Severe Torture Post Tour Diary From Vader Tour
Severe Torture are currently on tour with Vader and God Dethroned and have been keeping a diary whilst out on the road.
Here's the (lengthy) SEVERE TORTURE tour report so far:
"The tour started out on the 28th of september in Berlin(DE). After hooking up with Vader, God Dethroned and crew we picked our bunks in the nightliner. This bus was going to be our home for 6 weeks and as far as our experience goes, this was the best and biggest bus we ever had! The first show was better than we expected. Turnout was good for a Thursday (200+) and people seemed to like us. It definitely was a perfect start of the tour!
The second day we went to Jena(DE). The venue was great and we spent the afternoon with some sightseeing in the center of the city. Turnout was good again and the audience was wicked as well. The beer tasted very good and both God Dethroned and Vader gave good shows as well. More...
God Forbid Announce Tour and Plans for 2007
God Forbid have announce that they will be doing a short tour with A Life Once Lost at the end of this month. The tour will include a performance at the Saints and Sinners Festival taking place in Asbury Park, NJ. God Forbid guitarist, Doc Coyle, has posted the following update from the road:
“We are very happy to be home from a great European run. Heaven Shall Burn, Maroon, Cataract, Purified in Blood, A Perfect Murder and Narziss were all great people and excellent bands. Some of my personal highlights on the tour were the last show in Essen (the biggest show and the crowd was rowdy as fuck), Denmark (where we were fortunate enough to play with the legendary Entombed) and Austria (where fuckers just lost their minds).”
“There were plans in place for a U.S. headlining tour to close out the year, but it’s been rescheduled for Jan.- Feb. We want to do at least one more U.S. run before we start working on another album. What better way to come back than to play a long set with the biggest, most elaborate show that God Forbid has ever has done! We should have a concrete announcement in the coming weeks. There hasn't been an American tour since June, so we are raring to go. Speaking of shows, in addition to the Saints and Sinners Festival we have two shows with our good friends in A Life Once Lost and Diecast that same weekend. These will probably be our last shows of the year, so be sure to make it out.”

Testament Add Perth Date To Australian Tour
Veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers TESTAMENT have added a Perth date to their upcoming Australian tour. Confirmed dates are as follows:
Feb. 07 - Melbourne, Australia @ the Prince of Wales Hotel
Feb. 08 - Sydney, Australia @ the Manning bar
Feb. 09 - Brisbane, Australia @ the Waterloo Hotel
Feb. 11 - Perth, Australia @ the Capital
TESTAMENT is now tentatively planning to enter the studio in early 2007 to record the long-awaited follow-up to 1999's "The Gathering", due before the end of next year.
In a spring 2006 interview with LivingForMetal.com, TESTAMENT guitarist Eric Peterson stated that the upcoming CD will feature the band's original lineup. He said, "We're gonna get Louie [Clemente] to come back to do some songs. The drummer situation, we are probably gonna use a couple of drummers 'cause we've had people that are in our lives and a part of TESTAMENT so it wouldn't be fair to not have these people play on it. Probably Jon Allen from DRAGONLORD and SADUS will play on it, who's also been a part of TESTAMENT and toured with us. Just the way we do things now, we don't tour extensively so it's kind of hard to keep steady players. Like if something comes up and someone's not available we'll go, 'Let's see if this guy's available.' Yeah it's gonna be killer, the new material is sounding pretty old-school. . . Alex's [Skolnick, guitar] got some riffs that he's been sending me and they sound pretty TESTAMENT, just really cool stuff. Like that 'Apocalyptic City' kind of vibe. Good chord progressions with octaves over it."

"Once again, we're here apologizing to our European fans. And, once again there's a disaster with getting overseas. It's completely out of our hands and it sucks. We wish there was a way to get over there, especially since we were announced to be on the tour. There's just no funding for us to get there. We're doing our best to make it up to guys. We're hoping to tour Europe early next year! Once again, sorry guys and girls. We love Europe and our European fans, we will be back!!!!"
The County Medical Examiners Complete Album
Underground grind/metal band THE COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINERS has completed work on their Relapse debut, Olidous Operettas.
Olidous Operettas, the band's first recorded discharge in three years, was recorded and mixed at Tillinghast Workshop and is scheduled for a January 2007 release. The complete track listing is as follows: “Casper’s Dictum”, “Morgagnic Anatomics”, “Necrotic Apologues”, “Blunt Force Flight”, “The Virchow Postmortem Procedure”, “Expeditious Evisceratory Mishap”, “Maturating Decompositional Gas” and “Kaleidoscopic Malacia”. A sample of the Olidous Operettas artwork can be previewed here and a three minute audio teaser can be heard via the band’s official MySpace page.
THE COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINERS (TCME) are a collection of real-life pathologists with an unhealthy adoration of and fixation on CARCASS. Formed by Dr. Morton Fairbanks M.D. (Guitar) and Dr. Jack Putnam M.D. (Drums), the band--rounded out by 63-year-old Dr. Guy Radcliffe--have always felt that the label "Carcass Clone" should be a badge of honor and distinction, and pursue that emulation with an almost religious zeal.
TCME have previously released one full-length and a split album (with Sweden's GENERAL SURGERY) via Razorback Records.
