All That Remains Checks In From The Road

Fresh off an overwhelmingly successful last minute 'secret show' sponsored by
MySpace.com at Hollywood's Key Club (photos available here), ALL THAT REMAINS frontman Phil Labonte has checked in from the road of the band's current
sold-out tour alongside Killswitch Engage. The Massachusetts-based metal band is continuing to support its hugely successful new album, 'The Fall of Ideals,' which saw a July 2006 release to coincide with ALL THAT REMAINS' run Stateside run on Ozzfest 2006.

"We had such a killer time at the KsE / Myspace secret show Monday night," Labonte says. "That was, hands down, the best show we've ever played in LA, so thanks a ton to everyone who made it happen and thanks to everyone who came down so early to check us out!"

Meanwhile, Labonte also commented on the current tour featuring ALL THAT REMAINS supporting Killswitch Engage, which sees veteran drummer Tim Yeung (Vital Remains, Hate Eternal) filling in on drums. "This tour is awesome, every night is great," he says. "Tim is tearing it up behind the kit, everyone in ATR has never felt better, all the other bands are great to hang out with and all the shows look like they're sold out! It-s an amazing time indeed! Thanks to everyone for comin' out and havin- a good time with us!"

ALL THAT REMAINS, upon completion of the Nov. 26 Spokane, WA date of the current tour, will depart for the United Kingdom to directly support DragonForce on a sold-out tour of England before returning again to Massachusetts before embarking on a North American headlining tour beginning in late January and continuing through February alongside Misery Signals and rotating slots from The Human Abstract, Cellador and Prosthetic Records labelmates LIGHT THIS CITY.

Linkin Park Singer Stalked By Albuquerque Woman

Sandia National Laboratories has fired an employee accused of using a computer owned by the labs to hack into phone and computer accounts owned by Chester Bennington, the lead singer of the band LINKIN PARK, a labs spokesman said.

Devon Lynn Townsend, who worked in Sandia's Technology and Manufacturing Group, has been charged with fraud and related activity, according to filings in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque.

The labs have conducted an internal investigation over the past several days and terminated her employment today (Wednesday, Nov. 22), said Michael Padilla, a labs spokesman.

In October, an agent from the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General uncovered evidence that Townsend had hacked into cell phone and computer accounts owned by Bennington and his wife, Talinda Bennington, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.

The U.S. Secret Service had received a complaint from the Benningtons that "an unknown person, without authorization, had somehow accessed their Verizon Wireless telephone account," according to the complaint.

The Secret Service traced the unauthorized access back to a computer address owned by Sandia, the complaint said.

The labs inspected the computer and traced the activity to an account owned by Townsend. The computer had been used to access the couple's Verizon Wireless accounts and change passwords, according to the complaint.

Sandia investigators also found a desktop folder on the computer that contained a 34-page Verizon Wireless bill that belonged to the Benningtons, the complaint said.

Destiny Part Ways With Singer, Seek Replacement

Long-running Swedish metallers DESTINY have issued the following update:

"Kristoffer joined DESTINY in 2001 and has recorded two albums ('Future Of The Past' and 'Beyond All Sense 2005') with the band. For some time it has been clear that Kristoffer wanted to leave the band. The last gig he played with DESTINY was at the Gothenburg Metal Festival last spring. The split is amicable and DESTINY wishes Kristoffer good luck with his future projects.

"This will, of course, delay the completion of the new DESTINY album 'Cold Fire', but hopefully not for long. Any one that is interested in the position as lead singer for DESTINY should contact the band via info[at]destinymetal.com

"2007 will be the 25th anniversary for DESTINY and apart from the release of the new album, 'Cold Fire', there will be re mastered and re recorded double album releases of 'Nothing Left To Fear' and 'Atomic Winter'. Both double albums will feature never-before-released bonus tracks."
