsed the extreme music scene with the stunning mixture of no-compromise grindcore, well-placed melodies and the hardcore approach but "Plutocracy" will just destroy everything on its way. Poostew continue with "Plutocracy" where Misery Index left of with "Retaliate" and developed a new form of deathgrind.
"Plutocracy" will be hitting the streets on December 27th with a brilliant artwork once again done by Szandor Kubassa (Krakwork Studios).
"The lyrical content of the album is again full of critical and indicting statements the way the album title already promises. Frontman Chris added: "We are honored to announce the release of our second full length 'Plutocracy' due Silentstagnation Records. This release has been in the works for quite a while now and we're glad to finally share our new album with all of you. We try to progress and grow on each album we record - so get ready for some of the most intense & passionate songs we've recorded yet! Plutocracy will be out in December 2006. In the meantime, please check out our winter tour dates and further information concerning 'Plutocracy' on www.poostew.de!"
You can check out their e-card and preview two songs here.

Dimmu Borgir Putting Finishing Touches On Album
DIMMU BORGIR are currently putting the finishing touches to their as-yet-untitled forthcoming album with Fredrik Nordström at Fredman Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. The album, due out early next year via Nuclear Blast, is said to be "a story based album with lyrics written accordingly". Guitarist Silenoz has issued the following studio diary entry via the band's website:
"Finally! I guess this time is as good as any to say we’re ready for mix! Although there are actually still a few bits and pieces left to do on keys, at this stage in the process we’d like to think of them as minor details. We’re all going home for a few days, to clear our heads and ears, except for Fred and Pat (Power - aka Patrik Jerksten) as they will begin to mix pretty much right away. We’ll join them again by the end of next week. We’ll then also meet up with director Patric Ullaeus and the Revolver Film Company to discuss and throw around ideas for the new video!"
Poison The Well Resumes Recording
Poison The Well have returned to Sweden to continue recording their next full-length. The group is again working with producers Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Lövström. The band has issued the following statement:
"We've made the very long trek from Miami, Florida to Umea, Sweden. Right now we're trying to fight jet lag and not really sure what time it's because it's dark all the time. Once again will be working with the Swedish duo, Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Lövström (Refused, Cult of Luna). We start moving into the studio on Monday, an old town hall/barn on the edge of town where we will being doing all the basic tracking (drums, bass, and guitar) and right after that we will be moving into Tonteknik Recording Studios to finish up with overdubs, vocals, mixing and mastering. In total we should be here for about 6 weeks. We're pretty excited to finish this record up and expecting to have a release date early next year."
