Dokken Sign With Frontiers Records
Frontiers Records has announced the signing of DOKKEN for the release of a brand new studio album in 2007.
DOKKEN's upcoming CD, tentatively titled "Lightning Strikes Again", will be "a classic DOKKEN style release, something that all the fans have been asking for," says Don Dokken. "We hope to be done with the production of the record within January 2007, so that we can plan a full European tour for the summer time!"
DOKKEN's latest CD, "Hell to Pay", was released in July 2004 via Sanctuary. The recording lineup on the album was as follows: Don Dokken (vocals), Jon Levin (guitar, ex-WARLOCK), Barry Sparks (bass, TED NUGENT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, MSG) and Mick Brown (drums).

they are still a band wow. they probably play 12 year olds b-day parties. im sorry i know george lynch is a good guitar player but i hate dokken and all the other bullsh** hair metal. glam metal should not be on METAL UNDERGROUND and neither should nu metal, grunge, and the current bullsh** avenged sevenfold trend.

DUDE YOU GOTTA LOVE DOKKEN !!! Comeon when the other band's were glameing it up with their sound.Dokken was one of the few band's that kept it heavy. So they came out of the glam era. They rocked harder than most of the stuff comeing out back then. That includes the king's of that era Motley Crue,Ratt & Poison. The only thing I see wrong with this is George Lynch is no longer in the band.

Hey I guess I am not "Alone Again" In my opinions of Dokken... So many excellent tunes are in the entire Dokken catolog...From the first thru Hell To Pay..its all been great... and I assume this will be no different...
agreeing with post 5.......the shredders of todays metal got their start by listening to those guys like George Lynch and Vivian Campbell and Warren DiMartini.... \m/ Hail to the "Hair Metal" guitar gods..!!!!!

HELL YEAH !!!!....It really is to bad that Don & George's animosity toward each other is keeping them from functioning like a coheesive unit.Every great front man has to have his side kick/best friend guitarist.Think about it.Plant & Page,Mick & Keith,Tyler & Perry even Axl & Slash(for about as long as it lasted),but I guess everything happens for a reason.Look's like we'll be getting some new Lynch Mob.
Now that I think about it that animosity probably fueled alot of their song writeing.

I have to admit that I liked the Lynch Mob albums just as much as any Dokken..... Maybe someday they will work together again...but I seen them in concert several times in the 80s and those two did not get along at all...yelling at each other between songs...it was really quite amazing they lasted as long as they did...I kind of got the impression that Don had kind of a superiority complex...or just a problem with LSD (lead singer disease..) its somewhat similar..

Yeah that was the going rumor about the real reason for their resentment. But what can you do.I still have a copy of Georges collaboration with Tony Mcalpine.Tears of Sahara from the Maximum Security album.Truly an Epic instrumental featureing two "COUNTEM"two master's.GOOD STUFF !!!!

Hey man... Tony McAlpine..doesnt get mentioned all too often...I met him during a guitar clinic back in about 89...He was and still is an amazing guitar player.. another original "shredder" from the world of hair metal...although he was pretty much stuck with the afro...
12. writes:
Yeah he was and still is seriously underated.Honestly I only just recently (like 6 month's ago)found out Tony's still recording.I've been meaning to pick up the new stuff but have not been able to.Financial/Girl Friend issues=SHEER INSANITY !!!!! Causing me to not keep up with my hobbies which by the way keep me sane.Perhapse it's time I traded her in for that 22yr old I been sneaking around with(just kidding it would be just my luck if my girl is lurking right now.)

I mention macAlpines CARVIN because I was the lucky winner of a california carved top[CARVIN] at the 60th Anniversary for CARVIN in poway CA where he played along w/ VAI and many others, that would make my 9th guitar, most of which are FENDER stratocasters, I do have a prized GIBSON les paul and an ESP.I learned alot of my stuff from DOKKEN and LYNCH in the early years a foundation built on rock!!!! -myspace.com/thelastofdays

I have 6..including a Les Paul..but my favorite is my Kramer Nightswan...I dont own a fender..of any sort...Never really liked the Fender necks... Does that Carvin play pretty nice or what..? I have never heard anything bad about Carvins..ever.!! I have always wanted one though...

I dont see Lynch joining Dokken again any time real soon...The last time was for the Dysfunctional release...and then he split again...him and Don just dont get along at all.!! As for their musical collaborations, they are a phenominal team though..!!!
As well as DLR and Van Halen...DLR was the best frontman for Van Halen...That was evident when they released the track Me Wise Magic for the greatest hits thing..that song was better than any Van Hagar tunes... Sammy Hagar was much better as a solo act.!!!!!!!!
