Glory Of This are currently seeking a new frontman. Here's the band's official press release:
Glory Of This seeks new frontman. Requirements are simple:
We are headed in a new direction as a band. Glory of This (Indianola Records) is adapting to its harder side and moving into an area where we are focusing more on the aggresive part of our music. If you are interested in being the Frontman for Glory of This you need to be able to:
Use an aggressive vocal ability to adapt to the bands genre (i.e. screaming primarily); Put forth an energetic live show (for this is what the band is based on); Have an interest in touring as much as possible, even as much as 8 months per year; Have the ability to live off of touring situations (sleeping in vans, strangers houses, living off of a small per diem).
If you have any number of the previously mentioned attributes, please feel free to contact the band at their MySpace or contact Cory directly at caseals@msn.com.
Previous touring, previously recorded material (video and/or audio), and living close to Pensacola, FL are definate positives. Please dont be offended if you are asked personal questions. This is very serious to us and should be to you too.

Ex-Diabolic Guitarist Dies
Florida-based death metallers DIABOLIC have issued the following update:
"Just got a call from Jerry Mortellaro [ex-DIABOLIC guitarist] tonight letting us know that Bryan Hipp, ex-DIABOLIC guitarist, died last night [Saturday, Oct. 21]. Cause of death unknown.
"Bryan Hipp helped write songs off the DIABOLIC album 'Subterranal Magnitude' and helped DIABOLIC complete the 'Death Metal Massacre' Metal Maniacs tour 2000, opening for CANNIBAL CORPSE, GOD DETHRONED and HATE ETERNAL.
"We are posting the song 'Infernalism' Bryan Hipp wrote back in 1999. Bryan Hipp also played in BRUTALITY, CRADLE OF FILTH, and in BLASTMASTERS he helped write the song 'Implemented Digital Control'!!! On stage Bryan Hipp would explode with raging headspins. His talent to create some of the most dark and evil riffs will be missed."

The track comes off the band's new album, "Shellfire and Tombstones", which was recorded and mixed in July/August 2006 at Diet Of Worms Studio in Seffner, Florida with producer Juan "Punchy" Gonzalez (MORBID ANGEL). The album features artwork by acclaimed Swedish artist Mathias Noren and is tentatively scheduled for release late 2006/early 2007 through an as-yet-undetermined label.
Blinded Colony's "Bedtime Prayers" Release Delayed
The sophomore release from Sweden’s BLINDED COLONY, “Bedtime Prayers” has been pushed to January 9th Worldwide and January 12th in Europe. BLINDED COLONY recently posted their first single, “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” from “Bedtime Prayers” onto their Myspace and their Official Website. Pivotal Rockordings will still be hosting a listening party in support of Bedtime Prayers on November 14th at Metal Haven in Chicago at 8pm CST. Interview
Interview With Project Steiger's Ken Steiger
Los Angeles, California's PROJECT STEIGER is headed up by Ken Steiger, a celebrated guitar instructor at Musicians Institute who is now busy promoting his sensational new self-released CD entitled "Defiance". He has surrounded himself with the best of the best from the progressive heavy music scene, names that true disciples of the genre will clearly recognize at first glance. I am most taken aback by the man's spirit and zest for the life of metal music, and that is why I wanted to make this interview happen so badly. I believe many of you who are just starting out on learning guitar or maybe are picking it back up again, can learn a whole lot from Ken Steiger. And I don't speak merely about his ability to teach chops. I speak of the man's character, along with his unbridled passion and relentless pursuit to achieve great things at what he loves doing most. Enthroned Part Ways With Singer
Guitarist Nornagest of the long-running Belgian black metal warlords ENTHRONED has sent the following message to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"On October 19th 2006, the decision was taken that longtime vocalist Sabathan won't be a part of ENTHRONED anymore. It was time to choose whether we would go on like this and lead ENTHRONED to a certain death or whether it will continue in its original perspectives.
"I've been involved within this creation for almost 15 years and Sabathan has always been my war-brother within this journey, but some issues occurred between him and the rest of the band regarding several factors, but we prefer to keep those things in between ourselves, things that [aren't] your business.
"To make a long story short; Sabathan isn't interested nor have conviction in our faith (black metal here so to speak) anymore, and for the last two years we were not able to practice nor to write music in a decent way. More...

Arch Enemy Venture Out To Perth, Australia
The Perth venue Club Capitol is strangely disturbing. Red velvet curtains, disco balls and red lighting combine to evoke a twilight zone somewhere between sleazy cabaret and low-budget submarine flick. However, there are not many suitable venues in this city for a band like Arch Enemy, so Tuesday night saw the club filled to overflowing with metal fans eager to experience the melodic metal legends. Acheron Re-Release To Include Bonus Tracks
Legendary underground cult USBM band ACHERON will reportedly be reissuing its classic 1992 debut album "Rites of the Black Mass" on South American label Dying Music. The CD will include bonus tracks of demo versions of songs featured on the album. The re-release is expected out before the end of 2006.
Even though ACHERON is presently on a hiatus, it is rumored that the band will be doing select shows where they will perform the "Rites of the Black Mass" album in its entirety from beginning to end to celebrate the upcoming re-release. It is also believed that band founder Vincent Crowley has been talking to the group's "Rites of the Blass Mass" lineup about reuniting for these select shows. However, it should be noted that there has been no official confirmation regarding these rumored activities.
