Instil Announce New Guitarist and More News
Instil has officially announced the addition of guitarist Wouter Jillings to their line-up. Wouter replaces Joop Suelmann, who left the band last month. Here's a statement from the group:
"Thanks to everyone for showing so much enthusiasm and interest in the guitar auditions. It was not by any means an easy decision to make. After the departure of Jaap and Joop we couldn't find a good guitarist listening to the name of Jeep or Jiip but we have been fortunate to find in our opinion one of the best unrecognized metal guitarists from the north, Wouter Jillings. Wouter is formerly of the band Escadron, death/thrash youngsters from Friesland.”
The following is a statement from Wouter “Killings” on coming into the band headstrong!
”I’m proud that I am now part of Instil. After a few practise sessions it was obvious that these guys are very talented and professional but also have their sarcastic sick humour so this is the right band for me. They have it all. The guys make me feel welcome and also my girlfriend supports me in this new adventure. It’s not an easy job to replace Joop but the feeling is right. Actually we’re inspired that much that we already write new songs together. I can’t wait for the first show to get on stage. See you there!”
In related news, the band has been holding auditions to find a new drummer to replace Jaap. He will leave soon to spend some more time for his study and mosh collective Vindictive. The band hopes to announce a our new drummer soon. In the meantime our shows are still taking place.
Finally, for the first time in the tour history of Instil they'll be heading to the UK in Nov/Dec. They will do a couple of shows with our buddies in The Architect (NL) and Viatrophy (UK) who recently joined Necrophagist on their UK-tour.

Slayer Post 'Eyes Of The Insane' Video Online
SLAYER's video for the song "Eyes of the Insane" has been posted online exclusively at MP3.com.
Directed by Iranian filmmaker Tony Petrossian (SLIPKNOT), "Eyes of the Insane" is a first-person narrative about the horrors leading up to the final moments of a solder at war. The entire video is a single, long and tight close-up of the soldier's eye with images clearly reflected within his pupil and iris and perfectly choreographed with the rhythm of the music. Reflected are disconcerting images of para trooping into enemy territory, gunfire, helicopters and tanks, explosions, poignant flashbacks of his wife and child and home, and the images of his death. Two endings were filmed — one where the soldier dies from his combat injuries, and the other where he commits suicide. More...

Finnish black metallers CATAMENIA have posted the following message on their official web site:
"To prevent the annoying speculations of how things went in European tour and why Tero [Nevala, keyboards] is not anymore in the band, we decided to make an official statement regarding the situation.
"When finishing the Russian tour, Tero informed at the train station of St. Petersburg he won't continue to the European tour with us, but he'll go back to Moscow. We do not know the exact reason for this, but we have seen how things turned out — he simply followed our Russian promoter there. Thank you for these years and good luck in the future, Tero. More...
